    if our offensive woes are due to the scouting staff below whaley, then our defensive success should be attributed to them as well. and if our gm is deferring to scouts for all the tough decisions (especially regarding qb and the trading of first round draft picks) then he shouldn't be in that position.

    don't be so fatalistic. there's still a decent chance one or both of those guys will be canned. i'm guessing pegula won't touch whaley because he adores anything pittsburgh. if hackett and marrone were smart, they would start wandering around one bills drive in penguin jerseys while holding one of those french fry and cole slaw sandwiches from primanti brothers.

    also, we're only about three weeks away from someone (hopefully) getting fired! off season firings/hirings are pretty much the most exciting part of being a bills fan. they're like our playoffs.

    i suspect that he came to buffalo because he knew that the defensive personnel was so sick it would make him look like a great coach to any future employer. and that's not to say he hasn't done a good job, because he certainly has. still, only a coaching antique like wannstedt could make something so inedible out of such delicious ingredients.

    the bills never conform to what others are doing. i suppose you also think that the bills should occasionally make the playoffs just because "that's what other teams do."
