  1. yeah, you're right, they're not selling hope. how are the 2016 prospects looking?
  2. dude is doing one of the most cynical things a team's owner can do -- starving the team of talent so that they lose while selling fans hope. it's awful to root for a team like that, much less pay money to watch them. hopefully the sabres experience taught him the importance to get the right people in place quickly. if he makes no moves this off season then ends up firing marrone and whaley after next season, i'll lose my mind. i'm sick of waiting for the winning. get your coach and gm right (whether if it's this group or someone else) this off-season, commit to a larger plan to get the team in the playoffs quickly (hint: it involves finding a quarterback) and stick with it.
  3. eloquently voiced. sadly, our belief in their lack of balls is accurate and will only be reinforced in the coming weeks. they are ball-less. we should pity them, these eunuchs of the nfl.
  4. you forgot to include the players, the rest of the coaches and the management. oh, also sully and schopp.
  5. if manziel can play special teams, marrone loves this idea.
  6. i almost feel bad for him. almost. it's so odd that the dude who ran the no-huddle with a rookie qb last year isn't interested in actually listening to the data behind going for it on fourth down. you would think that someone with that mentality would be willing to adapt based on new information. i'm guessing that all those years of listening to old-school, cigar chomping, manly-men football coaches who never went for it on fourth down really left an impression on him. it's gotta be difficult to understand that something you've always believed and been taught is wrong. i wouldn't be completely stunned to see him go for it on fourth in the coming weeks. if the urbik situation is any indicator, marrone is a slow learner who will eventually do the right thing when things get dire. i'm guessing the k.c. and miami debacles might have him reconsidering everything. hopefully the shock of going from being a playoff contender to completely out of it in the matter of four days has knocked some sense into him.
  7. "...and if you bundle cable with home phone and internet, the savings are even greater!"
  8. i'm going with washington though i'm not thrilled about it. looking at their schedule, this is the last week i feel i can (somewhat) safely take them.
  9. there are people on this board right now arguing that the bills ineptitude for the past decade+ is due to a shadowy, vast conspiracy -- an unholy cabal of business interests, the nfl, players, refs, the mafia, broadcast networks all targeting our hometown team. i'm pretty sure tuel would get some votes.
  10. yes and yes!
  11. i would love to see the numbers if the choice was between orton, ej and tuel.
  12. fine. then what about their defense coordinator, that bearded dude? everyone else on belichick's staff has had an opportunity to go somewhere else and fail except for him. i think he deserves the opportunity to fail with the bills, then go back to new england and kick our ass again.
  13. Quote In his first few starts Orton exceeded expectations, but he's come crashing back to earth at a scorching pace. Defenses have figured him out, realizing he struggles to hit the deep throws and is not the most accurate on short-to-intermediate throws. as long as the bills become a lateral-based offense, they'll be fine.
  14. time for another miracle courtesy of st. doug, the patron saint of pinky toe healing!
  15. yes, but love means never having to say you're sorry.
  16. i'm just gonna assume that the nfl told marrone not to play urbik and mike williams. it's easier that way.
  17. this made me laugh.
  18. if it's something you feel that strongly about, then by all means do it. just be sure you hang up before they ask you why the nfl would conspire against the bills since there's no reasonable answer.
  19. don't be that guy.
  20. he also said he never thought about going for it on fourth down during the chiefs game. this begs the question, exactly what is going on in his mind during the game?
  21. agreed. ej is just as capable at not throwing touchdowns.
  22. i have an alternative theory: the bills suck.
  23. the narrative is that whaley is a genius talent evaluator. please don't ruin it.
  24. the only thing more embarrassing than getting a tramp stamp, is getting a buffalo bills tramp stamp.
