Nobody here thinks Trump was suggesting or even hinting that someone shoot Hillary, right?
-
A real shame, much too young.

Voters gave us Hillary and the Donald. The media pulls the strings of much of the electorate.

You see Mateen's son was mentally ill and never should have been permitted to buy guns. He's also a victim.

I consider honesty and integrity part of temperment. It's all part of character. I find it hard to understand how anyone that has an issue with Trump's character can support Hillary. Neither of them have great character but Hillary IMO has lapped Trump in crappy character race IMO.

Affordable Care Act - is it making people healthier?
keepthefaith replied to Juror#8's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I think it's irrelevant as to whether or not it (The ACA) has resulted in healthier people. What might be relevant is that going to the doctor regularly for either checkups or to address an issue may improve someone's health. Mostly, however, we the people are responsible in maintaining our health through our own choices and decisions. We use doctors mostly to solve problems not prevent problems. We the people need to be better educated and more motivated in maintaining our health and I do think that the medical profession should play a larger role in prevention than it does currently. As for how we pay for medical care (which is what the ACA is mostly about), I don't favor anything that causes most people to pay more while telling the people that pay more what is and what is not an acceptable level of coverage. I don't favor anything that tells employers that they must provide coverage to employees and mandates what coverage can be chosen. I don't favor anything that tells another group that they must buy health insurance and mandates a minimum level of coverage. I don't favor anything that restricts where one can buy insurance. I don't favor anything that taxes a plan is is deemed "too good" that someone may want to buy. I do favor something that better educates people about maintaining their health, promotes personal responsibility for the individual to better maintain their own health, allows each to choose their own insurance coverage and pay for it themselves to the greatest extent possible. For those that can't afford health insurance, I'd support temporary government assistance and a plan which allows some others to buy into medicaid based on an income scale. -
Know anyone with a disease? Read this

I like Hemp granola. It doesn't have any of the "drug" in it, but it tastes good. Throw in some flaxseed and you've got something healthy. My pot smoking days are in the rear view mirror and anyone that thinks that inhaling the smoke of burning leaves into one's lungs on a regular basis won't cause serious issues down the road is crazy. Legalizing this will cause health insurance cost to rise, police and legal cost to rise, driving while stoned deaths and a rise in idiots. We really have more than enough idiots already. -
There are literally millions of people in our country that could probably be a better President than all that are running.

She'll be the star in the sequel to Weekend at Bernie's.

I've been saying for a couple years that she can't get up a flight of stairs. My Mom who has several years on Hillary could run circles around her. Look at her reaction time and her fetal pose in this one. She's helpless. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMz9bEyHdzo

Yea, that's a bad idea and in many business sectors such as property management there are laws against discriminatory actions.

No the GOP doesn't have a vacancy ideas. It's just that addressing the big problems that we have (debt, entitlements, illegal immigration, national security and encouraging a growth economy) doesn't sell as well as free stuff paid by the rich, racism, sexism and man made climate change doom to low information voters. We're a terrible population at understanding government vs individual responsibilities and the GOP does a terrible job of presenting to and educating our population. The latter being a really steep climb considering the level of media bias, bias in education and selfishness/envy among so many groups of people.

The media would treat any Republican candidate the same way. In Trump's case he is simply an easier target than most and doesn't defend himself well.
-
....and it's just beginning. He will get pummeled like none before him. I seriously think his best move right now is to withdraw.

Obama's Foreign Policy

So when are we paying Iran the $1.3b in interest we owe them? -
It's hard to find any story on CNN.com that is drowned out by all the Trump sucks stories.

Where is the press???????
keepthefaith replied to 4merper4mer's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Many will discount this since Bozell is a righty but he often publishes information regarding media bias and will usually back it up with numbers. http://www.mrc.org/ The most recent example of total BIAS to me is the story of the Russians hacking the DNC which the left attempts to link Trump. What's amazing about this story is how quickly the news changed from the content of the hack to the Russian "excuse". Literally every network but Fox was running with that story based on about zero evidence. There is no question given the speed at which the story moved that this is a coordinated effort of damage control for the Democrats. The Media is absolutely conspiring to do this. -
Except that he needed investor money to launch and maintain the company in the early years and yeah taxpayer money didn't hurt. High tech manufacturing is good and certainly the future but even lower tech manufacturing is good for jobs. Not everyone is a line worker in older style manufacturing. The economic impact of building plants, hiring higher level management along with lesser skilled labor is huge compared to sourcing goods made off-shore or south of the border. We'll never get back much of the large-scale manufacturing we've lost but IMO we've got to find ways to make more products here and competitively so.

Yes and I'm tired of new spending ideas without dealing with the deficits we already have and the train wreck of entitlements that is coming. If a President and house actually right-sized and re-prioritized government spending, it wouldn't be that hard a sell to spend a few bucks on infrastructure.

Trump is far more likely to take advice from and listen to the people around him IMO. He's a salesman, easy to sell him. His guiding principles while not what most are looking for are certainly better than hers. He's actually had to run his businesses according to law. Hillary's not subject to the law and has behaved as such. While I don't like either major party candidate, to me he is far more likely to do the right thing and steer the country in the right direction. He's at least pointed somewhat in the right direction. Hillary is 180 degrees from what we need and willing to run over anyone in the way regardless of the law or the truth and won't lose a minute of sleep in the process.

Obama is probably very conflicted on the Zika funding. Killing mosquitoes will get the PETA people fired up. Pesticide bad for the environment and the funding probably doesn't help minorities and illegal immigrants enough. That and any problem that is solved means once less thing with which to attack Republicans.

Actually wikileaks has said that they have evidence of Hillary's campaign working to rig the election (not the primary) and will publish it soon.

Refugee Crisis in the U. S. (?)

It says they can live here for 18 months without fear of being ousted. Really? Does anyone anywhere think this federal government would ask them to leave?
