  1. I had it wrong. This is what he said. He knew the play by the formation
  2. I'm sure that the logistics of moving a family on really short notice is not an easy task. But you would have to think that he'll get out of town ASAP. I know that he'll be hate watching the Bills on Sunday.
  3. That was actually more about Gabe Davis only having two routes.
  4. He should have been fired as soon as Jabrill Peppers said this For those that can't watch, he said "That was a play that I recognized on tape, just had to play the proper technique and catch the ball."
  5. There are very few McDermott apologists on this board after 12 men. Those that remain are just afraid of the drought-era coaching carousel. In fact, every post on this board after Monday night's game reflects a fear of a return to futility.
  6. I lived in Bloomington, IN during the Payton Manning years and I didn't drop the Bills even when I had to watch the Colts celebrate a Super Bowl. I have lived in Cincinnati since 2007 and watched the Bengals go to the playoffs multiple times while the Bills endured an 18-year drought. I also watched as the whole city got Super Bowl fever in February 2022, but I watched that game without passion. I am a Bills fan for life so no I wouldn't switch places with a Texans fan. I wouldn't switch places with a Pats fan and their 6 rings. Would I switch rosters and cap situations with the Texans? That is another discussion. Your sudden irrational hatred of Josh Allen is way over the top, but I will say that it would have been nice for him to "get it" earlier so that the Bills could have had extra cracks at it while he was on his rookie deal.
  7. Not exactly. Jameis never let the INTs get him down. It was bombs away all the time.
  8. Bryan Cox is the assistant DL coach for the Giants.
  9. Hi Cole. Nice to see you. You been staying in shape?
  10. Josh Allen's dead cap is more than double his cap hit next year. And in any case, we have had no indication that Josh Allen has any problem with McDermott. We just assume that he's mad because we're mad.
  11. No, most people don't. We have one poster on here who wants to "clean house," meaning trading Miller, Allen, Diggs, and Knox this offseason. Their dead cap alone would total 183 million dollars.
  12. Or any mess. Those TV jobs are great gigs. Almost nobody leaves a TV job for a coaching job unless they offer you the whole bag like Mark Davis did to Gruden.
  13. He did. Just differently. Jordan Palmer talks about it here:
  14. I watched every one of those games, or at least the two Mahomes games and the Burrow game. I already admitted that I posted out of anger and regret creating this thread. But I don't want to delete it because there is a discussion here.
  15. Of course it's rare. Teams that are playing well don't fire coaches mid-season.
  16. In 2012, the Ravens fired Cam Cameron after week 14 and went on to win the Super Bowl that year.
  17. People who know a lot more about football than I do were saying that you could tell the Bills plays based on formation. They established tendencies and then never broke those tendencies. Orlovsky said that yesterday. Like what Peppers said about his pick. He knew the play based upon the formation and that if he even cheated towards the low guy on the high/low concept Josh would take the high guy and he could jump the route. He said that he knew he was getting a pick before the snap of the ball. Dorsey should have been let go just based on that.
  18. And Bengals fans want to run Taylor out of town on a rail. They complain about vanilla playcalling and being too reliant on Burrow and Chase to make plays. They complain about players never being schemed open. But they know that nothing will ever be done on that front because he made a Superbowl via a couple of lucky bounces in 2021 and Mike Brown kept Marvin Lewis for 15 years even though he never won a single playoff game. I'm saying that the Bills should keep McDermott (I think that he's lost the locker room and needs to go). I'm just pointing out that the grass is not always greener.
  19. I really wish that could go back and take about half of that away. Especially the "I don't think he cares" part. I don't really believe that. I posted angry in the wake of a lost season. He does need to stop throwing INTs, especially the ones that DBs bait him into.
  20. They don't and it's really bad if they do. I remember back when Mike Davis was the head coach at Indiana, he was known to read the message boards. He had a mental breakdown on national TV when Steve Alford got a standing ovation when he came to Bloomington with Iowa. It was all because he had read the thousands of posts calling for Alford to be coach at Indiana. But as @BobbyC81purposes notes above, I'm sure the team has staff that tracks these types of things to get general fan sentiment for marketing pruposes.
  21. I think that this is so hard on us for a number of reasons. First of all, most of us have been waiting for the other shoe to drop since the Bills got good in 2020. It felt too good to be true. and this feels like the end of something. And the Bills will probably have to have an even worse year next year just to get out of the cap situation that we're in so we're looking at 2025 before being able to compete again. We'll have our old trouble attracting players and coaches to Buffalo because we can hire and fire coaches but all that snow is going nowhere. But more than anything, this feels like a regression to the mean. The Bills struggling just feels like the natural order of things. Having a franchise QB suddenly not being able to stop throwing the ball to the other team feels like a repeat of the Trent Edwards situation x100 because Josh was soooo good and the crash has been so sudden. I don't know about other people, but this is uncharted territory for me as a fan. I have been angry about the Bills. I have been indifferent. But I have never been sad, and that's my primary emotion right now.
  22. He's toxic. If you want someone from the Reid coaching tree, the OC for the Giants would be a good hire.
  23. He only played 3 games in 2020 and 7 games in 2021. I guess those are McCaffrey's two worst seasons but it's because he barely played.
  24. You still can. Unless the Broncos are competing for the SB it was a stupid move, regardless of what happened Monday night. They didn't have to trade a boatload of picks for the right to offer him that stupid contract.
  25. Well, the Bills do lead the Jets 2-1 in players-only meetings. Do we win something?
