For the national media, the Bills exceeded expectations when they whipped Miami in week 2 on TNF. Also, I agree with people who say you have to grab these opportunities when they present themselves. We got some bounces this year. I live in Cincinnati, and the Bengals got zero bounces in the first half of the season. Remember back to week 6. The Bills were coming off of two ugly losses and played at the Jets. The Bills got two missed FGs from Zuerlein in a game that they won 23-20. If the Jets win that game, they would have moved into first place in the AFC East and the season could have been entirely different. Tyler Bass, after early season struggles, banged in a 61-yarder to beat Miami after missing a PAT earlier in the game. Both of those two games could have gone the other way. We now have gotten the Andrews drop. The bounces are going the way of the Buffalo Bills for the first time in a long time. They have to win it now because you never know when you'll get that chance again.

Their starters did have 3.5 weeks off between their game in Pittsburgh on Christmas and their game this past Saturday.

But Doug Whaley was still GM when McDermott was hired. The Jets don't even have a figurehead in place and are letting Woody's sons act as GM.

That was a weird game. The Chiefs were up 21-3 with a minute left in the first half and then only scored 3 more points. I think there was an argument in the locker room at the half of that game over what happened at the end with that pass to Tyreek short of the goal line. You could see Mahomes and Bienimy yelling at each other as they walked off the field. Mahomes never looked the same in the second half. He had defeated body language and a glazed look in his eyes. The Chiefs didn't punt in the first half, and then punted 4 times in the second. They essentially scored TDs on their 4 first-half drives and then couldn't move the ball at all. Mahomes threw two brutal picks that looked like he forgot how to play football. Again, some of that could be attributed to adjustments by Cincinnati but not all of it. Something happened in that locker room. Then, the Chiefs traded their biggest weapon just as they were entering an extended Super Bowl window. That seemed to me to prove that it was either Pat or Tyreek, but they could no longer play together. It obviously worked out great for KC, but at the time it was a shocking move.

It only dropped out when they played the Wire theme music. I just fast-forwarded past that and it worked.

This is at least partly due to the success of the "snowplow." The Bills are like the Eagles in that every drive starts at 1st and 9 because 3rd and 1 is an almost automatic conversion.

I don't feel sorry for Ravens fans. Unless they're children, they have two Super Bowl Champions T-Shirts in their dresser.

I went to multiple games a year as a kid during the mid-80s because tickets were cheap. I was at Kay Stevenson's last game. I was at Jim Kelly's first game as a Bill. I still remember him tripping, getting up and throwing a TD pass. I was also at that 1988 playoff game against Houston (It was actually 1/1/89, but who's counting). That was my last game in person until the Bucs game last year. I'll come up for one final game next season. I'll miss the place. I was also at the last game in the Aud.

Think of it this way. He'll flame out there because Bears, and the Bills can hire him as OC in a few years. Win/Win.

The Ravens were doing a good job containing Josh in the pocket. I can't remember a single rollout to the right, which usually happens multiple times per drive.

Just looked. Mack and Kincaid came wide open, but not until Josh was clearly running.

I'm going to ask this one again. If the Ravens had 4th and goal from the 2, they would most likely run Derrick Henry up the middle. So why throw it there on a 2-point attempt?
