Official Hackett can't target Sammy thread
Dirtbag replied to JohninMinn.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i'm guessing marrone does the right thing and hurls lil' nate under the bus to save his own ass. the bolded part is what really burns. i'm so tired of watching no-name players have career days against the bills. it's infuriating and predictable. -
Bills vs. Patriots officiating thread
Dirtbag replied to Orton's Arm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
dunno about that, man. when i lived in boston, the pats fans would whine endlessly about any bad call. if the pats won (often, yes) then they would let stuff go. if they lost, however, all you would hear would be how the ref's screwed them. complaining about referees is built into the dna of most fans. -
i've long suspected that house is actually a labradoodle.

hope guy serves up a heaping plate of mac-daddi-roni-salad during halftime. he's driving the bus to flavor town where the girls are fly and the food is straight-up money, yo.

exactly. there is literally 0% chance that nix somehow drafted ej without whaley's consent. there's no way the entire organization would allow an outgoing gm to just draft whoever he wanted against the wishes of the heir apparent. and if they did, they should all be fired. when nix retired two weeks after the draft, i remember some reporters (graham? wgr?) talking about how the move would effectively give whaley cover if the picks didn't pan out. given brandon's recent comments, that seems to be the case.

russ brandon deserves the honor for finally opening up the rochester and toronto markets. that was nixon-to-china level diplomacy.

i was totally taking a dump when buddy went rogue and drafted ej.

how does new ownership impact original pizza logs?
Dirtbag replied to Dirtbag's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
DO NOT DISRESPECT THE LOG! hey rockefeller, why don't you go eat your snickers bar with a knife and fork? -
John Rzeznik to sing the National anthem
Dirtbag replied to youngjebrey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
firstly, i suspect that this song rocks just a little too hard for you to handle, which is why you're pretending to be too cool for school. secondly, corporate pop rock is the best. and the best place to listen to corporate pop rock is in front of a corporate office of some sort. duh. thirdly, corporate appreciation events can be pretty crazy -- you ever see a grown man attempt to do the limbo while wearing a pair of ill-fitting docker khakis? it's nuts. and this song is the perfect match for that sort of event. could you imagine a senior operations manager buckling under the limbo bar just as the chorus "long way down" comes on??? how hilarious and appropriate would that be? -
in his spanish interviews, kiko is as smooth and sultry as honey-voiced star wars actor billy dee williams.

Former Pats TE Christian Fauria calls in to WGR
Dirtbag replied to K D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i can't believe that was real. i turned on wgr about midway through the call and thought it was someone doing a really lame impersonation of a new england fan in a weak attempt at getting buffalo fans riled up. i had no idea it was fauria. i only listened for about 2 minutes before turning it off because it was so unfunny. -
how does new ownership impact original pizza logs?
Dirtbag replied to Dirtbag's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yes, the crotch area is an ideal environment for a log or, really, any finger food. i would also suggest wearing an adult diaper so the log is cushioned against any "overly handsy" security guard you might encounter at the gate. excellent question. the only rule is that consumers cannot buy original pizza logs from both the sabres and bills on the same day. for example, if you go to the bills game on a sunday and purchase an original pizza log, you WOULD NOT be allowed to purchase another log later in the day at the sabres night game. that's a strict no-no. you would, however, be able to purchase a log at a sunday bills game and a monday night sabres game since there's no conflict of interest. it's almost an identical policy to the no-trade policy to the same geographic area that i laid out in the other thread. same idea except with original pizza logs. hope this helps! -
Terry Pegula owning TWO sports team? Too much to handle?
Dirtbag replied to mellaman101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
it's pretty simple: pegula is allowed to own two teams in buffalo, but the sabres/bills CANNOT make same-day trades with multiple teams in one geographic location. for example these trades would not be allowed to occur on the same day: ej manuel for tony romo (dallas cowboys) AND tyler ennis for tyler sequin (dallas stars) the reason these trades are illegal is because both players are located in dallas. this is a strict no-no. if the trades happened on separate days, they would be allowed. (keep in mind the bills could trade for romo and the sabres could trade for, say, eli manning on the same day, however). i'm still unclear what would happen if the bills attempted to trade with the giants/jets on the same day as a sabres trade with the rangers/devils/islanders (since the giants/jets play in new jersey even though their names suggests otherwise). i'm sure this confusion will be cleared up in today's news conference with the pegulas. anyway, hope this helps! -
apparently this method of advertising is really working: Evan Kiely 10 hours ago Hi Kiko, this is Houston, Evan and Sean. We love you so much! I will buy Campbell's.
