  1. In fact... https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/953
  2. And probably before the Hound, so he has an opportunity to show, in his own inimitable gruff way, how fond he was of her. Which probably means she dies next episode. Basically, since all the surviving Stark kids are together again - Sansa, Bran, Arya, Jon - one of them has to die. And Bran's pretty much out, since they've just argued that if the Three-Eyed Raven dies, the Night King wins. Of the other three, Arya's most expendable.
  3. I think, if Tyrion winds up in the crypt, there's going to be a battle in the crypt. Simply because, from a narrative standpoint, you don't sideline a major character like Tyrion in an episode like next week's. If he wasn't involved, they'd put him in the extreme elsewhere, not just off-screen from the action.
  4. Another point I just realized: some of those characters who die will end up fighting for the Night King. In other words, Brienne might not just die, but might be reanimated. Tormund vs. Brienne-wight, anyone? Plus...all the women and children, and Tyrion are safe. Under the castle. In the crypt. Great place to be safe from a Night King that reanimates the dead, hmm?
  5. Theon's dead. His story arc is completed with his return to Winterfell. Brienne...probably, since her arc is completed with knighthood. Grey Worm...probably, based on the "Let's make future plans" trope. Sansa and Tyrion almost certainly survive, since there's more of their story to tell. Same with Jaime - I don't think his arc's complete until he stands up to Cersei. Jon...I'm not sure. Yes, there's more of his story to tell...but ending that story prematurely, finding out he's a Targaryen, is the kind of curve-ball GoT likes to throw. It's not impossible that Dany or Arya die, too. Personally...I suspect Arya kills the Night King, defending Bran with that kick-ass dragonglass bo she now has.
  6. Have you tried self-identifying as female?
  7. No, because it was perpetrated against Christians. They'd be doing the same if it were perpetrated by Buddhists.
  8. They want to make sure this isn't portrayed as religious violence. They're still searching for the youtube video that caused it.
  9. That might even rise to the legal definition of treason.
  10. The Grammies disagree. "The flute is a heavy, metal instrument."
  11. So I'm rewatching the last episode, and my wife sits down - having never seen or read so much as a second or word of GoT before, watches ten seconds of the Dany and Jon after their dragon flight, and asks me to explain the show to her. "Well, you see, she's the mother of dragons and fireproof, he's an undead- but-not-quite-undead guy who was resurrected by the priestess of the Lord of Light, they're related and he's the heir to the thrown they think she's the heir to because they don't know they're aunt and nephew yet, because he was brought up as a bastard by...screw it. The show's about ***** and slit throats." EDIT: seriously, "in-cest" is filtered?
  12. Words escape me...
  13. It's probably even more lucrative if you "adopt" the kids and use the "day care" as a front for trafficking.
  14. Religious extremists in Sri Lanka? Well, that narrows it down. Even the Buddhists in Sri Lanka are extremist.
  15. He is...the most Muppety man in the world.
  16. In Putin's defense, you kind-of have to do those things when the president-elect doesn't have a preexisting "charitable foundation" to back-channel communications.
  17. Those aren't factual errors, they're typographical errors. Which is even worse, for its unprofessionalism. How do you proofread so poorly that you don't catch having Sessions as AG before the election?
  18. Doesn't matter. The left will successfully paint it as vindictiveness, because they have the media.
  19. Easy to call that a wide margin, since the president isn't elected by popular vote. Or...Trump's just an idiot who's never said anything he hasn't eventually contradicted.
  20. Somebody's going to make the argument that Trump doesn't have the authority to declassify FISA documents. They may even try to make the argument in court. And I wouldn't put it past the 9th Circuit to rule against Trump.
  21. Three-fifths of the states, and 70+ electoral college votes. The popular vote is not the margin of victory in presidential races.
  22. Actually, for 25 years prior to that. "President Trump" was the punch line to bad jokes for a hell of a long time.
  23. Romney could run for President in 2020 on the exact same campaign platform he used in 2012, and be the Democrats' darling.
  24. I understand "lopping off heads" is a relatively common metaphor for firing people. But I also understand that the left requires that metaphors be interpreted literally when issued from the right. So I have absolutely no sympathy for her.
