  1. Who was the Bills team president that thought playing home games in another city for $'s was a good idea? Who is the Sabres team president? Why if losing home field advantage for 12.5% of your home games for $'s wasn't a big deal would losing ~2.4% of your home games for $'s AND exposure be a big deal? Thanks, Russ.
  2. You SERIOUSLY believe the media didn't want Mrs Clinton as our current president? If that is true, could you please tell us what color the sky is in your world?
  3. Yep. 'Cause if he doesn't, they're hosed.
  4. Mars bar is best. Snickers 2nd. But my favorite was Mallo Cup. Save the "change" & send it in for free ones!
  5. To pay for health care, which takes up ~17% of the economy, you're going to raise taxes ~2%? Something seems to be missing here.
  6. Well, at least they've got a good shot at a QB next year. After Gilmore walked, they needed a CB this year. So, WR2 replacing Woods in round 2?
  7. One would expect that things that "could never happen" such as Trump beating Hillary would cause some of these professors to rethink their "it's ok to stifle free speech if it's being done for the right reasons" views as whoever is in power will determine just which are the "right reasons." But yet they never seem to get there. It was also kind of surprising (though it probably shouldn't have been) that he believes that suppressing in person free speech is ok because conflicting viewpoints can be found on the internet. Could someone please explian the logic of that?
  8. Your demonstrating your inability to count to 52 occurred years ago? You're worse at telling time than you've initially let on.
  9. It should've made him laugh about 40 times harder. Have to go w/ "about" as, based on his calculation on how many weeks there are in the year, it is very unlikely he can figure out how many times 4 goes into 160.
  10. Season opener in '80. We were up in the nosebleeds & a section of the goalposts made it up to where we were. They wanted to throw it over the back of the stadium but security wouldn't let them, so it just got left up there. Got to touch that post. Saw another section carried by about 10 guys outside the stadium in the concourse. Not sure how they got it out, but they did. The 'let it snow' game. As soon as the snow started to fall, the Fish quit. Shula's last game as a head coach. Tinsdale had the game of his life & everybody was heckling Cox. September 24, 1989 - Bills 47 Eulers 41. 5 TD passes by Kelly. Kelso ended the 1st 1/2 w/ a TD return of a blocked field goal. Reed got whirlibirded on the Houston 2 & held onto the ball. Early in OT Talley forced a fumble by destroying an Euler but the refs blew the play dead for forward progress. Zendejas missed a FG at the end of that drive & Reed scored the game winner on the next drive. Been to some other cool ones, but those were my personal favorites.
  11. Would be surprised if anybody on this board is older than Millbank.
  12. Where do you expect him to find an English-to-pigeon translator?
  13. You're looking for an apology on PPP? Not sure that you're a whiner, but you do seem to be a loon.
  14. That's not surprising. What's surprising is there hasn't been a single 3.5, clown balancing on a board, nor truculent dinosaur reference.
  15. You are comparing quotes from a theoretically unbiased Time magazine w/ a self-professed right wing shill to show media bias works both ways?!?! The use of Hannity as an example works if the initial citation was from Maddow. Otherwise, you are reinforcing the OP's point.
  16. Except the 2nd strawman wasn't even President Obama's. The author claimed that it was either limited quick strike hit or full invasion w/ boots on the ground; but the latter was never his policy. It was always drones or providing air support & "leading from behind." Obama was never going to intentionally put regular ground troops in where they weren't already.
  17. Yes, you'd stated that. And he should not have been suspended for it. (As stated in the post you were responding to. ) He SHOULD have recieved a 5 minute major for the injury inducing slash & the automatic game misconduct that accompanies it. He should NOT have recieved a suspension on top of that. (That he didn't get the 5 & game because the officials were boneheads should not be a reason to give him a suspension. (& yes, we know that is not why you thought he should be suspended. )) There was no intent to injure & it was a normal (though typically illegal) hockey play. That a horrific injury occurred due to seriously bad luck should not make the pkay suspension-worthy. Nor should Ristolainen's hit been suspension-worthy for the same reasoning. We don't see eye-to-eye on this and basically are beating the proverbial deceased equine.
  18. IMHO, Crosby should've recieved a 5 & game for a slash that resulted in an injury. As there was no intent to injure & it was a legit hockey play (note, legit, not legal) there is no cause for supplemental disciple. Intent absolutely factors in on supplemental discipline but there was no intent on the play. It appears we will not agree on this and there is little likelihood either will change the other's opinion, so I will be dropping from this discussion.
  19. So what is your opinion of Crosby not getting suspended for slashing Methot's finger off? Though it wasn't ruled a slash on the ice, it was a textbook slash & resulted a grievous permanent injury. How many games should he have gotten?
  20. Not at all. He WAS held accountable IN THE GAME. He interfered w/ the forward & was going to get 2 minutes. The play resulted in an injury, so the punishment was upped to a 5 & a game. That was the appropriate penalty & it was enforced. He suffered the consequence of his action. The league, quite ridiculously IMHO, bases supplemental discipline on results rather than intent. As Shrader correctly pointed out, the league doesn't add supplemental discipline to many infractions that ARE dirty because there was no injury. There is little consistency in the discipline & in this particular case the punishment far exceeded the crime.
