  1. Hows everybody doing on their brackets so far? I'm in first place in my office right now
  2. I drank from noon to about 12:30 last night and went home and slept like **** so I am feeling pretty rough today but I was smart enough to take the day off of work. Anybody have any cool St. Pattys Day stories? At the first bar I went to I saw two people throwing up and one person crying before I even had my first sip of my beer. Was glad it was nice outside, spent alot of time on the patio soaking up the sunshine
  3. I've taken thursday and friday off from work this week, not because of march madness but because I drink very heavily on St. Patrick's Day but my college basketball team is Syracuse so that worked out really well this year and I can watch Cuse play as well friday.
  4. Cool guys thanks for the feedback! Both stories very interesting, its cool knowing WNY had some recognition for watering holes I tried to do a google search and see if I could find who holds the record right now and from what I could tell it looks like there's a street in Wisconsin that is the current champion. Wasn't really surprised by this since University of Wisconsin is known as a major College party town.
  5. The other day a co-worker of mine was saying that back in the early 80s that Oliver Street in North Tonawanda was in the guinness book of world records for having the most bars on one street. I'm rarely ever in that area but I have never known it to be anything other than a dump. I had no clue about this because that was a little before my drinking days. Was anyone here around for those days? Was it a good place for nightlife or was it just hole in the wall taverns? I know of a couple bars in NT right now that are kind of popular but I have never thought of NT as a bar mecca.
  6. Bored on a sunday evening and I was going through some old threads and came across this one which was cool to me because I am going to apply for an enhanced license this spring so I can play some golf courses over in Canada(which will also include some visits to the downer ). I haven't been in Canada for probably at least 4 years now. Alot of good memories in this thread wanted to give it a BUMP see if anybody else has any good stories/memories from trips to our neighbors in the north
  7. He is in town for a business meeting with Wegmans to promote his new barbecue sauce that is hitting shelves in WNY next week. He was also at the Big Tree Inn last night with Thurman Thomas, he posted a pic on twitter.
  8. Have always had a soft spot for the Green Bay Packers and going to a game at Lambeau is on my bucket list. Might be able to make that a reality next season(if there is one)seeing as a buddy of mine from work is related to James Starks and we have had talks and said there's a good chance he can get some Pack tickets for me next year.
  9. Great overtime, great shootout...2 points out of a playoff spot= I'm officially in hockey mode now
  10. Has anybody ever tried Cholula? Stuff is great http://cholula.com/
  11. Beat me to it, that was gonna be the one I named. Cholula is also amazing
  12. Nice! I had the day off today and gradually snacked throughout the entire day. It was great
  13. It would be great if it becomes a nationally recognized holiday/paid day off from work but I think most diehard football fans already treat it as one. I take the day after the Super Bowl off anyway but would love if I didn't have to use one of my personal 8 hours for it. Never gonna happen though.
  14. We have a rabid, diehard fanbase just like Green Bay....after that we're pretty far away.
  15. It's actually very good, it has a unique tangy bbq taste to it I can't really think of anything to compare it to. I ordered the 6 pack to try it out and sold a couple bottles to guys I work with and so far everybody has loved it.
  16. Ehh I just have the pregame shows on in the background as im preparing the food, starting to drink, I pay attention to some of it but not much
  17. Some of you guys are going all out, very impressive fellas! We are making taco and spinach dips, taco pizza, grilling up chicken with andre reed's bbq sauce, and ordering a tray of steak and cheese pizza and wings(half honey garlic)
  18. I'm not saying I would vote him in first ballot but I do think thats a media pick, he was always very beloved by the media
  19. There's not a chance Bettis goes in first ballot...Thurman didn't even get selected first ballot. Curtis, Marshall, and Deion are all locks though IMO
  20. Would love to go to a Super Bowl...would hate to pay for it though
  21. Gotta put my money down on the Pack because thats who I'll be rooting for. Not sure If I'm gonna put any money down on the over/under or any prop bets however I do have $40 worth of squares invested in the game so far.
  22. Rooting hard for the Pack but wouldn't be surprised if the Steelers come out victorious sadly
