1. It'd be Christmas dinner by the time he'd finish!
2.
I really want to know why some around here are calling for a new QB...ALREADY. I'm as frustrated as anyone that the season is on the verge of being over in November (again), but EJ has played 5+ games in the NFL. He's looked good and he's looked bad. It's all part of the learning process. Troy Aikman went 1[/s ] 0 -15 11 in his first year. Peyton Manning went 3-13 in his first year. Just because three rookie QBs excelled in their first season last year doesn't mean every rookie QB will do the same. Have patience, people. Fixed. Walsh got the start in that second Skins game. Aikman only QB'd 11 of the L's. Walsh got the other 4 of those as well. Not a biggie and the point still stands.
3. Sure there's a connection. People that eat out a lot at nice restaurants are either single, widowers, or people with a lot of diposable income that send thier children to private schools. You know, the type that typically vote down school budgets. By making them pay more which will ENTIRELY go towards school children ;), then the individual school district tax requests will be lowered and these greedy folks with too much disposable cash will be less likely to vote down the reasonable local tax increases. /sarcasm
4. But it's not fair to only consider the people that signed up via the website. They must have had at LEAST 2 additional people sign up via phone.
5. How beneficial &/or relevant will saying 'exploit Brown and Young' be?
6. According to a 'health care broker' here in NYS, catastophic plans are only available to young adults. At least in NYS, it appears your FiL would have to go to at least a bronze plan. So it would be a lot more expensive than $500/month.
7. So, that's what happened to you growing up? It explains a lot.
8. My understanding of the rule is that on a scoring play or turnover the entire play is automatically reviewed.
9. Wrong. All possession changes and scores are automatically reviewed. If he throws the red flag there, the refs throw a yellow one.
10. Can't challenge after change of possession. Only if Marrone wanted to pick up a flag and lose a TO should he have challlenged.
11. You keep claiming you used to be a republican. Why? Did you really love Rockefeller that much?
12. If the coach called for it, he should be fired on the planeride back home.
13. I saw the thread title and expected it to be about Fred Ex, but couldn't figure out who from the current team he replaced. Making it alltime makes more sense.
14. So no trips to the main board today for you, huh?
15. (Almost) always. That's how most of the new cat toys are found.
16. Don't know. But I'd expect it to be some form of 'it's just a technicality, trust us, you'll love it when you see it; rates will be lower than they were projected to be.'
17. But what there is of one WON'T highlight the reason for the delay, and any R claims of it being proof that the rates are higher than previously advertised will be pooh-poohed as partisan posturing.
18. But the narrative of WHY the rate announcement is delayed will be driven by the WH, not the HoR.
19. You really think the President will allow the rates to be announced 1 month before the midterms?
20. Nobody explained how addressing preexisting conditions would have made a difference for a patient with a preexisting condition?
21.
I know that it's the fans' nature to expect immediate results from players, but the main knock on EJ coming in was that he perhaps was not ready to be an NFL quarterback, and that sitting and learning for a year would be a good move for his development. To me, there's no doubt Bills had that in mind with whichever QB they were going to draft, and I firmly believe their plan was to have Kolb start the year. So I'm hoping that Kolb's injury doesn't derail EJ's progress and now I'm thinking that the mild knee sprain can work to his advantage for next year. EJ has shown flashes, but to me there are still many aspects of the game that need coaching and observing outside game situations. I think this time off will give him the opportunity to slow things down and hopefully refocus on the fundamentals, instead of game day preparation. I don't think that he's had a chance to do that since he arrived. The preseason injury came at a bad time, because you could sense they were trying to rush him back into the line up with Kolb out. If Kolb was not hurt, there's no way that EJ starts the opener. I think the pressure is off him for a couple of weeks. There should be no reason to rush EJ back into the line up now. If Lewis bombs, then the Bills would be out of playoff contention. If Lewis does well, then you can also ease EJ back on a slower schedule. I think over the long term, this mid-season break will work to EJ's favor. Interesting idea. Where I see it as a blessing in disguise is his inability to realize the negative consequence of taking unneccesary hits only cost him ~4 games. He's supposed to be a smart guy. Smart guys learn lessons quickly. If he learned this one, it's probably worth it.
22. If he ever gets to proposing A budget, I suppose he could think about then getting a balanced one out. Baby steps.
23. Too cheap to buy a mulligan for charity?
24. Not surprising that you don't remember something that doesn't jibe with your view of the world. He was pretty consistent in saying he'd be reelected because people are morons.
