  1. Inflation has been very low in recent years. Companies that are in a position to raise prices do. Sometimes passing on increased costs. Sometimes as a tool to grow their business. Competition tempers it some.
  2. Well, it'll be fun to listen to the Bernie crowd for 4 years after Hill is elected. She'll drop his agenda the Wednesday after election day and only bring it up as a way to complain about Republicans.
  3. Actually I think the Obama admin has been very transparent. It's not hard at all to see through their words, actions and inactions to find the truth. Only believing what they say or do conceals anything.
  4. He's just being efficient. Why have a separate press conference or speech on a political matter when you can roll it all into one. Leaves more time for golf and he's not really interest in solving the problem. He just wants to B word about it and make it available to his party at election time.
  5. It's the ultimate vote buying platform. Tax and make the rich pay for most of it, give it away "free" and bury any politician or party that dares to suggest that we need to return to an open market paid by each individual. Hillary is waiting in the wings. Oh and you have to love the phrase "government sponsored" that the writer uses in the article.
  6. We aren't flying the masses on jets powered by anything but fossil or similar fuels anytime soon, so a new fuel that produces less emissions should be seen as a positive.
  7. Well this is mostly due to Americans being a very high majority of really suck a$$ drivers, but I get your point.
  8. Yes but not immediately. It'll be a slow burn over the next several years of liberal rule.
  9. We owe illegal immigrants nothing, absolutely nothing and it's obvious that the rightful and lawful thing to do is to stop so many from entering illegally. We're 3 decades and counting late on that one.
  10. :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:
  11. I assume that the FBI and Justice department will be on the ground in Dallas today to investigate this as a hate crime and civil rights violation?
  12. We learned a long long time ago that his words serve only a twisted political agenda.
  13. Our President will be denouncing this violence any minute, right?
  14. Yes but the raw numbers don't account for situations or opportunities. Could it be that black males are rightfully engaged by police far more often? Crime rates would strongly suggest yes.
  15. He can speak for 7 minutes on a topic but expect a lot of repetition.
  16. There should be no question that this investigation from its outset was done in a way to clear her of any criminal responsibility. It was a sham from the beginning and I think most have felt that way for many months. More than one TV news outlet has read the statute on air regarding gross negligence and classified material and it's absolutely clear that she is at least guilty of that. That statute does not require criminal intent. This is all about winning politically for Obama and his party which is very clearly how he approaches virtually everything he touches. Look at the bag of **** he is leaving for his successor. Now the electorate can speak and in electing her will prove that our citizens are as guilty of being dumbasses as politicians. Party trumps all else for the majority of voters. Integrity is way down the priority list. Hillary is an absolutely despicable character who displays all of the worst characteristics we don't like in politicians, yet having the big D next to her name and running on agenda which completely misses the big issues we face and instead buys votes with untruths and other people's money is a winning strategy even for a hag like her.
  17. We can't see the right hand in the Sterling video. If the gun is in that right pocket and he's fishing for it, he's writing the police an invitation to draw and use their guns. It sucks that these situations sometimes end this way but in about every case you see a series of events or actions that cause escalation. If I ever find myself in a situation where a police officer tells me to get on the ground or raise my hands or anything similar, I'm doing just that.
  18. Because Comey is a smart guy and played every step to support the outcome he recommended.
  19. Yes but he didn't provide safe haven for those that did harm to us otherwise that would have been our reason for going into Iraq. Trump's point was a good one but made poorly which is often the case.
  20. Yes, the younger people are hosed and for the most part don't know it. It's the boomer generation of pols and voters that have for the most part left a stinking steaming pile of **** for the next generations but again the younger crowd mostly don't have a clue. They should be royally pissed at my generation.
  21. That doesn't address some of the beefs the same sex marriage crowd has such as spousal SS benefits which is a big one for that group. On that basis I think it should be addressed federally. I agree though that states' rights are very important and have unfortunately been eroded over time. I still believe that if you put 100 people of mixed politics, age and race in a room and factually present the big issues we face as a nation the vast majority of those people once informed will find themselves more agreeable to what many consider conservative positions on those issues. Most people can't very well explain their stance on the economy, debt, entitlements, immigration and national security. Both political parties deliberately don't educate voters well on issues which benefits liberal polititions more IMO. I felt Trump should have had only a short initial response yesterday and then should respond in a larger and more prepared way in a few days. His first seat of the pants fire-ready-aim responses don't usually serve him or his party well.
  22. Trump has a golden opportunity running against Hillary but he just can't articulate his own positions or her weaknesses very well. I'm really surprised he has communicated so poorly over so many months. He was never a top choice for me but I did expect better campaigning from him. Leaving it to the states is not a winning play but yes that's what they are doing.
  23. Republican candidates need to: embrace same sex marriage learn how to express the virtues and sound values taught by religion without making people feel they are imposing their religion on them better support a clean environment and recognize the benefits of that but continue to draw factual distinction from the fringe climate change crowd abortion, tough to solve that one
  24. That's a beauty, short and to the point. So what happened today was Comey laid out the case with a number of facts but he simply wasn't permitted to make any recommendation other than the one he made.
