This, if not treason, is a hell of a lot closer to the definition of treason than anything Trump has done.

The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency
DC Tom replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Not listed: Fox, because the NYT's reporters are still too partisan to appear on an opposition network. #Resistance. -
The Mizzou/Yale/PC/Free Speech Topic

Just reverse the races and read it again. and it’s a reminder that the mainstream left are increasingly a mirror image of the alt-right. Also, a few months ago, Peggy Noonan warned, “Get Rready for the [Mao-inspired] Struggle Session” — and this fits that description perfectly. (No word yet if Mao-era dunce caps are on the invitation’s dress code The Red Guard parades an official through a Peking street and force him to wear a dunce cap as a mark of public shame. He is the member of an anti-revolutionary group and, according to the writing on the cap, he has been accused of being a political pickpocket. This picture was made in the Peking on Jan. 25, 1967 and was obtained from Japanese sources in Tokyo. (AP photo and caption.) . What the ***** is a "political pickpocket?" -
So while he just sent the USMCA to Congress for approval, he's simultaneously tying it to instability in El Salvador, Guatemela, and Honduras. That is extraordinarily stupid. That's Obama "red line" stupid.

Well, their union is a WGA affiliate, of which at least one of our posters must be a member. Hey, @Deranged Rhino, how much of this does the WGA blame on Trump? -

Trump likes hierarchies, and accountability.

"The Rwandan genocide started 25 years ago today." Six of my team: "The what?" One of my team: "I heard about that in my anthropology class in college." Me: "*****, I'm old."
-
One of my team today asked "What makes someone set themselves on fire? He must have been mentally ill." I responded "Or Buddhist." Then I had to explain the reference. Yes, lots are too young to remember that.

Looking at the source code rendered in my browser, your posts have a weird "Protected by Grammarly" element embedded in them that's causing the weird spacing problem in posts you quote. There's actually two extra <div> tags in yours, compared to everyone else's. When I delete them, your posts are fine. What browser are you using? You using Grammarly for Chrome?

"Clearly not innocent" is whack-a-doodle bull####. That's Title IX abuse "preponderance of evidence" nonsense. Quote me the statute, criminal procedure, or case law where that means something. No, you can't. You impeach him first. How's that going? Where's the "preponderance of evidence" standard codified for that?

What really hurts, and what killed him, is that for the time he spent engulfed in flame, he was inhaling very hot air. He likely died of pulmonary edema, from what was effectively "third degree burns in his lungs." I wouldn't be surprised if, at some point, his brain just said "***** this, he's not listening to me" and his pain receptors shut down. It's been known to happen in severe trauma cases - pain is useful as a "something's wrong" signal, but can get extreme enough that the body essentially stops transmitting pain signals on some sort of biological "What's the point?" basis.

Government cooking the books like this would be a major scandal if we had a nonpartisan press. . I'll try to explain more later, but for now: this is Holcomb's Arm "rolling 3.5 on a die" level wrong. -
Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread

Interesting that the fundraising qualifier is determined by the number of individual donors, rather than total donations received. If that incentivizes candidates into going after any fringe Democrat voter with a few dollars to spare, the results shouldn’t fail to amuse. Which is fine, really. They have to have at least one serious debate that's not all Swalwelled up. -
Less that, than they're actively portraying the economy as tanking in that attempt. The reality is that GDP growth has been largely the same under Trump than Obama (roughly equivalent magnitude, but slightly more consistent), but whereas it was portrayed as utopian under Obama, it's impending doom under Trump.

Expired potato salad. Though this is an extreme case, similar "hide the distraction" practices were likely done for Obama and Bush. I know they were for the Clintons. And Trump almost certainly had no direct involvement with this; this is the sort of thing that sycophantic mid-level staffers with no career advancement path do as a matter of course.

Really? Not "If a pregnant woman has a baby, she has the right to terminate her pregnancy?" That is an unholy mess of mismatched vocabulary and verb tense (if a pregnant woman "has a baby," the pregnancy is already terminated by the birth of the baby. ) He just packed so much stupid in to so few words. Watching him try to use the English language is like watching a sea otter use an impact wrench. A never-ending source of multi-faceted Kafkaesque whatthe*****ery.
