  1. So Trump chooses an arrogant ass who is a drug addict to run doge. Only the best for Trump. No wonder he was acting like a psycho with his act. Now he is a billionaire with a bad bladder wearing a diaper.
  2. I haven’t heard of Tesla burning parties. How many people are burning their Tesla’s? Like two?
  3. When there is a dem president, republicans love to use the courts and judges to stop them. When Dems use courts to stop trumpy…outrage!! Looks like the system is working. The solution is for congress to act by passing legislation.
  4. Trump paints his face each day and colors his hair to look like a taco, so the name fits well.
  5. I’m late to the discussion here..l.been busy enjoying life away from PPP and maximizing time outside since we have finally gotten some nice weather. With respect to your comment, I remember all the hysteria from the right in response to Obama using executive orders to implement his policy. Now that Trump is doing the same, to an even greater degree, the right is happy. The odd thing is that Republicans control everything, yet Trump still feels he has to resort to EOs rather than working through congress. Which suggests to me that republicans in congress want to distance themselves from his policies. The founding fathers would never support EOs to implement policy. In the early history of our nation, they were rarely used. Conceptually, the President should be working through congress to implement policy. EOs should be the exception, not the norm, yet somewhere along the line congress decided Presidents can do whatever they want through use of that process. I guess I agree with your concept that there is the ideal of how government should work vs how it does work. Here is an interesting link showing how EOs have been used across America’s history. https://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/statistics/data/executive-orders Also…I cast my lot with Biden because I thought he would hurt me less than Trump. I tend to like stability and slow change and felt Trump was too unpredictable. He has proven me right.
  6. Yea, I’ll be labeled TDS. On the larger issue, why isn’t anyone asking why?
  7. Other than some empty words about being tough on Russia, he has acted consistent with the interests of Putin. All his staff with personal contact with Russians, his many private calls with Putin, meetings with Putin surrogates, dismantling US cyber security, firing people involved in cyber defense of our elections, etc. That’s all not by some odd random chance of coincidence. If it acts like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it’s an orange traitor duck.
  8. I absolutely agree with this point. Republicans will never agree to a Dem proposed plan to solve this problem. So they should put their cards on the table and show us their proposal to solve this forever problem. Both sides claim to support legal immigration so let’s make it a workable legal process. American businesses need legal immigrants for many jobs and more people will be paying taxes. Crack down on businesses hiring illegals, more courts to process immigrants, provide a pathway to citizenship, increase support from the Hispanic community, etc. Problem is, other than tax cuts, Republicans can’t or won’t propose anything to solve any complex issue. I hope they prove me wrong.
  9. So Trump sent 50 LEGAL immigrants to a hell hole prison with no charges against them, no prison term sentence, no future. Even murderers and drug cartel leaders get better treatment than that. It’s as if America is the kidnapper sending innocent people to rot in a country that’s not even their own.
  10. How many people in the Clinton, Bush, Obama or Biden administrations had personal ties to Russia? With Trump, it’s almost like a pre-requisite for qualifying to interview for a high level position. No one can explain why.
  11. If Obama had accepted that jet from Quatar, republicans would have gone ape s@#t bonkers and claimed it as proof he is a traitor and not American. They would demand impeachment. Trump does it and his flock of sheep are silent.
  12. Remember the months of debate about Obama Care? Republicans protesting and all their hoopla. Now they are just fine with ramming through this which will have a big negative impact on health care for millions. Still waiting for the big beautiful Trump Care plan he has repeatedly promised.
  13. All this Biden news about his mental and physical health is why we need an age limit of about 70 to run for President. It’s pretty clear people around Biden were managing his mental decline, limiting his speaking appearances. With his prostrate, either they have known he has had the cancer (without telling America) and has been secretly receiving treatment all along and the treatment hasn’t been effective, or he has refused treatment while knowing he has it allowing it to advance (which seems unlikely), or for some stupid reason they haven’t tested for it because they/he didn’t want to know if he had it. It’s all bad. Hopefully he has plenty of days ahead of him to enjoy with his family and friends.
  14. It’s all stupid. Instead of using ambiguous code terms people should just say what they mean. “Vote the bum/idiot out” is all anyone needs to say. There isn’t any context in current society where violent language desired in our politics. Convince people with reason over threats. 10-10
  15. My Dad went through some dementia before he passed. He had good days and bad days and you didn’t know what to expect. Trump will go through the same. Father Time is undefeated. Many say Trump is already in a state of mental decline from years ago as his speech patterns have changed. So when Trump starts to slip up more, will he step down for the good of the country he lives so much? Who will be making the decisions then? Will his supporters want him to step aside? Of course the answer is no and so it is.
  16. Sounds about right. Keeping the coalition of various subgroups together is always a challenge for the Dem leaders.
  17. What’s CBC? Never heard that abbreviation. Never mind. First google gave me complete blood count🤷🏻‍♂️. Further digging found congressional black caucus.
  18. I’m not so sure about that. Trump is a low bar to clear. The Biden team did no favors in helping Harris. If he declined to run a second time, they could have had a better process to choose the nominee. Still doesn’t mean that person would have beaten Trump. Voters were pissed about inflation and the border and that was a Dem problem.
  19. I agree. And deception of supporters happens on both sides as we are seeing with regret of many Trump voters.
  20. Clearly he was in mental decline. Reagan also may have had some age decline while President. Same issue with senators on both sides. We will watch time catch up to Trump as he will be older than Biden by the end of his term. We definitely need an age limit to run for office at the Federal level, yet politicians won’t address that issue. Biden and his advisors betrayed the Democratic Party by concealing his decline and trying to run a second time. He said he was going to be a one term bridge, then his ego got too big.
  21. The fake outrage is crazy. This term is a long way from meaning assassination that Trump and company want you to think. It was still stupid for Comey to post it though. 8646 Tshirts were sold to the MAGA crowd in 2024. Eighty-six is slang meaning "to throw out," "to get rid of," or "to refuse service to." It comes from 1930s soda-counter slang meaning that an item was sold out. https://www.merriam-webster.com/wordplay/eighty-six-meaning-origin
  22. Ok here is the quote: “Let's put her with a rifle standing there with 9 barrels shooting at her. Let's see how she feels about it. You know, when the guns are trained on her face." Are seashells worse than that? Go ahead and debate the semantics. Can we all just agree that violent language in politics is all bad and don’t support it no matter who says it?
  23. Has everyone forgotten about Trump musing about putting Liz Cheney in front of a firing squad? Excusing that and being upset about seashells is wild, unless people are too dumb to see the hypocrisy.
  24. That is sick. Nothing else needs to be said.
  25. The Constitution prohibits federal officials from accepting things of value, or “emoluments,” from foreign governments without congressional approval. “This is a classic example of what the founders worried about,” said Richard Painter, a law professor at the University of Minnesota and former White House ethics chief under Bush. “But I don’t think the founders anticipated it would get this bad.” In his second term, Trump’s family business has been very busy overseas. In December, it struck a deal for two Trump-branded real estate projects in Riyadh with a Saudi firm that two years earlier it had partnered with for a Trump golf resort and villas in Oman. And in Qatar, the Trump Organization announced last month another Trump branded resort along the coast. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/world/will-the-new-air-force-one-be-secure-qatars-gift-to-trump-raises-questions#:~:text=The two planes currently used, design of his personal plane. Does everyone here think there is no ethical conflict with Trump and family and the Saudis or Qatars? For all the justifiable outrage about Hunter Biden, republicans just ignore Trump and family deals. What a cult. Rule #1: You can never criticize the Great Orange Leader.
