JJ Watt vs Marcell Dareus
BillsObserver replied to Jim in Anchorage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If there was a re-draft, it's pretty obvious who the Bills would take of the 2 players mentioned. -
Ya know, because it's his birthday I should give you the Fitzbeardy Tracker but I won't because I'll get another warning. Happy Birthday Fitz

Happy Ryan Fitzpatrick Day to you !!
BillsObserver replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Top tier money? I think it needs to be said for the 10,000th time - Fitz is paid like a middle of the pack QB. The final number sure sounds like a lot but the Bills can actually get out of a lot of it if they decide to cut him after this season. -
Gailey said so. Miscommunications. http://t.co/VnheSYg1

He just signed on with the Titans.

any news on torell troup?
BillsObserver replied to MARCELL DAREUS POWER's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just a few things: Prior to the injury, Troup was having the camp of his life and looked really good. Last thing I heard was he'll be close to ready come camp time. You can learn a lot about a guy on Twitter. Some guys post their business like you wouldn't believe. Troup is constantly at the gym rehabbing and looking for ways to get better. The kid has the work ethic, no doubt. Can he stay healthy this year is the big question? He's still got a shot, in my opinion. -
Amazes me that more people haven't figured it out yet. Brown was tweeting the names right before the picks in the late rounds. This man is fed plenty of good information. Read his stuff - he's always giving good bits of info that's easy to connect the dots to.

This is almost as bad as the guy who will inevitably post "This is greatest draft class EVER by the Bills!" You've made far too many assumptions in your original post. How do you know Gillmore will struggle? Because every single rookie CB in league history has??? (Not true, btw) How do you know Glenn won't win the LT job by the start of the season?? How do you know our WR is a huge question mark and can't make an immediate impact? Because Mayock says so? Just because the Bengals had 2 first round picks and drafted guys you heard of doesn't mean they'll work out great.

DRAFT NIGHT PARTIES NEXT THURSDAY

Solid slice of pie, in my opinion. Hope to see you there.. -
DRAFT NIGHT PARTIES NEXT THURSDAY
BillsObserver replied to shoretalk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Shoretalk - There is one party that I know of. Next Thursday (duh) @ Marotto's (56 Niagara Street, Buffalo NY). It's located on the corner of Franklin and Niagara, right in the heart of downtown. It's right next to the pizzeria DOUGHBOIS. $3.00 beers and ... FREE PIZZA (for a period of time, not sure how much he's going to put out but hey, if there's a big crowd there should be a decent amount). My buddy bartends there and is trying to drum up some interest for this. -
Thanks for the serious reply. That's a good idea. I'm willing to spend that much if it's a good idea. Would love to hear some more even if it's not Bills related.
-
ha! That's all covered.
-
Would love to hear some creative ideas for Groomsmen gifts. I would like to do something Bills related if possible. The easy idea would be a mug with a Bills logo or something but does anyone have any unique stories or ideas?? Trying to think outside the box.. Thanks, fellas.

Demetrius Bell - Now an Eagle
BillsObserver replied to voodoo poonani's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Evan Silva @evansilva Pretty clear Demetrius Bell is asking for too much money. Has visited #Eagles, #Steelers, #Packers, #Cardinals, #Redskins. Still jobless. -
He's just not Chan's guy. Not fast enough, not tall enough. They've even said that. When your moniker is "All I do is catch everything" and then you start dropping balls... well, you know what that means. The only time they bring him back is when there's an injury. I know you love the kid but he's not the complete receiver (his blocking just isnt good) they prefer.
-
You kidding me? Just my opinion but Naaman doesn't have much of a chance to make the roster.
-
Hagan wasn't bad. I mean, if his name was more recognizable and he didn't wear the full arm-length undershirt, we'd all be saying "hey, this guy we signed late in the season came in and actually made quite a few plays."
-
It would cost a fortune but I'm cool with it. And when I say fortune, I mean he'd be one of the top paid receivers in the league.
-
Clowney's highest reception total came in 2009 with the Jets when he had 14 for 191 yards and 1 Touchdown. After he was cut, he went to Carolina (where they ran a really conservative, predictable offense under Jimmy Claussen) and made a few plays. Seem like the guy was a decent special teams contributor and never got a fair chance as a WR. Who knows, maybe Gailey and Fitz can get something out of this guy. Or maybe not. Either way, I like that the team is already getting a head start on next season.

Buddy Nix to retire after 2012 draft?
BillsObserver replied to Jdragon2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just a quick update on the Nix story. JoeB from WGR just tweeted the following: JoeB_WGR Joe Buscaglia In response to a rumor that Buddy Nix may be stepping down, Russ Brandon emphatically tells Kiss 98.5 "Buddy isn't going anywhere." Still doesn't rule out Whaley taking over the day to day duties and Nix taking on more of a consulting role..
