Yep, I missed Gannon, but Steichen has always been offense. I thought Harbaugh was Special Teams, but since he was a defensive assistant at times and in his final year before getting the Ravens job, I'll concede that one too. So 2/3.

I've gone on Rally Bus for 2 horse racing events: Kentucky Derby from Indianapolis in 2014 & the Belmont Stakes from Manhattan in 2015. As long as the trip is confirmed, you shouldn't have a problem. The trips went flawlessly, but I've never encountered bad weather so I don't know what they would do if the driving got tough. I also booked an unconfirmed trip from San Francisco to Super Bowl 50 and they didn't get enough people & cancelled it before the game. We ended up driving to a rail station in Fremont where they had busses to the game & back for $20.

I like baseball where the manager is in the same uniform as the players. I'd like to see McDermott clapping on the sidelines in full uniform, shoulder pads included, and a helmet on.

I counted 9, assuming Pierce gets the Raiders job and Belichick coaches next season somewhere. That's hardly a restricted club. Who are the 2 I missed?

Coach of the year candidate Demeco Ryans. Robert Saleh, Mike Tomlin, Antonio Pierce, Matt Eberflus, Dennis Allen, Todd Bowles, and until notified otherwise BILL BELICHICK.

This fan base, sometime, is very concerning
Albany,n.y. replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Observing them together. Here's a quote from a few years ago: "What Mike did was he gave me a blueprint a little bit for what it looked like. He was such a role model for a lot of us, myself included, on campus as a younger player," McDermott said. "He was a fourth-year senior when I got there so he was a good example for me as well as many others. So to watch him go off and graduate and begin his coaching career and the way he did it and the way he climbed the ladder, I've always looked at him as kind of an older brother in the profession because of where we started." -
The difference is nobody would ever call Fitz a nerd. McDaniel is basically a grown-up Steve Urkel.

Head coaches get fired and then come back a few years later as assistants with the team that fired them. This year former Broncos HC Vance Joseph rejoined the Broncos as D coordinator. Many years ago, Jim Ringo returned to the Bills as OC after previously serving as Bills head coach.

My only concern is that Tomlin intimidates McDermott like a more successful older brother can do to his kid brother. -

Leslie Fraizer Interviewing with Chargers
Albany,n.y. replied to 17islongenough's topic in The Stadium Wall
Gailey/Nix/Whaley were horrible. I don't get the love for 33% Gailey. I'll never forget the time Chan punted from the opponent's 34 yard line. Nix hit on a draft choice every now & made the great Jerry Hughes trade, but then was responsible for drafting EJ Manuel in the 1st round. Whaley had bad drafts, not one player in any of his 3 drafts (2014-16, I don't include the McDermott draft of 2017) got a 2nd contract. Whaley also doubled down with the bad trade to move up for Watkins. Take a look at the Whaley drafts-disgraceful! The only part of them getting this team back on track was failing miserably in enough time to get shown the door before the 2018 draft. Those clowns would have probably drafted Josh Rosen. Bad example. Anthony Lynn got the Chargers job in 2017. I remember in 2017 there was talk of the Bills hiring Lynn as HC & I was totally against anyone who came here with Rex Ryan getting the job. -
I read his book last November & I highly recommend it.

Raiders request interview with Terrance Gray for GM job
Albany,n.y. replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Chargers now asking permission to interview Gray. Will someone please hire him as GM so we can get those draft picks. -
Pay him the $23 million & play hardball on any extension before season 6. Do what Baltimore did with Lamar.

They want $547 for Saturday night. However some cheap motels within 20 miles are available in the $100 range: https://www.expedia.com/Hotel-Search?adults=2&children=&destination=Buffalo%2C New York%2C United States of America&endDate=2024-01-14&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA1-6sBhAoEiwArqlGPiVtkNlD0yKaf3SR-O1dRCtmNDJNt7ijK3FKUNrGn5kD6BOfVjxXgRoCZ1AQAvD_BwE&latLong=&locale=en_US&lodging=MOTEL&mapBounds=&pwaDialog=®ionId=717&semcid=US.UB.GOOGLE.DT-c-EN.HOTEL&semdtl=a111798314940.b1151274446778.g1aud-2192524231654%3Akwd-581455592.e1c.m1CjwKCAiA1-6sBhAoEiwArqlGPiVtkNlD0yKaf3SR-O1dRCtmNDJNt7ijK3FKUNrGn5kD6BOfVjxXgRoCZ1AQAvD_BwE.r1.c1.j19004628.k1.d1662787870875.h1e.i1.l1.n1.o1.p1.q1.s1.t1.x1.f1.u1.v1.w1&siteid=1&sort=RECOMMENDED&startDate=2024-01-13&theme=&useRewards=false&userIntent= One time I couldn't leave Albany until Saturday night & decided to bail out in Rochester. The only motel with rooms was the Red Carpet Inn. Worst motel room I've ever been in with the possible exception of the Fair Motel on Rt 17 in NJ about 15 miles from Met-Life.

Raiders request interview with Terrance Gray for GM job
Albany,n.y. replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
They changed the rule. Even if your interim GM or coach is a minority, they must interview a minority candidate from outside the organization. I didn't know that until someone recently explained why the Raiders couldn't just sign Pierce to a new contract until they interview a minority candidate from outside the organization. Updated Rooney Rule: Clubs must conduct an in-person interview with at least one external minority candidate for any GM or head coaching interview. Clubs must continue to consider multiple diverse candidates. Clubs must maintain complete records and provide them to the league upon the Commissioner's request. -
Raiders request interview with Terrance Gray for GM job
Albany,n.y. replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
I hope he gets it ASAP. (Jim Rome listeners will understand) In Al Davis voice: Mark, this is your father, hire Terrance Gray! -
If he drafts the right QB at 3, he'll be good again. If he drafts the wrong one at 3 like Trey Lance or Sam Darnold, he's toast. Look at the carnage from Carolina drafting Young over Stroud. GM & coach gone. I don't believe it was Frazier's decision to leave, nor will he be able to decide to come back.

Most HOF coaches rode a QB to get there. To quote the old Dick Jauron song on WGR: With no quarterbackin' get those bags a packin'

How about that 2022 draft! Even if Elam doesn't work out, and I'm willing to give him one more chance when he's healthy, we had 5 class of 2022 contributing tonight and those final day picks! 2-Cook 3-Bernard 5-Shakir 6-Benford 7-Spector

Dolphins & their fans stuffed the ballot box.

Two weeks ago I said I couldn't wait to see the Dolphins meltdown on the last 2 episodes. I predicted more f's from McDaniel than ever heard on 1 hour of TV.

On both INTs in the endzone, Miami's D made stupid mistakes costing them yardage. 1st Apple runs out of the endzone giving Miami bad field position. Then they lose yardage by catching the ball in the endzone instead of knocking it down & going back to the LOS on 4th down. I wonder if either play has Fins fans complaining about the D backs being poorly coached.
