  1. ok, so we need to win out, win the chip, and fire our hc, light work!! the fact that he came out and admitted the 9/11 story in the article seems like a tactical blunder -- it makes everything in the article seem valid. this embarrassment along w our playoff exits and d blunders are likely enough to fire mcd, but in addition, the lack of cleverness shown by him admitting what seems like the most inflammatory part of the story shows compounded poor judgement. if he weren't DC as well as HC, i'd think firing him and promoting brady would give us our best shot at the chip this season. mcd has provided himself a blanket of protection by hiring the gm instead of the other way around, but in doing so, he has likely sealed his own doom -- it just isn't likely to happen until the end of the year.
  2. based on his play and his contract, i hope he gets a quick conviction and we nullify so our cap improves.
  3. the main reason i think we can do this is that we have an actual O line and production from our RB and TE positions. our D isn't what we'd like it to be, but the jets and philly have sick Ds and they both got walked on by our o, so keeping the ball away from fools which we can now do will bolster our efforts on D bigly. Allen with blocking and a run game is not stoppable, the opponent just hold on and hope attrition (and the refs) go their way. our chance to win every game more or less comes down to the offense executing well enough to take the game out of the refs and our own ds hands, with brady showing some cahones i'll ride with that. lastly, we have perhaps the streakiest team and qb in the nfl. we've gone on a winning streak of one kind or another every one of the past 3 seasons, and the game after the bye has often been our greatest catalyst. josh allen in the playoffs on a 5 game win streak with some running and blocking is a scary scary sight, he does things every team in the nfl can see that lets them know when he's on you need your lotto numbers to come in to even have a chance.
  4. as mentioned above, miami dropping two and us winning out is our best path. win division, home field game (and more if wild cards get hot).
  5. mcd is simply a choker. he coaches below his ability when the pressure is on, and either just defends the deep pass to not allow the big walk off td or runs some kamakazee blitz that we aren't even good at. not only is he calling the wrong plays, but he's giving the other team easy yards and supreme confidence, all while lower the confidence of our own team. do you think the bills players aren't soberly aware that their all world qb hasn't won a single OT game? in order to stop our o, which is better than anyone we have faced except maybe miami (and even then, i think our potential is higher) teams do all sorts of things that are reasonably effective. just rushing 3 and dropping 8 with some disguise might slow the O down enough to burn time and make the qb take a shorter outlet which is basically guaranteeing a win when the clock is low and you need to get in fg range. instead we lose games with the same damn playcall. the lesson is clear and you know the bills staff is aware, it's just that mcd is a choker and can't help himself.
  6. exactly what i thought, but it is definitely not wrong.
  7. I love the PMA bro. the one thing we have going for us -- we closed out the prior 3 seasons w huge win streaks, and have had some great records post bye. we just need to combine the two, come out blazing vs kc, ride that wave onto dallas, obliterate NE and LAC, and deliver cold hard unforgiving justice to the phish. then, the whole nfl still playing football has to win out, and we have a head start.
  8. we keep losing the same way, being easy and predictable on d late in games. i say you fired your OC for much less than that, gotta fire the DC now.
  9. HC: Rosco Parish OC: Chris Watson DC: Josh Reed ST: Rosco Parish (double duty) OL: Coy Wire WR: Lonnie Jax TE: Drew bledsoe QB: JP Losman (might actually be good here, might change later) RB: Mike williams (the OT) DL coach: Willis McGahee LB: Coy Wire (double duty) Safeties coach: Izell Reese DB coach: Sam Gash CB coach: Coy Wire (triple duty)
  10. if mcd is let go after this season (say we miss the playoffs, which is sadly quite likely) -- how does he compare to marvin lewis? better record with miles more talent. lost games due to horrible blunders. both ran teams with huge discipline problems, the difference is lewis drafted and signed problem child talents who would fly off the handle here and there. mcd goes for "character" but we commit painful penalties at a huge rate. in 2020 it could be argued that maybe we didn't have the talent to hang w the big dogs (not sure that's true, but i could buy it), since then we haven't been out talented, just out coached and out played. this guy is a dud and i'd like to see who on this board still buys in
  11. up until last season we always had one loss where we simply did not show up and got boat raced hard. usually vs a strong running team that our undersized d got ate by. i suppose last season you could say that happened to us in the playoffs vs cinci. that hasn't happened to us this season, but i think it is because we win at the line of scrimmage more of than we lose (we finally have a solid OL, and RB and TE production, great season to give gift wins to NE, jets, and denver!). one thing i don't see mentioned much lately -- penalties. the zebras were out to get us vs philly, but we did commit some dumb dumb dumb penalties. obvious cheap stuff that basically didn't even give us an advantage in the play. a trend of penalties is largely on the coach.
  12. dorsey had better production and got let go than what mcd has had. even jsut over the 25 or 30 games dorsey was our OC for. got a link to that article?
  13. for what we paid these two guys and some other wood, we coulda gotten street free agents and signed hopkins. im fully on the fire mcd wagon (obv an epic turn around might make me grudgingly accept him) but the let beene loose trend is getting my attention more and more.
  14. i honestly think if pegula sits mcd down and says "it's playoffs or no job" then we have our best shot. if mcd, fearing for his job, does not get any better, than the answer cannot be more clear to the ownership, he just sucks. if he pulls off a miracle, then we have a miracle and a shot at the chip.
  15. at the goal line you time and jump over and over again. get some hits on them on their way to 6, as opposed to getting hit. it stinks, but it is what it is.
  16. i just have to laugh man, it's written to cover grabbing the collar, but they said oh no, it was the front. like, they just don't know the rule
  17. that's awesome! how did the fight go?
  18. i was sad about the cap stich before, but honestly we can get the exact same results or better with some rookies and free agent jags replacing who we lose. on o, we might have fiddle w the OL a bit to keep it at the level it is now, but outside of C, we should have everyone for 1 or 2 more years without any trouble, and we can upgrade RT. Our production is about cook, diggs, kinkaid, allen, and whoever the hell else gets open and doesn't suck (shefield, harty, davis who is our like 3rd or 4th best target). reshuffling that won't cause harm. so basically, if our O can be what it is (and it can be) we just need some fresh legs on D and better in game management. hell, we woulda beat the doncos and ne and philly w just kinda ok d at the end of the game. we woulda even had a good shot vs jax and cinci if brady was our oc in those games.
  19. after he poop canned dorsey, mc clapper said "this is a results business". well, at this point we are hoping and praying for the same results we got after the 2019 season, which is a close playoff loss. where we are right now, we basically have to win out or possibly drop 1 and get a lot of help to make the post season. we built a quick lead that we held onto into half time, and then got torched by houston making improbable play after play while our d missed tackles. i remember watching that game and thinking our team needed a star wr more than anything, and we went out and got one. since then, we've had the same exact exit time and time again from the playoffs, we dumped money on retreat linemen who never quite performed for us, now we have some of the same retreads (shaq and phillip) that we had then, and big dollars invested (along with picks) in the d allowing us to lose the same freaking way we lost that one, ditching a lead and getting trucked on D. in our first playoff win in a million years, we barely beat indy at home, and our d got trucked in that game something fierce. we beat up baltimore in a wind tunnel game, and then got steam rolled by KC. after that, it was 13 seconds and what i (along w many others) thought was a gold brick road to a superbowl ship was destroyed by awful awful coaching. then we get the improbable 13 win season where cinci murked us after we barely beat miami at home with UPS's best driver at qb. this season we have been in true playoff form, with some nice leads in games being squandered and a horrible defensive meltdown in 6 games leading us to a 500 record. we have who could be the goat at qb and finally a solid offensive line, and mccorch fired the oc in a desperation move. well that paid off as our o is on fire, but in spite of some early game strong play by the D from time to time, we can still ***** a loss from the jaws of victory by calling the same d out of the same look that opposing players make pithy comments about as they relegate us to the 10th best team in the afc. well, if this is the results business, the only result mcd can really claim to have added to our team over the past 4 seasons is pissing away an offense that refs and super bowl defenses can't stop while he dumps our draft and cap into our late game lawn chair defense. he's gotta go.
  20. Jets game 1, jax (kind of), Denver, New England, Cincinnati, and now Philly. If we have less than a 2 score lead and the opponent has the ball last, we lose. Injuries or not, this is a badly performing d when the chips are down. And we have dumped all our gold into d. I'd keep Brady if I could, have to see the rest of the season, but barring a huge turn around, either the entire coaching staff (less Brady, maybe) or the entire front office has to go
  21. The o got much better when we fired the previous coach who actually had good stats over the entire course of his time here (he needed to be fired tho). We need to do the same again for the DC
  22. Bad fold by the d after that great first second half stop
  23. Our kicker and our punter are garbage. Instead of paying gunners 5mm a year and Hines and Harry money, we should have a real kicker, real punter, and real 2 wr Either way, we should win this game, but I don't feel so good
  24. Just like that, all our advantage is slipping away
  25. Absolute domination but a few dumb mistakes and crooked refs have us barely leading.
