  1. You sure it wouldn't just be a stimulus? I mean...this is Swalwell...

  3. "Republican war on women" favors the Democrats. Facts don't matter.
  4. Swalwell looks like a more punchable Dennis Quaid.
  5. He's calling a reaction to stimulus "pain" with no evidence. You'll listen to him because he reinforces your preconceived notions. That's all. He's still wrong.
  6. That's ironic. I was just thinking how the NFL should reduce the use of Pete Carroll.
  7. All based on a misunderstanding of "pain" vs. "nocioception."
  8. We'll know Hillary's running again when the OIG dies mysteriously.
  9. Because everything has a response to negative stimulus. Even plants. Even the simplest of multicellular life. That does not equal "pain."
  10. This is the third time in six months they've reset it to 12 years.
  11. Yes, I saw it, and it's horseshit, and I don't know what's wrong with you that you felt compelled to post it again here. I mean, I know why you did: there's something wrong with you. I just don't know what that is.
  12. This is so inexplicable, it's gatorman-level stupid.
  13. What if he started a Global Initiative whose board had command authority over the Navy, could he meet with other leaders then?
  14. Who'll be the first to flip and cop a plea? My money's on Brennan.
  15. I knew they'd make an anti-Trump allegory out of it, but I hadn't expected them to go anti-Bolton.
  16. Lysistrata was satire, though.
  17. I think it's pretty clear why Martin hasn't finished the books: while he knows how they end, he has no idea how to "get there from here." That's why the show suffered when they passed the books. It became a litany of plot points loosely connected by a narrative structure. The finale made that clear. That should be a lesson to all writers, aspiring and professional.
  18. I can solve Monday's and Tuesday's, usually under ten minutes, and Wednesday's about half the time. Once I solved a Sunday crossword (roughly equivalent to Thursday), with four other people, and it took us three days. Never solved a Thursday or Friday. The Saturday puzzle is known as the "B word-mother of all crossword puzzles" (from the Times Crossword puzzle editor himself). I've never gotten more than five words in that. I actually use them as diagnostic tools. If I can't solve a Monday puzzle, it's a sign of clinical depression.
  19. Sam invents democracy...gets laughed at. That was great.
  20. Arguably more legendary as a NYT crossword puzzle answer.
  21. She attacked during the day because the Night King attacked Winterfell in darkness, and none of the viewers knew what was going on.
  22. Not sure how the left is going to spin this, but my best guess is "Trump is using the dossier to split us from our strongest ally for Russia's benefit." They might season it with some "Fake news Trump planted."
