I keep reading and hearing how deep this draft is especially at WR so I would rather address a different position at 9 then get a WR in the second or third round. I also have concerns with any WR that is 6'5" as history is not on their side

The compensatory picks are based on the previous offseason so losing Byrd won't come into play until next year. I wouldn't expect them to receive any next year either considering they have signed more then the lost and the total money is about even Are ppl really upset that the Pats got a 4th round pick?

is your issue with the suggestion of trading him in general or that the expectation of trading him and only getting a 6th or 7th round pick back? I personally dont think Stevie even has any trade value

The Raiders are the obvious choice to me mainly due to the awful stadium in Oakland...seriously, sharing a stadium with a baseball team and dealing with the infield is ridiculous The Rams should not go anywhere the Chargers stadium is also bad but at least they dont share it

the better question is if EJ was in this draft where would he most likely be drafted? it wouldnt be top ten and considering the teams that need a QB are in the top ten he might slip and be bunched in with the second round guys

excellent points if that is the case and with Glenn being as good as he is in the running game wouldnt moving him to RT be something to consider if you can get a guy like Matthews or Robinson to play the left side? for the record im not suggesting they move Glenn just something to consider based on your points

I wouldnt say I found Byrd underwhelming but I def think he is overrated a bit by some fans. Aaron Williams will be just as good if not better then Byrd at FS and one of Duke, Meeks, or Searcy will win the SS job.I actually think Searcy could play well in this defense as Swartz tends to play his SS closer to the line where he excels but from what I read the coaches like him in the role he was in last year so he may stay there. Like it or not the Bills drafted Duke and Meeks for this reason so they at least have a couple young players on the roster they anticipated moving into the starting role if Byrd left. They didnt have anyone in place if Levitre left so I dont think the situations are the remotely the same

I dont see how anyone can think this means they are giving up on Geno. If they sign Vick they would most likely do so with the thinking that he could compete with Geno for the starting job. Vick may be finally realizing that teams dont view him as a starter anymore either
