The run defense is still a big question mark until proven different. Spikes will help but I don't think starting two penetrating DTs is the best way to go. I actually think the defense would be better by starting Branch with Dareus and rotating Kyle in. This would get Branch on the field more at his more natural position and keep all 3 fresher during the game

this is why i fully expect the Bills to take a RB in the 3rd or 4th round in the draft they also signed Dixon from SF who I think steals a lot of the short yardage goal line carries and IMO will end up getting more carries then people think as Marrone and Hackett seem to prefer RBs that can pound the ball through the line

I agree with this and will add that the musical chair at QB and the system had a lot to do with it as well. Marrone said early on he wouldnt use his RBs in the passing game as much which doesnt make sense and the system itself was very basic. me too...came down to him and Charles and I went with the homer pick which I dont normally do and paid for it

I actually think the other is more possible as they may decide to take more of a chance then they normally would with the pressure to succeed and the future uncertain. Do you really think the Bills are set at tackle? Would Evans or Ebron really be considered a luxury pick? Chandler would be a really good second TE to someone like Ebron but this year most likely would still be the number 1 TE and isnt making a lot of money so his contract wouldnt be questioned one way or the other.

Without being able to examine Jim himself and look at his scans, blood work, and X-rays he can't make anything more then an educated guess based on what he has seen in other patients No two cancer patients are alike. Everyone's disease is different and everyone will react differently to the treatment I think you are way off on this. It is WAY too early for the Dr's to even remotely know if the treatment isn't working as he has had what one treatment so far? I don't know how long his treatment is scheduled for but they prob won't even scan him again until he is a quarter or a third of the way through his scheduled cycles to see how he his body is reacting to the chemo and radiation

Teams wanting speed on both sides of the defense isn't anything new First round picks usually get 4 year deals with team options for a 5th year so at worst they won't have to worry about an extension for 5 years. Glenn was a second round pick and signed a 4 year deal I believe and if extended it will be in the next year or two at which point this years first round pick would still have 3-4 years left on his rookie deal. What it will take to resign whoever they pick at 9 shouldn't and won't be a factor in who they decide to pick

What are you basing the one year wonder stuff on? Barr can be a terror off the edge. After racking up 13.5 sacks and 21.5 tackles for loss as a junior, he added 20 tackles for loss, 10 sacks and three forced fumbles in 2013. I don't want the Bills to draft Barr but that's pretty impressive first two years at a new position and def not a one year wonder

Why do Whaley and company know this? Are you basing this on nothing more then the fact that bc you don't like anyone else at 9 they must not either? I am all for trading back and getting another second but I have not heard or read anything that suggests that's the Bills plan or that they don't like anyone at 9.

I think initially Mathews would play RT for at least next year I dont think there is much difference anymore between RT and LT like there used to be when teams would primarily lineup in 2 WR 2 back 1 TE formations the majority of the time.

you continue to say this but are basing it on absolutely nothing...no rookie is going to come in and say I dont want to play RT and his salary will be the same as salaries are slotted now so he will be paid for where he is picked not if he plays left or right tackle Mathews also played RT until this year when he switched to LT to replace Joekel ppl need to stop thinking of it as right and left tackle and just think of it as drafting a tackle which they obviously need. the days of RT being less important are basically over with as much passing as there is in the league today and the spread offenses.

all I see are excuses for EJ but for the record I was simply asking a question more weapons will obviously help but QB was the biggest problem on offense last year

The only way the Bills stay in Buffalo is if the next owner wants to keep them in Buffalo but if the new owner wants to move the team they will find a way to do so at some point

I want Matthews or Ebron I don't think the Bills will take a WR at 9 but I do see them taking one in the second or third round as this draft is deep at receiver. As usual they will prob take a DB early in this draft as this team just loves using early picks on the secondary.

Macho Man Tom Savage I do see the Bills taking a QB in this draft but it won't be before the 4th round at the earliest

Couldn't disagree with that more as you simply can't put a blanket statement like that on any position or talent With as much passing as there is in the league today the difference between right and left tackle isn't as big as it used to be especially when you have a young QB

Kyle is a big part of the problem with the run defense IMO and think the defense would be better having Branch and Dareus start with Kyle rotating in. I don't have any stats but teams seem to do most of their damage running right at Kyle who just isn't a run stuffer. I agree that adding another DE should be a priority although it looks like they plan on going with a combination of Lawson and Hughes opposite Mario.

EJ didnt really show me anything last year to make me think he will be the answer at QB that this team has been searching for. I know all the excuses but when I watched him play I just didnt see anything to make me think he would be a good starting QB in the NFL. For the EJ supporters, what would your opinion of him be if he wasnt on the Bills? Most if not all of his supporters trash Geno who in reality didnt look much different than EJ with a lot less to work with. I'm not defending Geno but the Jets had nothing on offense last year.

there is no reason for any team to play 5 preseason games
