  1. He has sure hands and defenses have to respect his speed, that is why he was so open on those curls or comeback routes. He is a dangerous player. BTW, I'm still waiting for Spiller to run that end around and scoring a long TD. Spiller would line up wide to the right on a 3WR set, he would motion back inside and while Fitz hands the ball to Freddy he fakes the end around. We ran it twice and on both plays the defense keyed strictly on Freddy. I was hoping Chan could run the play one more time giving the ball to Spiller, I'm sure he would have scored.
  2. It's curious that out of the same situation you felt we're in panick mode and I felt the exact same opposite, we're driving and Gailey & Fitz were just attacking the Giants' weaknesses, the secondary. Did you feel we were panicking after the PA pass to Nelson for a 32 yard gain on that same drive?
  3. One is a doofus and the other is a douchebag, you do the math.
  4. good call, bad execution.
  5. I didn't say he's perfect, not even close, but last week and the weeks before this one, he was our most consistent CB. I was just pointing out that sometimes you have great days at work and sometimes you have days like today.
  6. Last week he secured the game for us (with Barnett's help) today he was awful. It happens a lot in this business, or so it seems.
  7. Anyone noticed how great Gailey pulled the strings after we were stuffed on 3rd and 1? After they stopped us, the play clock read 1:33. Gailey kept the offense on the field and that stopped Coughlin from using a TO. By doing this, Gailey milked the clock, took the FG and left only 33 seconds for Eli to try for a FG. Obviously, I think he would have gone for it had he not deffered the coint toss. When the play ended: 3-1-NYG 31 (1:33) 22-F.Jackson right guard to NYG 31 for no gain (90-J.Pierre-Paul, 72-O.Umenyiora). When Eli took the ball 1-10-NYG 21 (:34) (Shotgun) 44-A.Bradshaw left tackle to NYG 30 for 9 yards (50-N.Barnett, 91-Sp.Johnson). Though it may not be natural to ask Carrington to cover a TE he was not responsible for Manningham, who was the only wide out on the play. FWIW he covered the TE well enough for Eli to look elsehwere. Chan "Balls of steel" Gailey, I will never feel dissapionted with a coach that goes for win. Unless he starts going crazy and going for it on 4th down on our territory I'm ok with him trusting his players. damn right.
  8. Yeah, that was smart football............. That is playing not to win and I'm happy Gailey isn't like that. Jauronesque move by the Dallas HC.
  9. +1 I hate this reactive threads, lazy thought process without an ounce of objectivity.
  10. I hate the Cheatriots more, go Romo!
  11. Maybe they are being taught this technique but sometimes the player doesn't have the presence of mind to execute the play. Given Catavolos' longevitiy as a coach I would give him the benefit of the doubt.
  12. Bill Cowher recommended Chan Gailey to Nix and everytime he talks about the Bills in that CBS pre-game show he talks the Bills up. Even Marino speaks highly of the Bills (must be some reverse jinx he's trying)
  13. The guy is huge, he looks like an extra OL. I will focus on him when I re-watch the game.
  14. And I believe more parity too.
  15. TO is a chemistry killer. He's a cancer and we don't need himt.
  16. You have to start somewhere, we have the best of both worlds, winning while still learning the kinks of the defense.
  17. It happens every game, the other team makes plays too, doesn't mean you're being exposed or dominated as Captain implied in his initial post. I never felt that was the case in this game or the year for that matter. The OL won and lost some battles up front, but for the most part Fitz had time to throw and Fredie averaged 3.9 YPC, sometimes, as you said, the right defensive call makes you think you failed at some aspect of the game. Perception is everything sometimes. I feel the players were deflated in this game after an emotional win last week. Fitz was off today and at times, he seemed to force the ball to Jones a little too much. On days like this, where the offense is struggling, his go to guy should be Stevie, who had a quiet game.
  18. Evem Spiller was able to convert on 3rd and 1. The OL had a good game, not spectacular but it did a fine job. Fitz was off target today and the offense couldn't find its rythm.
  19. Yes, he is this bad. In his third year he can't overcome a banged up OL. He needs Pro-bowlers up front and a great running gamge to be effective.
  20. Jets at Baltimore, watching right now Maybin sucks at changing directions, his speed is only linear Sanchez, you should know where Ed Reed is on every snap
  21. I love to know that the team will get the ball at the start of the 3rd QTR. If you're behind, it's the drive you need to keep it close, if you're ahead, a good drive can kill the opposition. Always defer.
  22. Fitz on the Dan Patrick show a few days back, good interview, IMO: http://www.danpatrick.com/2011/09/26/ryan-fitzpatrick-said-bills-knew-they-could-come-from-behind-against-patriots/
