I think they like Bell and they will try to secure his services. If what you say is true why even play the guy when they have, in your opinion, the next year starting LT in Hairston? I'm very dissapointed with how this year has developed but I won't credit past mistakes or MOs to this front office.

The league should send the video of him tackling Davone Bess to James Harrison, that was textbook tackle and as hard as a hit can be. Williams had a great game and was burned only by great throws. Nice forced fumble too.

I think next year line will feature Bell at LT and Hairston at RT. If Wood is back I like the prospect of the line. Obviously if there isn't a QB worth taking and there is a can't miss LT prospect take him.

I disagree with you on Bell. I only noticed the LT position when Hairston was in and it was because he was getting beat. Pears on the other hand struggled all game long.

I agree, our best game of this pathetic losing streak was against the Jets when Fitz operated moslty from under center. I would like for Fitz to stand up and tell Gailey where he's more comfortable, this all out shotgun mode needs to change.

I wish they draft a QB so that Chan is forced to protect him by going heavy in the run game.

FWIW, Chan said something to Steve after he scored against both the Patriots (minute men stunt) and Jets (plax gun). What was said on those instances? I don't know, but I'm sure Chan was not congratulating him. Steve just need to grow up some more.

You make a very valid point. The thing is this system is for Fitz to spread the ball around to the guy that, pre-snap, will see softer coverage. I wish Fitz and Steve could be a little more selfish and keep connecting until we end up this losing streak. It just takes only one win.

I believe this to be true also. When Gailey took over this team, every player was telling him how they wanted to be good, how they despised being the losers. They wanted respect. Gailey has a rough first year and commends his players as being built the right way, high character, all the while preaching that he expects to win every game. The 2nd year starts and this is a new team, the leaders of the team stepped up and want to be good, this is what Gailey expected from them. The trust Nix and Gailey put on Fitz to be the guy, pays off, this is finally a good team, win or lose. As Gailey said many times, there needs to be consistency to be a good team, you need to work harder at your craft if you want to mantain "the good team" status. Now the leaders they chose are not responding because the going got tougher. He says he's calling the same plays that worked more than well for two months. By saying that, he's challenging his leaders to step up and be the confident guys they were early in the year, regardless of injuries (Chan never used injuries as an excuse) I believe Chan will give Nix the green light to select a rookie QB early in next year draft. He also needs to be honest about his DC selection. If he doesn't want this to be his last HC job in the NFL he will have to make some tough decisions when the season is over.

I loved how Levitre destroyed the DB that picked off Thigpen. He looked pissed off on that play. They OL gets no love but sans the Dallas game they were a good OL all year. I like Wood and I hope he can come back healthy from another injury but he gets too much credit sometimes. He's a good player but you would think the OL has become a disaster since his injury and they're not. I like Fitz but he needs to realize that he's the man and that he needs to take command of the team. He needs to rally the troops, he was handpicked by his HC and since he got paid he can't hang his head fast enough when things go wrong in a game. It's not acceptable behavior for a leader and QB. Yes, Edwards' gameplan doesn't help the offense very much, yes Chan can be predictable but when that happens Fitz should talk with his HC about it, call some audibles at the line, take command of the offense and the team. Dareus had a monster game, the kid will be a star. Rogers showed some good instincts and had a beautiful pass break-up. I wish Chan could do himself and his career as HC a favor and get rid of Edwards. Yes the defense played better down the line but a defense can't surrender 3 scores in the first 3 drives of the game.
