  1. UPL is a Beast!
  2. I still watched the Conference games and the Super Bowl but I completely agree. Football season is great but I don't miss it until it comes back. It's been great having more time over the weekends to get stuff done, exercise more, eat healthier, relax etc. I'm not too into baseball but the NHL playoffs are great and for me this time of the year is about counting down to golf season. I totally get Bills fandom but I feel sad for those that are feeling lost when football season is over. There's a big world out there with plenty of interesting hobbies, passions, and other things to get invested into.
  3. This is not unpopular
  4. Great movie!
  5. Led Zeppelin
  6. Yeah I have to Piggyback off this for mine and say that even if 13 seconds didn't happen that does not guarantee the Bills automatically win the Super Bowl that year(blows my mind that so many Bills fans think that)
  7. Nice summary of the 90s...the last great decade in my opinion
  8. People always forget Marino was the only QB who was able to shred that 85 Bears Defense. It's a shame Miami got upset against NE in the playoffs that year that would've been a much more entertaining Super Bowl
  9. It hurts to think about what could have been. But yeah that 2006 team in particular was awesome. I really thought they could go all the way that year(which is really the only time in my life I thought that about a Buffalo sports team besides going into the 2022 Bills season but by the time the season was winding down I knew it wasn't going to happen) and I still think they would've won the Cup that year if we didn't lose half of our Defensemen in the playoffs. Losing McKee before game 7 against the Canes was the final nail in the Coffin. I remember even after they lost that Game 7 how incredibly thankful the fans were for that season. Nobody was complaining they lost, everybody understood the situation they were up against. I watched Game 7 at Buffalo Wild Wings and after it was over I'll never forget everybody chanting "Thank You Sabres" I miss the love affair Buffalo had for that team. The passion, the energy, the excitement, RJ still in his prime. Ryan Miller said it best when he came back for his jersey retirement "That was the right type of team for that type of town"
  10. Once again, it wasn't so much optics but I think Beane and the organization themselves were frustrated with the whole Araiza case. Not that he was guilty but he was not transparent about the entire situation and thus dragged the Bills through a PR nightmare. He was never coming back to Buffalo after this whole thing went down. And it wasn't because of Optics or having a female owner.

  12. They listed "The Drugs Don't Work" by the Verve at number 2 which is the song I picked to start this discussion off. Pretty cool. Just a phenomenal song
  13. You clearly don't remember the backlash the Bills got when this all went down
  14. That's the Sabres hockey I miss watching 😢
  15. You can enjoy and appreciate every minute of Josh Allen's career and also really want the Bills to win a damn Super Bowl lol. They don't have to be mutually exclusive thoughts. For me I will say this, when I start getting super frustrated about our lack of playoff success and some of the shortcomings I think about the Sabres and what the alternative could be. Puts things in perspective real quick. This is definitely a very good era for Bills football.
  16. I've seen a couple different insiders report on this before and it always felt very plausible to me. The Bills felt like his camp wasn't completely upfront and honest about what his situation was and felt like they were embarrassed in front of the Nation over this story. I get being pissed he signed with KC but he was never coming back to Buffalo and I agree with the Bills front office on this one.
  17. Although I don't put all of the blame on coaching you have a fanbase that's currently questioning why we can't get past the Divisional Round with Josh Allen at Quarterback so I get why it's such a major talking point around here
  18. Buffalo is STARVING for some playoff hockey at this point...it's mindblowing the Sabres are suddenly approaching Bills playoff drought territory
  19. Very sorry to hear about this. This year has felt particularly brutal for Bills fans passing away way too young 😢
  20. When he's healthy he can be a force. My only concern with him is he going to be the type of guy that is constantly dealing with nagging injuries? The injuries he's had so far could just be flukey but I get nervous because of his body frame. Sometimes those big guys like that can deal with nagging foot problems. We'll see
  21. But that's a completely different "IF" or hypothetical conversation. That 1990 Bills team is the perfect example of where you can say they were the best team in the league that year and deserved to win the Super Bowl. If those Bills and Giants teams played each other 10 times the Bills are probably beating them 7 or 8 times out of the 10. But I just can't do that for a team that has failed to make it out of the Divisional Round 3 straight years and hasn't advanced further than the AFC Championship game during this era. 49ers, Lions, and Ravens fans can all make the same claim they were the best team in the league this past year(not saying they would be right either) but they didn't catch the breaks to win the Super Bowl.
  22. Great movie although I didn't truly appreciate it as much when I first saw it as a kid versus years later when I started working my first office jobs
  23. Yeah although my post was focused on the NHL because of watching the Jagr ceremony last night I completely agree it's across the board with all leagues. I have already completely tuned the NBA out and each passing year my interest in the NFL goes down. It's a shame because I have always been a big sports fan but I could see myself becoming just a casual observer someday at this rate.
  24. I watched the Jaromir Jagr jersey retirement game last night and all of the clips and highlight videos brought back so many memories of the NHL I grew up watching. Those Pens teams with Mario and Jagr. The Red Wings teams with Yzerman, Federov and Shanahan competing against the Avs teams with Sakic and Forsberg. The tail end of Gretzky's career. The scrappy hardest working team in hockey Sabres teams. Hasek, Roy, Brodeur. The Legion of Doom with Eric Lindros. The crowds were so much more passionate and exciting. I miss when the NHL used to look like this but also feel so grateful this is the NHL I grew up on. One of my best friends from childhood was the biggest hockey/Sabres fan I knew. He used to watch all 82 games of the season every year and we got together a few years ago to catch up and I was sad to find out he doesn't even follow the NHL at all anymore.
  25. How can you say that when you have seen how they look when they play against Cincinnati?
