  1. It appears he already has one.
  2. How much higher profile do you need than watching 7-11 Hogan star and get cut at the end?
  3. Very sorry to 'hear' that. Will say a prayer for her.
  4. Santa Claus is dead!?!?! Say it ain't so. RIP
  5. We shall see soon enough. I don't see the Bruins realistically leaving his control.
  6. I am well aware that he can keep the Bruins w/in his family and make a play for the Bills. My contention was with your (and other posters) stating &/or implying he'll sell the B's to outside interests. I don't see anyway that happens. He's the 2nd most powerful owner in a league bringing in ~$3.5B/yr. It's only 1/3-1/4 of what the NFL does, but it isn't chump change and being 2 is better than being 32 which is where the new Bills' owner sits (will sit).
  7. No way the 2nd most powerful owner in the NHL quits it. I can see him being interested in the Bills.
  8. Cough, cough, Chara. (Iginla might be considered a 'big' FA as well.)
  9. Chiarelli taking over as GM and Sinden bumping up out of that role had a lot to do with it. Neely taking over as President and bumping Sinden further out of the direct loop also had a role.
  10. Because it will cut into Buffett's profits and big D backers hate it. (Yeah, I know the q was rhetorical. Sorry.)
  11. Well stated. I doubt anyone would ever say that Presidents Carter nor Bush 43 hated the US. Prior to President Obama taking over either would get a lot of votes as the worst President in their lifetime. Now, either would lose a lot of those votes. I don't believe that the President hates America; but his vision of how to reach his ideal America seems to be giving us President Carter on steroids. Not good.
  12. Always thought New Orleans should have called themselves the Fighting Mormons and then see if Utah wanted to swap monikers.
  13. Plus we don't know whether he's speaking from personal experience. Perhaps he can't turn on a computer himself.
  14. In fairness to him, any country that could have 1/2 of its legislative branch run by this dolt might truly have a large portion of the citizenry that IS too stupid to use a website.
  15. Here's to hoping his successor feels as loyal to keeping the Bills in town as RW did for 55 years. Once again, RIP RW.
  16. The traffic jam was "catastophic?" Last I heard, there were no deaths or injuries. If there, in fact, were none; it seems a tad hyperbolic to call it "catastrophic."
  17. To #2 - Yes, that is what is happening. To #3 - Please show me where I or anyone ever indicated that a gall bladder should be buried.
  18. My issue isn't with cremation, it is with throwing the carcass in with the rest of the trash and then using it for energy recovery, all 50 kBTUs of it.
  19. There is no emotional ground here? Wtf? 2 thoughts on this. 1st, not all terminated pregnancies are due to elective abortion. Should those that were terminated naturally or for medical safety of the mother also be essentially tossed in the trash as well? 2nd, why not treat all dead that way as well? It comes down to basic decency and dignity at some point, or at least it should.
  20. Yes, what you are missing is that in order to be ACA compliant, the insurance policies MUST cover contraception. They can't go as an additional rider paid by the employee.
  21. That's what I'm afraid of.
  22. I am hoping that the Commerce Dept can't unilaterally drop this w/out Congressional say or that it isn't a very big deal. But to my layman's eyes, it appears to be a big deal. Not sure why it isn't getting more coverage. Unless I'm missing something.
  23. I saw a Crovitz article a couple of days ago regarding the Commerce Dept's plan to not renew it's contract past 2015 with ICANN. Related article: http://www.lawfarebl...-ntia-and-iana/ Surprised there wasn't a thread about it over here. Any thoughts on what this means as far as actual functioning of the internet?
  24. They definitely are, and the incumbant's party always loses ground in year 6, but I'll hold off on cheering getting Reid out of the driver's seat and Pelosi getting pushed farther to the back of the bus until it actually happens.
