  1. I am truly looking forward to the day Littman has no involvement with this team.
  2. I'm awaiting the conspiracy theories that say the CDC shipped Ebola patients to Atlanta so Ebola can break out over here. This being the final straw necessary to goad Repubs into impeaching the President (who would obviously not care for the welfare of the people &/or demonstrate he can't/won't control the executive branch). Thus ensuring Repub defeat at the national level for at least a decade.
  3. 9-7 2nd in division. Just miss 2nd WC. IF they sweep Jest, then they snag last WC.
  4. Damn shame he didn't smoke pot. Pretty sure I read something around here that PROVED pot prevents strangulation; especially in folks pushing 20% of a ton.
  5. Just out of curiosity, there have been many reports of reinforced tunnels in/under Gaza; why no reports of bomb shelters?
  6. Wouldn't it have to be brown or a similar shade?
  7. Could be. Would have to be pretty ballsy to show that much foot.
  8. Sorry 'bout that. Saw you mention the 2 Cleveland games and didn't notice the 3rd game mentioned there. A truly brutal game that very few sat through. The redeeming factor for that game is several of the few I know who watched it were Jints fans.
  9. Though the Bills won, surprised nobody mentioned the '87 Classic 6-3 OT win for the counterfeit Bills over the Giants. No score until the 4th and missed field goals everywhere. The 2 worst scab squads put on one for the ages.
  10. According to Pew's interactive site, it looks like courts made it legal in 8 states and invalidated DOMA; 8 states and DC's legislatures passed laws; and 3 states in 2012 voted for it. It looks like voters in 30 states passed laws againt it with 28 still standing. I'd agree w/ you on your factor 1, but don't buy it for SM w/ only 3 states having the citizens directly vote it in. Though interestingly courts are no longer the majority provider of it. http://www.pewforum.org/2014/06/25/same-sex-marriage-state-by-state/
  11. How many of those 19 states had gay marriage imposed upon them by judges and how many had it voted in directly by the electorate with their 'open eyes?'
  12. You DON'T expect the list to be at least as long as one of your late evening diatribes?!?
  13. Tom, you might want to reconsider compiling the list. By the time you're done it will be much longer than a standard issue OC post.
  14. Mike Williams and Robert Woods.
  15. Which part is ignorant? His pushing for the 80 man roster limit, or his Broncos giving an offer to Smith. Again, I hope his condition doesn't deteriorate and I wish his family well. It's a terrible disease; hopefully it will be cured soon.
  16. While I hope he manages this disease well and we find a cure for it, as a Bills fan, I can't consider him a "great owner." He was the driving force behind the 80 man training camp roster limit to 'keep costs down' and immediately tried to use those savings by signing Bruce Smith to an offer sheet. As a human, prayers go out to him and his family. As an owner, #### him.
  17. It almost seems like a bad skit: 1. Launch non-casualty inducing rockets into Israel. 2. ??? 3. Celebrate running single state in the Holy Land.
  18. Looks like Bret Stephens is on NJ's list now too. From today's print version of WSJ: "All of which, as I say is a blessing for Israel and her supporters. If you must have a nemesis, better it be a stupid one. If your adversary has an undeserved reputation for moderation and sincerity, better that he should give his own extremism and hypocrisy away. If you are going to be the object of mass protests and calumny, better to be hated by the worst than by the best. Israel's enemies continuously indict themselves, whether or not the rest of the world has the wit to see it." The full article is here: http://online.wsj.co...sing-1405380450
  19. You taking about football or soccer now?
  20. Not necessarily, as you have already conceded above.
  21. Putting time back on the clock is clearly in the refs' heads. Personally, I find the way soccer handles the timeclock to be silly, but I follow the game (at least for the WC) well enough to know pretty much how much time will get added and when it's going to end. And when you get right down to it, in either sport you pretty much know when the last play is going to be. Even though the watch may read 0:00 (or 45:00, as the case may be) once that 'last' play starts they both let it run to completion.
  22. ONLY if the play hasn't started, there was no defensive penalty on the play, and there was no touchdown on the play (necessitating an extra point provided you weren't in OT). (There's a couple of more obscure rules that will allow another play as well, but you get the gist.) And you might be at game over prior to 0:00 (realistically) being on the clock due to the 10 second runoff on an offensive penalty w/ clock running under 2 minutes to play. And there's never been a decision to add a second or 2 (or 4) back onto the clock at the end of the game due to the refs deciding the play was dead prior to the clock running out.
  23. Exactly. Her answers are embarrassing, but they'll be old hat in 2 years and anyone pointing out how embarrassing they were will just be piling on and mean spiritedly picking on the girl.
  24. Why are you still getting tats w/out Krit? Aren't all the kids all about Krit now?
