  1. If only Sam Adams could play the way the coaches tell him to. He is our best defensive tackle, but plays his way. Props to DT Jefferson. He looked OK in his first action suited up as a Bill. I guess you can't expect much from the guy considering he's a practice squad graduate.
  2. It's so much more exciting with those guys in there. Well, JP especially. Someone pointed it out in an earlier thread, but I'll repeat the sentiment that Troy Vincent is simply not physical enough. The guy would avoid it if he could. Baker made some nice plays today. If he can keep it up, I'm all for the younger/cheaper guy playing. I just think Vincent's lost something.
  3. Vanek is good. Was hoping he'd get it back!
  4. true ignorance, when someone doesn't listen to good advice. it's a tough game. there are better ones to bet on. and if you don't know the rules of gambling, not even one, then you shouldn't gamble. here's another rule for you; don't bet with your heart, bet with your head. that's why i stay away from bills games.
  5. There are a few rules of gambling. One of them is don't bet division rivalries. I think Philly and Dallas can be considered that, right? I guess I'm still wondering how you think Philly will win by 2 TD's when they got smoked by Dallas earlier in the season. It MUST be the Drew Bledsoe playing a team for the 2nd time in the season effect, right?
  6. That scenario may save him from becoming a total bust. Regardless, he will HAVE to take a paycut next season or he is gone. Simple economics at this point. If he is a guard, he can't be the highest paid guy on the team. I was going to start a seperate thread to ask this question but I may as well do it here. The reason for Mike Williams not performing as well at the tackle position HAS to be because of the ankle injury from week 2. If that isn't the case, was last year a fluke when he started to play like an animal? The guy is starting to get healthy again so if he plays like he did last year, he should be a heck of a guard. The problem is keeping this softy healthy. One more related question; does Jason Peters really deserve Mike Williams position after ONE start? I love Jason (notice how I avoided saying 'I love Peters') as much as anyone here, but I'm slightly concerned that they're forcing him in because of Williams' injury. I love the idea of getting him in there now and letting him develop on the line but to say Mike Williams lost this position is slightly unfair and I say this because Williams' played well last year and this year he has been battling that ankle sprain. That being said, I'm still pleased they are making the move to get Bennie out of there. He flat out blows on pass protection and draws at least 2 penalties a game. I really hope Jason Peters works out in the RT position on a full time basis. He's a beast. I also hope Mike Williams becomes a monster at the guard position and sticks but is willing to take a good paycut next season. We simply can't afford him with his current cap hit playing the guard position.
  7. I agree 100%. Excellent post. FYI - I didn't see anything on Sportline's website about this so I'm not buying into it until I see some sort of link or ESPN reporting it.
  8. You're forgetting that this is the NFL and every game is no given. See San Fran beating Tampa Bay, or St Louis beating Jacksonville. No one saw either of those coming. Nor did anyone see the Bills putting up a dog fight against New Eng. New Eng. is depleted with injuries, dude. Did you see all of the secondary switches they made? This will not be Indy's toughest game. Obviously the Jacksonville game from week 2 was one of their toughest test' to date. The rematch will be just as good. Seattle is fantastic. San Diego beat New Eng just as bad, and you didn't crown them super bowl champs. Why couldn't they beat up on Indy? Ahh forget it.
  9. Good post Simon. That being said, they will not go undefeated. 8-0 is nice but it's only the halfway point of the season. Premature talk.
  10. Bennie's being benched. Maybe it'll work.
  11. As if MM would have the balls to start JP anyways, Kelly Holcomb is watching this game with a smile. This guarantee's Holcomb a few more starts at the very least. Jets Lose. Dolphins Lose. Pats getting schooled, on the verge of losing. How could it work out any better for the Bills? You know until the Bills are out of Playoff contention, it's Holcomb's team. It frustrates me to no end. We will use this excuse until the end of the year when it's too late to get JP the proper amount of reps. And then next year we will be in the same exact position.
  12. "Tonight is an historic night!!!"
  13. Yeah I guess I gave good ol' Joe a compliment there. You know what I mean though. And you don't need to have seen Willis at the U to know if he's a good back now.
  14. chicago jacksonville carolina tampa bay san diego
  15. yep. bring it. Raiders should've won except they've got a defensive coordinator just as bad as ours.
  16. I was speaking from a different team's perspective. Definitely not the Bills. I'm sticking with Losman. 4 games isn't enough to change my mind. Sorry to go off topic here but the Bills will be fun for me when Losman gets back in there.
  17. now I officially know it's a bye-week for the Bills.
  18. Despite his weak performance against Miami, Marcus Vick may be a name to throw in. Michael Vick had similar results against Miami when he was with VT, although he was playing injured. Right? Another name would be Brady Quinn. Weiss has totally turned this guys career around. There are a few other honerable mentions but I'll stop there. My personal choice has to be Leinart. I know he is surrounded by some really good talent, but the guy shows up every big game and appears to be a winner. He's probably closer to being an NFL qb than anyone else in college football, and moreso than Alex Smith. There's no way I'd build my team around Alex Smith like San Fran chose to do. Reggie Bush could be the next LT. I guess you can't go wrong building around that type of a player. Vince Young will surely be a top 10 pick as well.
  19. As long as we don't draft a WR, QB, and RB I'll be very happy. Let's stock up both sides of the line. BIG TIME, please.
  20. There is no chance Owens will end up as a Raider for many reasons. It's crazy that they have 2 highly paid receivers already (Moss and Porter), but to add another would be cap suicide. They'd be sacrificing in a lot of other areas even if they did make room for Owens. Another thing to consider would be Owens and Moss complaining about touches. Who'd get more? Who'd be #1 on the depth chart? I could just picture both of there mugs on ESPN all day, everyday. That would be annoying. A few years back I'd say he could end up as a Redskin because Daniel Snyder was throwing big bucks everywhere for any big free agent name. I don't know if they are still doing that. Plus, Santana Moss has turned out to be an excellent #1 receiver. They could build around him. I really don't know of any other possibilities because TO won't play for a team with a weak quarterback, as shown by his ditching of the Raven's offer. Also, what team wants to deal with his everyweek complaints?
  21. People - please don't even bother. There is no reasoning with this Flea guy. Every single one of his posts have been anti-McGahee posts from the day he signed up to this board. He said Willis is BARELY AVERAGE. That says enough about his knowledge of football. Or lack thereof. Willis isn't the greatest, that's for sure. But to claim he's barely average like Joe Burns is ridiculous. I'd hate to see Flea's opinion on any other Bills player if he thinks our best player is barely average.
  22. worst.post.ever. he shot blanks in the 4th quarter? dude he carried it 31 times. how many more did you want him to carry the load? even still, he was popping off 4-5 yards on first down. poor man's Bam Morris? seriously man, you're an idiot. 200 yard games happen at LEAST once per season? lmao. prior to sunday, almost the HALFWAY point of the season the highest rushing total was 191 yards by LT. and you said it yourself, at least once a season. well, we're only half way through this one. he's already approached 150 on more than one occassion. get your facts straight and be realistic. he played a fantastic game last night and you somehow find a way to bash the guy. unreal.
  23. normally i might laugh. right now - i just cant. what a sickening game.
  24. Exactly. I just saw this coming. I was pretty content that we were up, but knew that I couldn't celebrate until the outcome was official. What a joke, joke, joke!!!!!!!!
  25. Yeah cause Mike Williams worked out so well.
