McGee may get significant playing time vs Browns
Fixxxer replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you want to find out you can click the link next time....... "Terrence McGee has been battling a persistent nerve problem in his calf, but after a very encouraging week of practice he might not be eased in slowly like he was the last time he tried to return from the injury." -
I would like to point out that Namaan Roosevelt made a great stop on STs but not a great tackle. He dangerously led with his head instead of his shoulder. He needs to learn the proper technique for his own sake, hopefully the coaches were aware of that.

Peter King Writes Regarding Fitzpatrick
Fixxxer replied to Ghost of Rob Johnson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If King's praise means bad omen, Manning and Brady would be struggiling to make an UFL roster. -
To me he's the LT of the present and the future until you find yourself in a position to get that great LT prospect. If in next year draft you are in position to get the next Long or Thomas you go and get him and see where Bell can become productive if not, he's tremendous depth. Unfortunately there isn't one where we are projected to draft with our 1st round pick. Right now, with the projections as they are, a good OT prospect should be there in the 2nd round, if he's BPA get him and let him compete with both Bell and Wrotto. As Thoner7 said (agreeing with your premise, not your %s), solidifying one position, helping one OT with a TE or a RB becomes easier than trying to help two OTs.

How are we EVER supposed to compete
Fixxxer replied to BLZFAN4LIFE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I will try to find out about it with some fin fan in some general board. I know Sparano was the OL or ST coach in Dallas but it would be interesting to see if he was able to bring back some of the dallas scouts with him. -

question to the Parcells guys: When Parcells jumps from one team to another does he bring his entourage of cool scouts with him? Was the entire Miami scout department fired when they hired Parceslls? -
How are we EVER supposed to compete
Fixxxer replied to BLZFAN4LIFE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With the amount of picks they had over the years I would say that if they drafted well they would already have a dominant defense and that is hardly the case. Having said that their last draft seems to be a great one. The key to N.E. success is Bellichik, he has his players always giving 100% while playing fundamental football every single snap and he never gets complacent, ever. You hear him mic'ed up and he doesn't say anything special to his players, he expects his players carry on with their assigments. It is as simple as it is very hard to accomplish. http://www.nfl.com/videos/new-england-patriots/09000d5d81c62df7/Sound-FX-Bill-Belichick-miked Check out at the end before Manning last pick, it's as simple as that. -
What's amazing about Whitner is that he's awful young. He's not great by any means but he's a solid player and maybe he's still has that little room to get better. Excellent recap steampunk, other than Sanders being a great safety, not because he isn't but because he can't stay healthy.

I'm not complaining because it happened to us. The rule says it goes to the offense and the refs called it right. My post was about what I think the rule should be.

Replay of down, inconclusive posession. This should be the rule, the current one is unjust to the defender.

I knew we were screwed when Favre got knocked out

Tony Banks, Billy Volek. -
I guess he should say that he will try to take care of the ball next time, but next time came last week and he fumbled a punt return in OT and next time was today tried to go throught the trash without changing the ball to the outside arm. Be a playmaker but be smart enough not to hurt your team first.
-
Maybe is how they go about their business after a bad day at the office. You had Leodis showing no remorse when he fumbled in the opener last year, saying that he's a playmaker and that he would always try to make a play. (as is that is his only goal) Today, with the team down by 24 he gets an easy int where he only had to dive to it after a tiped pass and he does the x-factor sign with his arm. I have the sense that Leodis plays for Leodis first and foremost and as a team you can't trust those kind of players. That is why you test him by benching him, you keep coaching him up and see how he reacts.
-
I wouldn't cut him, for the next couple of games I keep him on the bench and play him only if there's an injury. He has to understand he's playing for the Buffalo Bills not for the Leodis Xfactors.

+1

He should be benched. I don't care who he is or when he was drafted. The guy is always hurting this team with his lack of focus and lack of awarenes of situational football. Give me the player that doesn't have great ability but knows what is going on around him.

You're something else buddy (pun intended) you're practically calling Nix stupid and a liar. From day one he's telling you and the fanbase that this is not a strange science, that common sense is needed to run a franchise, that communication between GM and Coach is paramount for goals to be achieved. That drafting well and further development of said draftees is key to a winning franchise, that the main focus sould not be FA solely as an instrument for getting better. Go watch a vid from BB.com and Gailey tells the fans that he is in constant communication with Buddy to make the roster better. Who should I believe? Gailey and the numerous moves this front office is making trying to "get the right combination" (Gailey's prhase) or BillsVet? a guy that even when he speculates about something he does it in a negative light towards the franchise he loves?
-
Even if they don't like Buffalo weather someone should coach this kid up about it.
-
Everytime I look at it, I say wtf and wonder how that happens in a game.
-
good memory, the Jets game we lost by a kick-off return in OT, the Minny game, Price was a beast and we won with a Hollis FG that barely crossed the bar (I think the ball actually touched the bar) and Travis Henry took a dump-off from Bledsoe to beat the Bears.
-
I think he gets it and he doesn't change to make a point. He's making a fool of himself because the entire league could change how they tackle and he'll become less richer in the process. If I'm Polamalu I tell him to change his ways because he's really hurting the team and could cost them a playoff game in the future, Tomlin could step up as well, but I think it's best if a peer tells him this.
-
Is either that o the guy is stupid. I think he plays trying to make a point, as if changing his way of playing is difficult, which is BS. He could have tackled Fitz by the waist and it would have been a great pla for them.

This Game Will Be A Great Opportunity
Fixxxer replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I remember back when we hired Gailey and he named D'Alesandris the OL coach, some poster was mad that we let go of Kugler and was raving about the Steelers being smart for hiring him. I was never impressed with the work he did with us.
