  1. I don't see a scenario where the Bills don't tag Byrd Pryor looks like a beast though but looks like more of a SS then FS although some will say it doesn't matter Most of those hits were clean but we all know some will draw a flag in the NFL
  2. I used to like NFL Countdown with Berman TJ and maybe a few others sprinkled in here and there but haven't been able to watch since they extended to 90 mins and added additional personalities. How many ppl are on that set now, 6 I think? Chris Carter is unlistenable IMO If I watch any pregame now its fox as at least those guys can be funny but this last year I barely watched any pregame at all. Too many ppl on these shows and not enough talking about the actual games to be played Highlight shows are even worse now as they barely even show any highlights
  3. No i think whatever team drafts him will end up regretting it
  4. He just finished his second year in the league and I believe has 3 but at least 2 years left on his rookie deal so no need to start talking extension yet
  5. I'm sure both will end up on NFL Network as they have cornered the market on terrible TV personalities
  6. I understand what you are saying but he was getting turned around a lot before the injury as well. Rather then keeping his eye on the receiver when the receiver makes a cut he turns around which creates even more space between him and the receiver. i do agree he came back a lot sooner then he should have
  7. My biggest complaint with Gilmore is that he way too often seems to get turned around which as a CB is the last thing you want to see I was not a fan of drafting him but thought he would at worst be a solid CB and after a rough start to his rookie year showed some promise. I don't know what happened last year when he came back, I'm sure his injury played a part but he just looked lost out there downfield and way too often was nowhere near the receiver... That can't all be due to his injury
  8. Do you not get the difference between the companies that got bailouts and the NFL? The NFL is amazingly profitable and Goodell is the man running it so doesn't it make sense that he get paid well for it? And how many billions will the NFL generate over that same 20 year period?
  9. Couldn't disagree more Tom Brady was so good when he took over for an injured Bledsoe that he kept the job and ended up winning the Super Bowl Pocket awareness is not something that can be taught
  10. Are you even sure you know what pocket awareness is?
  11. why would you think differently of him now than before? anyone who has watched Chandler play and Im sure you have knows that assessment is not accurate
  12. I'm not defending Downing but Stafford's issues are more about Stafford then anyone else and I don't see him ever changing It will come down to EJ which has me concerned as I find it hard to believe Marrone and Hackett didn't try to improve his mechanics last year EJ has no pocket awareness and that is not something that can be taught
  13. If it makes sense and you think you can get the same production out of a cheaper and possibly younger player then yes. This is basic team management Make no mistake I like Stevie but from a football standpoint it doesn't make sense to keep him at his current number
  14. The Bills don't have cap issues so your point is irrelevant. The Bills would most likely replace him with a rookie anyway You don't keep a guy and pay him 7 mil or whatever his salary is just because there wouldn't be a big cap savings Ppl tried tried to make the same argument for keeping Fitz last year and what happened? They cut Fitz and signed Kolb
  15. What does that have to do with the decision to keep or cut him today? As it is today it does not make sense for the team to keep him at his current salary when he has been hurt as much as he has and the team can get the same production from a younger cheaper player
  16. They would however save real money by not paying him his salary if cut regardless of if there was a cap savings or not No team is going to continue to pay a player just because there wouldn't be a big cap savings if they cut him Stevie has no trade value. He is injured a lot and has a big cap number so what team would trade for him?
  17. It amazes me how many people don't get this No team is going to keep paying a player just bc there wouldn't be a big cap savings if they cut him
  18. Stevie has ZERO trade value...NONE. No team is going to trade for a injury prone over paid WR I am not a Stevie hater but you cant deny that he is hurt a lot and that his production does not merit his salary. Like it or not but players in these situations are usually cut and the fact that anyone thinks he has trade value is comical to me The poster I was responding to was suggesting Stevie would be paid if cut which is not correct
  19. Stevie's contract is not guaranteed so where are you getting this they would still have to pay him 8.475 million???? Any guarantees in a players contract are usually paid when he signs the contract with the cap hit spread out over the course of the contract There is more to a player getting cut then his cap number. The team can save real money by cutting him and not having to pay his salary
  20. I would not be surprised if he is cut. He can't stay healthy and his production doesn't come close to justifying his salary I also don't think he is a Marrone type of player so although I wouldn't mind seeing him back at a reduced salary and not counted on to be the top WR I just don't see it happening if he is cut. This is the time teams start notifying players they won't be back He will most likely go somewhere and be a very good number 2 or 3
  21. Hate the idea. I like how the NFL has a limited number of playoff spots unlike hockey where half the league gets in The problem isn't the number of teams that make the playoffs. The problem is 4 teams in each conference get automatic bids for winning a four team division. Changing from four divisions of 4 teams to two divisions of 8 teams in each conference leaving only 2 automatic bids with next 4 best teams getting playoff spots would basically solve the problem of teams like Arizona not getting in. Yes there would still be a chance of someone getting screwed but there always will be no matter what the format
  22. What does Roger Goodell have to do with any of that?
  23. Pears is below average IMO and who is to say that if they take a tackle at 9 they wouldnt play him at LT and move Glenn to RT where some think he would be even better i agree on taking premium players/positions high in the draft but i am not opposed to taking a good tackle at 9 to pair with Glenn regardless of which side he would play
  24. Having one legit tackle on the roster doesn't mean it's not a need.
  25. I am still a big believer in having a good offensive line and with OT a big need for this team I would have no problem if Bills take a tackle at 9 I also think adding a legit number 1 receiver is a big need so wouldn't have a problem with Watkins either but I don't think he will be there
