In the first quarter I saw several plays where a Bills player was in position to stop the RB at the LOS but failed to make the tackle, in the second quarter they owned us, straight up the middle overpowering everything in sight. Fewell made adjustments and overall we were able to contain them until they started running draw plays at the end of the 4th quarter. On the int from Losman, he had Evans 5 steps ahead on both the corner and the safety. Preston (I think) bumped him trying shield a defender and the ball died in the air. Garrard looked ok, had a great play (or horrid play by our D) that set up the Jones TD. Nothing special, though.

The pass protection was impressive, I thought Pennington was going to struggle against McCray today. Kudos to him and his teammates.

I'm glad we signed Cieslak, he looked good today both blocking and catching the football.

Cieslak is our Antonio Gates. Everett is a no show every week, Royal has very inconsistent hands. It would be nice to have a real weapon at the TE spot.

I think the read I make from Levy-Jauron is that they won't draft a QB early in the draft. They seem committed to Losman from what, we as fans, gather from the press. If Losman doesn't show any improvements this year or at the beginning of next year they'll see what they have in Nall and/or a QB taken in the later rounds.

I'd like to see what Aaron Merz can do there instead of Preston, or is Reyes ready to go this week?

No doubt the offense is bad, but I want to know who is the freaking genious that puts Royal against Freeney on a crucial 3rd down situation.

That little fellow has a dearth of moves to get to the QB or just get pressure. Peters will have to bring his A game today. I bet we get to see Royall giving him a hand in pass protection and if you thought we ran too much to the left side last week, today be prepared for another heavy dose running right up to Frenney.

31 - JP gets the whole year. I'm frustrated right now but hopeful he can become a more consistent player (along with the team) I understand that we don't have great talent in the Oline, but there at times the line plays well and JP still makes bad reads or misfires his targets. He started the year looking like a decisive QB and taking what was given to him. I now see the guy forcing things or being hesitant in the pocket. Don't really know what's causing this. If he keeps playing like he's been playing the last three or four games it will be difficult for us or the FO to keep investing time with him. If that is the case, next year you let him battle out in TC against Nall and a draftee (3rd or 4th round, maybe we get lucky)

Shelton had a solid game today.

Villy is on his last legs, IMO, last week he couldn't slide to prevent an easy sack and today, he was one on one and he was pushed back by one packer for a sack.

It's the rational thing to do, if you start overeacting (TD era) things go south fast. If it's not Losman it will be Nall or a draftee (late one IMO) If I'm Del Rio I'm not trading him either. It will be interesting so see how things develop in Jaxs-land.

If I were to trade for a QB already in the NFL, I'd trade for Garrard. He has proven he can win this league (with a great defense behind him I might add) But I don't think it will happen. It seems Jauron is determined to give Losman ample time to sink or swimm.

Bad match-up for Pennington against Romeo Crennel? I didn't watch the game, was that the case? The Jets were robbed? good, phuck 'em Packers at Bills, I see a closer game than you predict, hopefully we win this one.

Roethlisberger is not the same player he was after the accident. I think he lost his mojo or aura, if you like, after the crash. Hopefully he can get back to form because hating on him now is not fun. Losman will end the year as the starter, he'll start the next year as the starter, if he doesn't show improvements I can't say how much he'll last as the leader of this team, hence we won't be drafting any QBs with our 1st or 2nd round picks.

Can this move be motivated by a financial standpoint? I mean, Gandy, as bluv perfectly stated, is a dependable player but hardly elite. He'll look adequate most of the time with a stinker game now and then. If I'm not mistaken he's a FA next year. Peters has been paid early this year and would be vastly underpaid if he can translate all his talent and potential to the left side. This move makes sense on and off the field.
