  1. On that Lamar fumble. The audible was stupid on so many levels. It played into the Chiefs obvious blitz When you have a rookie OT in his first play, RUN THE DAMN BALL!!!
  2. Juju has got to catch that. It was in his hands!
  3. THis place is as unbearable as a Bills GDT.
  4. The Chiefs knew the Ravens were trouble when they walked in.
  5. Remember last year against the Lions when the OT for the Chiefs was false starting every play and they never called it?
  6. Now that the cruel summer is over, we have a contest with plenty of bad blood. August, let's shake it off!
  7. Bengals, Bears and Fins have named the maximum of captains this year; 8. A lot of other teams have 7 or 6. Others like the Ravens appoint the captains weekly. The Bills are alone in only having two.
  8. I think we're all extra salty about this because it was a repeat of the 2018 draft. We spent three months obsessing about college players at the position we knew the Bills would be taking. A consensus was formed around those players in this community. Then Brandon Beane goes and takes the guy that we all had ranked as damn near undraftable. It makes us angry, because we want something so badly that we have no control over.
  9. It's not your job to get that right. Dorian Williams is going to make a leap this year too.
  10. Tennis is a psychological battle between two players. Unforced error only means that a player hit a ball out or into the net that they should have made. But the other player has everything to do with it. BTW, tennis has 4 Super Bowls a year; the Australian Open, French Open (Roland Garros), Wimbledon, and the US Open. This is the farthest Jess has made it in any of them, and she got there by beating the #1 player in the world. Good Stuff.
  11. If she wants Andy Reid to put the play in, she needs to diagram it out with nuggies.
  12. No, but we beat the queen of Poland.
  13. Iga hasn't been the same since losing at the Olympics. Carlos Alcaraz too. But go Jess!
  14. She did it!!!!!!
  15. Hardest point to win in tennis is the last one.
  16. I don’t thinks it’s any more complicated than the two guys that call the plays on the field are captains.
  17. I might have done an Elam for Dionte Johnson trade (that about equals what Carolina paid), but I'm not sure that would have moved the needle all that much. I probably would have picked Hollywood Brown instead of Samuel, but I think Joe Brady asked for Samuel.
  18. I had successfully assigned that play to the memory hole. Thanks a lot!
  19. This is what teams do when a CB is the most talented player on their roster. Gotta pay someone.
  20. I think that they will rotate in as weekly captains. The Ravens, Packers, Seahawks, and Commanders appoint their captains weekly. There is no set procedure and all the captains do is go out for the coin toss. Theoretically, they also accept or decline penalties but it's the coach who does that. In the interests of full disclosure, I had to look all that up.
  21. My guess is that the Texans don't want to tie themselves long-term to an aging Diggs. They have a lot of young players to pay in the upcoming years on both sides of the ball. To them, Diggs is a one-year luxury signing that costs them nothing but some cash and a draft pick that wasn't theirs to begin with. From Diggs' standpoint, after this year he'll head up I45 to Dallas to play for his boyhood team with his brother. Everyone got what they wanted except for the Bills.
  22. I'm going through the same things. It's never fun to have to admit that you were wrong, especially on the Internet where your previous strong opinions are public record. I was very adamant that Diggs was untradable due to the dead cap hit. I still think I was right about that. In a vacuum, that's a contract that you don't trade and the Bills will pay the price of a down year. But after that article, I don't think that Beane had any choice.
  23. The problem with Diggs is that he's not the kind of WR that is "always open" like a Jefferson or Chase. His elite skill is route running, which can be taken away by defenses. He's not running by DBs with elite speed or going up to get 50/50 balls.
  24. Or watching film...
