Manuel looked ok, but 100 yards on 20 attempts is pretty awful. Those passes that went for more than 10 yards were mostly the result of yards after the catch. That's no way to run an offense. So far, so good, but we're not very far at all.

Jarvis Jones is going to be a MAN, and in 3 years we'll all be laughing, "remember when we picked EJ Manuel and could had Jarvis, at a position of need? Ohhhh, Buffalo Bills, you irascible scamps!"

NCAA should not be the minor leagues. That's where the problem is. These guys have no itnerest in an education. There should be a Juniors football league where guys are paid, same with basketball. Then the NCAA should be for actual student athlets. We need Mark Cuban to start a Minor League Football Association, and a Minor League Basketball Association with his billions. Watch the talent flee the NCAA when they can get paid without having to pretend to go to school.

The difference that you're failing to understand is that there are a lot of people who don't follow college football because they don't have a team. Alot of them didn't go to college. I'm more likely to root for UB than Syracuse, because UB is a public school, my money supports it, and I'm therefore a part of it. Syracuse is private. I don't care that I live much closer to Syracuse than Buffalo. Renaming it NYSU would make it clear that this is EVERYONE's school. Frankly, I think its kind of sad when adults root for private universities to which they have absolutely no affiliation or relationship. Yes, that includes ND and Duke for all you subway alums. Its why you get celebrities who dropped out of high school showing up at university sporting events. Because texans root for UT football, Kentuckians root for UK basketball, and New Yorkers should root for New York whatever. Obviously it takes time to build a following, but its certainly worth exploring. It would raise the profile. And there are plenty of Flagship Universities located far away from their states primary population centers.

Albany Law School is a branch of Union College, it is private, and not affiliated with the SUNY system in anyway. Also, describing it as a "good one" strains credulity. It's a 3rd or even 4th tier school

The general rule of thumb is that "University of ______" is the primary university, with best academics and resources, while the ________ State is secondary. Because you will get statewide fans to the sports teams and applicants to the University if the branding is successful.

Hixon and Massoqui are real NFL WRs, which is more than we can say for the rest of our WR depth after Stevie. Either of them would be more than welcome additions and could effectively play complimentary roles on this team.
