  1. I thought Alonzo was the best & I think the only reason that he lost the 2nd season was because Heffron had the set of his life & was also a newlywed & got the sentimental votes because they kept showing his wife. I watched the "3rd season" finale on Comedy Central Alonzo got the big prize -$250,000. I liked Alonzo because he did the most sports related stuff. Best one : I was watching Olympic Gymnastics & didn't realize that I was a pedophile until... London is a trip. Some of his better lines included : I'm the third from the left on the evolutionary chart. I worked at Bed, Bath & Beyond, I was Beyond. It's almost over, You'll never see me again, Thank You. I thought Gulman was very average. My favorite joke was Dave Mordall's about his father confusing the remote for the tv with his cell phone that results in his father hitting redial when he changes the channel. I don't remember exactly how he told it, but the punchline is that every time his father goes to change the channel, he gets a phone call.
  2. Seems like every week we get shortchanged by this shell of the former Inside The NFL with Len & Nick. How can these idiots not even show this game with a ton of scoring. Every Thursday by 9:00 I'm totally PO'd at this farce.
  3. The Clements to Notre Dame possibility makes me wonder how long we can keep these coaches. Clements-probably going to ND, if not he's on borrowed time before someone makes him a head coach. The ND stories have put this guy on everyone's radar screen. Gray-He's probably here for 1 more year. If we are as good as I think we'll be next year, he's going to be a red hot HC candidate. Krumrie-I hope he stays, but he's on the last year of his contract & sooner or later he's going to get a coordinator position & could be a HC within 5 years. Studesville & Tolbert are young coaches who could get noticed if the Bills continue to develop their RBs & WRs. Fortunately, McNally & April are lifers at OL & ST respectively.
  4. Euhus is doubtful http://www.buffalobills.com/team/injury.jsp
  5. Please let it be Weis. We need continuity & NE needs chaos.
  6. I read the report that Euhus was starting & assumed that Peters wasn't in the TE mix, Then I went to the Bills injury report & Euhus is listed as doubtful, so I guess I jumped the gun for this week, but I stand by my 2005 camp statement, unless Peters has a bustout rest of 2004 at TE.
  7. For anyone who still thinks Peters future is at TE, the signing of Trafford should put an end to the speculation. He wears 71, has to report in when he's an extra blocker & they have no intention of playing him at TE, otherwise they would not have replaced Campbell with Trafford. Peters will be OL/ST and will have to make the 05 roster as that & not a TE
  8. I've turned to Bob Matthews evening show on WHAM 1180 out of Rochester. It's the only station I can get in that talks about the Bills (Tonight Felser & Roth are on). The problem is sometimes I can't get the station due to atmospheric stuff. More bad news about Empire: Their website still doesn't have this week's updates (Still on Seattle game) Only good news is that if it's still around after my cable company pulls the plug on 12/29, the sound is streamed on their website
  9. Gregg-0 & Danny Smith had Antonio Brown returning kicks with McGee on the bench last year.
  10. It was 22. 24 means we're in the playoffs.
  11. I'm watching the Giants-Redskins game and one of the guys called Gregg a defensive genius. I certainly remember him getting defensive in his postgame pcs, but I don't remember him as a genius.
  12. We'll actually be picking higher because the NFC teams with worse records that make the playoffs will be drafting behind us. Realistically, even if we go 10-6 the odds of the playoffs are low because all our loses are in the AFC. If we don't make the playoffs, the lowest we can pick is 20. Right now we're 18-19th.
  13. Sure we got close the 1st 2 games but: Willis didn't do enough in preseason to beat out Travis. Chances are the extra weeks on the bench were needed to bring him closer to 100% Coy Wire & Izell Reese were our starting safeties. Milloy wasn't ready & Baker was an undrafted rookie who needed more reps. McGee is playing better than Vincent was, so 3/4 of our DBs weren't playing & no coach would have made the change to McGee & Baker opening day. The O line wasn't heathy enough for McNally to work his magic on. Evans & Euhus needed more reps to get to the point they're at now. Euhus will be better next year, If Evans gets better he might as well get a timeshare in Hawaii for February. The firecracker behind Sam Adams hadn't been lit yet & Denney was still starting. Mularkey needed to get some gameday experience as a head coach. This year is getting good, next year will be SUPER!
  14. No Gramaticas!!! Get an extra pick for Henry, trade down in round 2 & take Nugent in either round 2 or 3. Pick up TE & OL in free agency & win Super Bowl XL.
  15. I'm shocked! Who could have imagined that all that bulk & muscles weren't from hard work in the weight room. Did he know he was taking steroids or was he in the dark like Barry Bonds
  16. 1st I thought this was a joke. Then I checked it out & found out that you can always find someone (in this case some bozo psychologist) who is willing to put a label on something if people are willing to give you money. It appears that this guy took some rant from Rush Limbaugh & turned it into cash in his pocket.
  17. He wasn't brought here to get us to barely qualify for the playoffs and then go out early like the Dolphins were doing during the JJ years and the early Wanny years. If you'd rather we were the Dolphins of the late 90's I have a different opinion. He has put together the foundation of a solid team for years to come. Maybe it has taken a little longer than expected, but the future is very bright. I'd hate to see a guy leave when his contract expires in a year from now because he took the bold path of building a championship team instead of an annual make the playoffs & exit quickly team. I believe he's got us on the verge of greatness, just like the 1987 Bills, I'd hate to see him not be around when the seeds he's planted bloom.
  18. The McGahee for Henry switch = Flutie for Johnson as far as impact in the W/L column.
  19. I know a few weeks ago half this board wanted to fire the guy, but the bottom line is he has put us in a position to be a major player for Super Bowl XL in Detroit, Ralph's home town. Sure his W-L record to date sucks, but the goal all along has been to bring a Super Bowl Championship to Buffalo and we're very close in the next 2-3 years. Looking over his drafts, undrafted free agents & NFL free agent pickups he's been as good as we could have possibly expected. Everyone makes some mistakes as GM, but the better ones don't back down in pursuit of a championship. His biggest mistake was Gregg Williams when he could have chosen John Fox (Lewis didn't want to be here). I can't view the Drew trade as a big mistake because he was trying to give his coach a fair shot at success and the top 2 QB prospects were gone before we drafted Mike Williams at 4. Here are the guys who he brought in as rookies who are still on the roster, it's more impressive than most give him credit for: 2001: Clements, Schobel, Henry, Edwards, Jennings. He also signed some obscure punter from NFL Europe named Brian Moorman. 2002 (his worst of 4 years): M. Williams, Reed, Denney, Wire, Bannan, Thomas, Pucillo, Burns. 2003: McGahee, Kelsay,Crowell, McGee, Aiken, Haggan, Dorenbos, Also picked up ST dynamo Josh Stamer 2004: Evans, Losman, Anderson, Euhus, McFarland, J(F) Smith, Baker, Greer, Peters, Ritzman, S. Williams. This year alone, 11 rookies (minus 1-Ritzman who is now on IR) are on the 53 man roster. Evans looks like a star, Euhus should be starting or be a major contributor next year, Baker, an undrafted FA is starting, Freddie Smith has a solid ST future, Losman, Anderson & Peters may be major players in a year or 2. The 2003 draft is starting to look outstanding with McGahee approaching Superstar status, Kelsay playing solid ball, McGee a starting CB & KR star, Aiken becomming a solid #3 receiver because Moulds & Evans are so good. The 2002 may have only Williams and 1 or 2 other reserves left when we reach the promised land. Based on the 1st 3 rounds including some good trade downs for extra picks, 2001 rates as a solid draft. If you take a look at the Polian years, 1986-1992, Donahoe rates pretty darn good on draft day. TD's 2002 draft is no worse than BP's 1989 or 1992 drafts. Additionally TD has brought in the following NFL FAs who are starting: Spikes, Posey, Fletcher, Milloy, Adams, Villarrial, Teague, Shelton (a find off the scrap heap). He also brought in M. Price, Vincent (who may still be a major contributor next year) & Lindell who the jury is still out on. He hasn't spent millions for outright FA busts as others have done. TD has us on the verge of being a dominant team, wait till next year really means something this time. He deserves an extension and the time is now.
  20. A sad day for fans of Buffalo sports in the Albany area. Empire is currently on 675, they have the notification on channel 674.
  21. Does anyone have the details of the incentives in Willis McGahee's contract? I know that when he signed there were incentives written in dependant on his performance. When do they kick in & what effects do they have on the cap in future seasons?
  22. Here's the rest of the story: http://www.newsday.com/entertainment/ats-a...nment-headlines
  23. Taylor was in Bills camp in 2001: 2001 Transactions DATE TRANSACTION Aug. 22 Released RB David Dinkins, QB Pete Gonzalez, LB Donny Green, LB Corey Moore, S Carl Nesmith, DT Devonte Peterson, WR Jonathan Pittman, T Clark Roosendaal, P/K Jay Taylor, and WR Corey Thomas and signed QB Travis Brown
  24. I was at that game it was BUD CARSON's last game as coach of the Browns. Bellichick was still with the Giants.
  25. Best new show in years. I stayed up until 1:30 last night because I couldn't go to sleep until I watched the tape of it.
