When a team goes 0-16 you take the future hall of famer at the top of the board who will fit any of the 15 holes you have in your starting lineup. If that's QB, great. If it's a DE, LB or OT that's great too. Unless one of the QBs shows he is the best in his class, maybe its not the year for a franchise QB. Drafting poorly got us into this mess. Chances are good we'll be picking in the Top 5 next year as well. If it looks like there's a better QB class next year, I have no problems waiting.

if the existing crop of QBs doesn't show me more, I don't have a problem with it...stupid to draft a guy who doesnt' have what it takes to be an NFL starter just because he's the best available QB and we really really horribly need one.

I don't think anyone is playing the old bear 46 in the NFL anymore...its way to easy to pass on since it requires a five man front and basically presumes that your CBs are good enough to play one on one.

A lot of good teams do use this set as well. Pretty much every team uses every set, just like every team uses every defensive package. It's to force teams to prepare for it and hope you catch someone off guard or a player snoozing on his responsibilities.

They're not beating themselves, they're ****ty at football. Turnovers haven't been horrible the last couple weeks. They just suck.

They were 2-14 last year, still one of the worst records in footabll, and could easily repeat that performance this year... The point is, that just because we bottom out doesn't mean we're going to get better...we need players who can play, not a collection of losses

Disagree, Detroit is bottoming out, in that they are still losing games, and might be 1-15, or 2-14 right there with us, but at least they're playing games that are compettiive, and seem to have some players that are in a position to grow and improve. We show no signs of being anywhere close to improving. We could have four or fewer wins through 2012 and I wouldn't be surprised.

We have crippling holes in probably 15 of the 22 positions on the field. Take whatever player will have the biggest impact and fill one of those holes. I don't give a **** if its a DE, DT, LB, QB, or OT. I don't think Luck or Locker are head and shoulders the best players available.
