the TO drop and that missed tackle by mclovin have been HUGE in this game

ohOOOOOOHHHHH BABY

hopefully brady's first pass gets his knee torn and welker crippled as well, on a tip for a pick six at that!

Do u think Trent will actually throw it deep?
colin replied to kbuckley9091's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i'm gonna disagree w my boy bill in nyc and say they should fire a deep pass early to loosen up the pats D. i think their secondary is pretty piss poor and we can get them. -
that over rated minni line got favre sacked 4 times by the fuggin browns. ap ran great, but i don't credit the line as much as him on that.

I got a crazy feeling we are going to beat NE
colin replied to Gordio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
these guys are huge, but SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW for a 4-3 D. i really think if we run quick direct plays against them to the edges or behind the LBs their secondary will be out of position enough for us to make some big gainers. -
except for phat pat williams (who was my favorite bill) and london fletcher the bills have looked pretty brilliant in who they let go. i don't think clements would crack our starting lineup come week 8 of this year.

i'm not happy about our starting O at all, but the chicken little sht is getting out of hand. multiple plays called directly toward parrish, one single pass to evans, no slants, no drags, and while trent sucked the WRs blew -- they were not getting their head around, they weren't fighting to come back to the ball, nothing. i think evans reed and parrish together are a horrible mix. they are just too small and too unphysical. you will notice we barely did anything to the TEs against pittz, and ran no screens. i think it's clear we will be running those in the regular season. oh, the biggest thing i did learn is that our 3rd and 4th string RBs can't block the world champion league leading pass rush.

i want brady to play. i also want the first offensive play for the pats to be a sack, with brady getting torn apart by our two DEs hitting him. i want his shoulder to rip clean off, his knee to turn to marmalade and for him to die of aids on the cart going off the field. not just any aids, exploding aids, the kind that will take billicheck and about 12 other pats out with him, and 5000 fans.

green bay has been destroying teams on D all preseason. i think their new DC is very very good and trying to make a name for himself, and they've got some talent. they should be good but not this good in the regular season IMO.

i also heard TD wanted to trade up to houston, but couldn't because they wanted a CB. you know, if TD got big ben, he'd still be here and generally be considered a great GM (mularky too probably). i remember chris carter saying something on TV "it's not the X's and the O's, it's the willies and the joes"

if he were a left tackle coming off of a bad season and two seasons ended early by injury then half of this board would nuzzle his sack and curse the bills if they didn't give him the highest contract for a lineman in the nfl.

TO is the key to our O in the early season, but late we need hardy and nelson to come on. no physical size in the O just killed us all last year.

Official Trent Edwards Excuse Thread...

+1 i agree with the above, and the criticism that Evans does not come back for the ball or do many other things well enough (perhaps mostly due to his lack of size and physical presence). now this year w TO on the other side evans might have a chance to show all he can do. bottom line is trent needs to step up big time this year. he might still have to check down a bunch due to having a young line and lynch being out for a bit, but he needs to improve as the year goes on, and not get so tennative against 3 4 Ds. if he get's quicker on the trigger, i think he could be very good. if he fades again this year, he's being replaced. -
ok, but we beat chicago, and chicago beat up the NYG bad, so by extention the pack are way way better than the giants? nah, i don't think so either. i think simon makes some points, but also we sucked and the "bad coaching" i think was in part intentional kind of hanging our guys out to dry a bit. no matter what, we NEED to figure out a way to attack the 34 more than anything else. TO would be a big help.

mccargo looks like he is gonna earn himself a roster spot

for crying out loud our back ups are not better than trent edwards, that much is obvious. now i think this is trent's make or break year. he needs to step up and play well. if he is like he was last year, clearly we need a big qb upgrade. so i'll know for sure how he is at qb at the end of the season, but i already know what we have at WR. with TO and evans in there, we are much much better than with just Evans. we need at least one of Nelson, Hardy, or that other big kid we got last year to come alive this season as well. reed parrish and evans together are just so super easy for teams to eliminate.

Need to shake up this team with some high profile cuts
colin replied to Chuckknox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
it was just a preseason game, but aaron schoble better step up big time in the reg season. i've been a big supporter of him and he's had a great career in blo, but if he's as bad as he looked due to his foot he's prolly done. -
Holy crap were they as bad as the box-score looks
colin replied to sharper802's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
it was horrible, but the big thing were the turnovers. rookies getting blown off the ball on the Oline (fumble) and evans being lazy coming back for the ball got us our first two. after that we were shell shocked. this reminded me of the arizona game, once we get into an early funk we just suck out loud and can't get out of it. same thing as that home sunday nighter 2 years ago vs NE at home (worst loss in team history). i don't buy the whole we are as bad at detroit stuff, but we really do need to shape up. -

our smurf WRs are sheet. TO is a monster, evans CAN be good, but is not consistent, parrish and reed and fine and shoumen are jokes. none of them are starting quality players. we need nelson, kid we got last year in round 2, and TO to work out well this year in a hurry. for a 9 stick a year wr, evans is pretty sht. -

the screens, the swings, and the direct plays to the edges work for us, of course we'll continue to run the plays that are slow to develop. -

HOW IS THAT NOT A COMPLETE PASS?!?!?!?
