Don't waste your money and watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bo2dl2vlwis I believe I have the useless set of hands for everything manual but even I could do this. It's very easy, believe me. I got tired of getting the RROD and did some research and found this easy fix, you won't regret it. The console just overheat if it's on for a long period of time, it's just needs cleaning.

That is a very good draft. Regardless of what you feel about Bell, and I like him, Sherrod is a great pick, a potential fit at LT and a day 1 starter at RT. The line would be solidified with just the RG open for competition between Urbik, Hang, Howard or Rinehardt. Not bad. Not enamored with Miller, I get he is a clean prospect and was productive in College, but I don't see him as a great fit for a 3-4. He would be great for a fast 4-3 D like the Colts or the Falcons. I know he is at 240/250 but I still don't see him beastly enough to be convinced he's the one at #3. Quinn would be the ideal fit but it would be a huge gamble. Love the Harvey pick but I don't see Cameron Jordan lasting that long. He's too much of a great athlete to last to our 7th pick. The more we approach the draft the more I wish we could trade down even if it were only 2 spots with Arizona if Gabbert is available at #3, rumor has it that they love the guy (assuming we don't).

I agree, that is why I quit smoking, it feels good being a non smoker.

Damn, now I do, what a sad story. -
DJ Williams is a guy that is somewhat similar to Hernandez. Great in the passing game but not quite physical as a blocker.

I think White would be better suited playing alongside Poz. Poz needs someone to take on the extra OL so he can make a play on the ball. I wouldn't be opposed to draft another ILB instead of the Derek Newton selection, someone like Bynes would also serve that purpose as the SILB. I'm intrigued with Anthony Gray, I don't know much about him but I read on another board where Steelers fans could see some potential out of him to be their next Casey Hampton. So the draft summary would be: #3: Nick Fairley DE/DT #34: Brooks Reed DE/OLB #68: Colin Kapernick QB (or Chris Ponder) #99: Chris White ILB #121: Jalil Brown CB #130: Derek Newton ROT (I would go with Josh Bynes here ILB or Nate Irving ILB) #164: Anthony Gray NT #195: Ryan Bartholomew OC Sounds good.

+1 I voted Newton too and I don't even trust the guy. That is how much I like Gabbert.

No matter how one feels about Newton, it is good to read that Nix and Gailey are doing their due dilligence trying to find out about what kind of player and person this kid is. If it is ok with Gailey (meeting with Newton on Monday) I'm ok with Newton if they select him at #3.

With "partners" like these who needs enemies...... League continues to bask in its bad deal from 2006 Posted by Mike Florio on March 23, 2011, 2:22 PM EDT How badly does the NFL want the players to do what many of them think will be a bad deal? Badly enough to brag about the bad deal the NFL did in 2006. After embracing comments from men like Kevin Mawae and Kurt Warner regarding the value to the players of the contract negotiated in 2006, the NFL has now wrapped its arms around the heavily tatted torso of Dolphins lineman Richie Incognito. At NFLLabor.com (apparently, ProFootballPropaganda.com was taken), the league trumpets comments from Incognito regarding the recently-expired labor contract. “We kicked their butts in the last negotiation so we’re not going to settle,” Incognito said in quotes given to ESPN.com and copied at NFLLabor.com. “This is our livelihood and as players we’re united. We’re sticking together 100 percent.” http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/03/23/league-continues-to-bask-in-its-bad-deal-from-2006/ From the comments section: "There was a clause put in the 06 agreement stating if the agreement wasn’t working out for either side, then they can opt out. So the owners are opting out. They put that clause in there for a reason. That’s like you make an agreement with your boss to get paid a certain commission, your not too sure it’s the right thing to do so ur boss says, we will do it for a few years and if its not working for you, you can opt out and we will do a new agreement. Then you opt out and now you are a slave driver? the players are just being greedy at this point. they deserve to be paid well but i think they are getting greedy" -

Anyone think the NFLPA messed up?

No doubt, any judge in charge will tell both parties to bugger off (with a are you kidding me face) and sort things out, you have a good thing going. -

I'm not worried if they have to but I would not like to see Judge Doty or any other judge for that matter, showing the numbers with nametags to the NFLPA or the players. The numbers should be used to make a ruling, not to give them to the players for future reference. -

Honest question here, I've been listening to the players talking about decertifying the union since at least last off-season, when did the owners made the "fraudulent" deal with the TV networks? Was it before or after the rumors of decertification? Another thing to ponder, the owners opted out of the last CBA citing that they are not making a good enough profit to sustain a viable business. I keep hearing about the owners being dishonest and untrustworthy. If they were such evil men why are they opting out of a CBA that gave them carte blanche to institute an 18 game season without the players approval? “[W]e offered to take the 18-game season off the table for now, and that it would be something we would re-visit in two years, and then it would have to be agreed to by both sides,” Rooney said. “That 18-game season seemed to be one of the biggest issues, as far as we knew, that the players were concerned about. So taking that off the table, we felt, was a major move on our part. But it really got zero reaction. Again, they seemed to not really want to continue negotiations, and rather to get into their litigation strategy. . . . nder the current agreement, the one that just expired, we had the right to change the season without the players’ approval. This we felt was a major concession, a major step toward their side in terms of trying to address something that they had expressed a lot of concern about. Again, for them to not even really respond to that was very disappointing.” http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/03/13/art-rooney-assails-unions-tactic-expects-initial-hearing-this-week/ My opinion gravitates towards the intelectuall owners of the businees called the NFL. I know the players are a big part of the business, that is why they were included in the revenue machinery but that inclusion should always be within a reasonable limit. This one is a rethoric question, did the NFL died when Brady injured his knee in 2008? -
If Troup fails it won't be for lack of effort. But because he wasn't dominant as a rookie he will be an awful player moving forward. So you're saying the players were posturing all along about safety, retired players funds and less off-season group work? Gotcha. -
Having great mechanics and great throwing arm are not representative of being a good QB. Was the Auburn offense representative of Newton limits as a QB? Can he handle more responsabilities as a signal caller? If the answer is yes, why didn't they ask more from him, and if the answer is no, do you want that guy as the leader of your team?
-
Improvisation: reacting and doing things when things don't go as planned I want Newton running/improvising when he can't make plays with his head and arm first. I want Newton improvising after going through his progression and nothing is there. If he does one read and takes off, he will be eaten alive, DCs will notice and won't be doing much damage with his legs. If you plan him to run, you won't have a lasting QB, you will have a banged up RB that can throw. I just would like to know if he can be a functional NFL passer, if he is then his game will be really dangerous but if Nix and Gailey don't see that in him I don't want them to draft him out of fear of what could be. They should act with conviction.
-
Is that what you really took from my post? Of course a rookie will need to be coached up, but if the guy doesn't have a certain feel for the position, he can work with the coaching staff 24/7 and still fail. I was just trying to point out that many people like Newton because he's an amazing athlete but not many here can claim that he can play with the instincts and anticipation required for the position. I think it is very hard to project Newton's passing ability to the pros, he threw to a lot open and stationatry recevier at Auburn. The data to really study his game is incomplete and by drafting him you're making a huge leap of faith he can be an effective passer in the NFL. In a league that features the pass more and more, we're debating about bringing a guy with only 280 passing attempts against tough competition.

Or maybe he's not buying the athlete or the arm strenght hype. It was great listening to Billick at the combine talking about QBs. He mentioned Boller as being one of the reason he is now a reporter and not a coach anymore. When he was the Baltimore HC they needed a QB and they had this physicall specimen in Boller, he could run, had amazing arm strenght but he wasn't very accute in terms of football knowledge. He said his arrogance lead him to believe he could make a QB out of him. He said that Boller and him put the time and effort to make Boller better but in the end the shortcomings were too much and no amount of arm strenght was going to solve the problem. Billick's candor and humility were great to hear, specially when you thought the guy was not capable of being that auto-critic. It seems being out of the HC job humbled the guy. In terms of QBs you can't allow yourself to get blinded by hype, arm strenght (worry only if it is sufficient) or how fast a guy can run, the main reason QBs fail is because the guys that drafted them thought they could coach those guys up.

Some people age differently, I guess. Who knows? All I know is Stroud was not being effective for us, for the hybrid defense that he will also play in NE. We will see how this plays out, I wish him all the luck in the world (except against us), he is a classy guy

Very interesting Astro, thanks for the links.

Marcus Stroud: A big name, but is there anything left? February 16th, 2011 | Author: Sam Monson Hot Start 2008 was Stroud’s first season as a Bill, and by far his most successful. His season featured two of the best graded games we have ever given to a defensive tackle. Opening the season at home to Seattle he recorded a pair of sacks and added another six pressures. Then in Week 11, when the Bills hosted the Browns he was able to knock down the passer twice and add five more pressures. These games were as dominant as anything we had seen from an interior lineman (until his former Bill teammate Kyle Williams redefined dominance against the Steelers in 2010). He finished the season inside the top 10 of our DT rankings that year with a +17.1 PFF grade on the season, but Stroud scored a +19.2 grade from those two monster games alone. For the 14 other games Stroud actually graded out below average. The signs were there for the Bills that sinking money into Stroud might not have been the best plan. Especially since in the same year, much less heralded defensive tackle Kyle Williams finished with a +26.5 PFF grade and since gone on to become one of the leagues’ standouts at the position. Never justifying the money After the Bills extended Stroud’s contract, he has never looked likely to justify the salary. 2009 saw his play drive over a cliff. From being ranked in the top 10 the previous season, albeit on the back of a pair of huge games, Stroud found himself rooted near the bottom of our DT rankings in ’09. Stroud’s -17.7 PFF grade for the season was bad enough to rank him 83rd amongst DTs, just two spots better off than Ryan Sims, a name synonymous with defensive tackle bust....... Worth a look? As with all big names that get released, the first question thousands of fans ask is “Is he worth bringing in”? In the case of Marcus Stroud, you can probably get your answer from looking at who released him. Buffalo had the worst run defense in the NFL in 2010, and they decided that they were better off without him. Stroud is now 32 years old, and like so many NFL players, his career has taken a steep nosedive in flight-path after his 30th birthday. more............. http://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2011/02/16/marcus-stroud-a-big-name-but-is-there-anything-left/
