I've just read about 35 pages of the report including much of executive summary and conclusions/recommendations at end of report. Horowitz comes off as an auditor which he is. He's looking at procedures so his conclusions are mostly about sloppy work and how to clean that up with you know, training.

The Impeachment Trial of President Donald J. Trump
keepthefaith replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Why should he? If this gets to a trial in the Senate, that's when both sides will call people who are actual witnesses. -
The Impeachment Trial of President Donald J. Trump

Wouldn't it be simpler and more direct if the President's lawyer's simply sent a very short letter that says: "***** Off"? -
How about MVP Lamar Jackson today?

Lamar and Josh are both very young QB's so it's reasonable to think that both will continue to improve their games. -

Well, as much as I enjoy uncovering dirt on Clinton and others, I'm not sure this is fair criticism. We've been selling arms and training Saudi military and helping Saudis build bases in their country for a number of years and Trump has continued to approve the arms sales. Bush and Obama did same. In part it's a counter to growing Iran military capability in the region. Certainly a tragedy the shooting in Florida and I think we have to have a strong response to S.A. maybe to discontinue training here. We do train their pilots in Saudi. Maybe train only there. Certainly fair to question the CF contribution. -
He's lucky to keep that $9/hr job. At $15/hr he gets replaced by a card reader.

The Impeachment Trial of President Donald J. Trump

The matter was put on hold because, you know, someone is running for office. -

Well sure there is and if Mueller hadn't taken so ***** long they could have done this a long time ago. Now they need to move this into the Senate before RBG waves goodbye. -

All industries have a culture and within the political industry, parties have a culture. The viewing of everything through the prism of race is baked into the political left. It is SOP. -
Let's have the trial. It'll be quite different from the dem sham proceedings. It'll be fact based like a real trial without a bunch of hearsay and feelings. Here it is for the left... Feelings, nothing more than feelings Trying to forget my feelings of love Teardrops rolling down on my face Trying to forget my feelings of love Feelings, for all my life I'll feel it I wish I've never met you, girl (Hillary) You'll never come again Feelings, wo oh oh feelings

Totally appropriate given Biden's actions.

I'm trying to understand the dems choice to impeach. They have to know that once this reaches the senate, witness testimony will be much different and their chances of winning are about zero since the jury of senators will vote in a partisan fashion and the case itself will be historically weak. So what's their calculus? That being able to say the President was impeached and that Republicans obstructed a just outcome and having it amplified by media will be a politically winning strategy? I suppose that's better than having to oppose an incumbent with a weak candidate and a good economy, but they will certainly rile up opposition voters like never before.

Not a Trump voter here, not in 2016. One big flaw (there are several) in the dems impeachment proceedings is their stance of Biden being characterized as a political opponent. That completely disregards the fact that Biden's actions in Ukraine and the desire to investigate him, his son, Burisma, missing aid money and Ukraine support for Hillary by Ukranian government officials substantially pre-dates him becoming a candidate for President. Why should Biden be given a pass just because he is in a political campaign? -
In Illinois, 1 person in the smallest elected state district, MIke Madigan, controls the entire State legislative agenda and he has for decades. He's a despicable person and doesn't even attempt to hide his dirty and highly partisan ways and his thirst for power. Nancy Pelosi is the same for the Country. The House is run by San Francisco where the worst of political views thrive. She's a rotten American. What I wish for her I cannot write.

Luckily we'll get to hear directly from Barr and Durham on this without the filter of any media.
