I am not a big hockey fan but I am a Flyers fan and I can say they were not going to be outbid for Briere that year. Looking back it was probably the right move for Sabres not to resign him as the Flyers like most teams that sign free agents to these big deals grew to regret it as he was injured a lot and eventually cut him.

There was a period of about ten years where any member of this board could have drafted better then the Bills did

So with the talk from Whaley of the elite players in this draft you see them taking the 4th rated OT in the draft with the 9th overall pick Yeah that makes perfect sense

Why when LB isn't a need and the team could use help at other more glaring areas At least they didn't take Manuel at 8

I just don't see how Donald is even a possibility for the Bills at 9. He doesn't fill a need so he wouldn't start right away which is what you expect from a top ten pick and 9 is also too high for him. Mathews is my first choice and Ebron is my second if they stay at 9.

My guess is they will draft a DE fairly early to go with a combination of Lawson and Hughes I don't think Anthony Barr is an every down DE Branch should and I think will be playing more DT this year which is his more natural position.

I was surprised they didn't follow up Jim's surgery with Chemo and/or radiation as a lot of Dr's will as a precaution just to be sure they got it all.

What does the fact that he refuses to do more than 1 mock draft have to do with anything? Mock drafts are what they are and a lot of fans like to read them inclduing me, never understood why people get so worked up about them and say they dont mean anything. Does that really need to be said? I still like Kiper who does Mock drafts bc thats what most fans want to see and gets the most debate but that certainly isnt what he prides himself on. Like him or dont he has been grading players for a very long time and IMO is pretty good at it. Im not a Mayock fan but a lot of Bills fans are mainly bc he was the only one to get the Whitner pick right. I still dont know what qualifies him to be a so called draft expert though. He is a color analyst and former player who suddenly became a draft guru when NFL Network needed one. Is he still stealing from Ourlads?

i dont think it means they will use another first round pick on a WR especially with the holes they have on that team
