  1. Can't think of anything worse than losing a child. You and your family have my prayers & condolences. May your Danny find the peace he couldn't find here.
  2. Though we joke that he acts like a 2 or 4 year old, middle school is probably most accurate of pre-, elementary-, middle-, or high schooler.
  3. If the Democrats don't stop throwing their collective hissy fit it is hard to see how any centrist would be able to vote for their candidate regardless of how ridiculous the President ends up. If the economy isn't swirling down the bowl, can't see a scenario where the R's don't gain in the Senate though losses in the House in mid-terms is almost inevitable (though pretty sure 43 gsined seats in '02). If it is swirling & the D's are still behaving like spoiled children, maybe we finally do see a legit 3rd party pop up. Though in the case of the economy being average/bad, I'd more expect to see R gains in the Senate & the house go D.
  4. Link? No idea what you (& likely he, too) mean by the bolded.
  5. Interesting. Common sense like that would go a long way towards explaining why Schumer wants him to be considered an ideological zealot. Don't know much about him, but the little I've read has been very encouraging.
  6. Saw the original Strassel article in Friday's WSJ. If the author of the law is in fact correct on what it states and how it operates there could be a lot of regulations to potentially rollback. And implementing that would go miles towards restoring checks & balances. One definite potential plus in the Trump v Clinton Donald column.
  7. Obviously, the movie would NOT be funny. That wasn't the question. The question was whether Hollywood would explode as if the 6th of 7 seals had been opened were Blazing Saddles pitched w/ the aforementioned performer included in the role of sheriff. If Hollywood survived, somebody might actually make that movie (so hopefully nobody does pitch it); somebody paid for that Ghostbusters remake afterall.
  8. But would it still burn if Amy Shumer (sp?) was cast in Cleavon Little's role?
  9. True. I know grown up, adult people that literally claimed to have laid on their couch for a day after the election too stunned to move. Also, pretty certain that we were supposed to be in a nuclear war started by the Cheeto-dust golem by now.
  10. Well, there'd be debate on it, but considering the person that comes in at #2 is now sitting in the WH, it'd be tough taking the title from her. And if it's strictly "despised" rather than disliked or distrusted, W might win that one. A whole lot of lefties absolutely hated him.
  11. So is Crossman the one who brings the hookers & blow to the coaches meetings? There has to be SOME reason he keeps getting retained, & it surely isn't the play of the special teams.
  12. RIP. Still to this day hate that he was the fall guy for the HRTF. That single move had a huge butterfly effect on this franchise & they STILL haven't recovered from it.
  13. Eh, losing in week 16 isn't as painful (though easily as sickening or worse due to who they lost to (#### the Fish)) as the inevitable (entering 8-7 the loss WOULD've been inevitable, especially when everything else ends up breaking right, just like '04) loss to the Jest would've been.
  14. If not for the Crusades it'd still be a 4 player game w/ each player having ~ 1/2 the pieces?
  15. See, now this is where they need Susan Rice. She got the story straight. AND said it with a straight face to boot.
  16. Let's hope. Otherwise, we won't see another peaceful transition of power for a long time.
  17. Um, Fast & Furious, & IRS targeting conservative groups just for starters. Not sure where you were going w/ the Bin Laden reference. Ambassador Stevens was killed on his watch as well.
  18. Pretty sure it's bound to happen during his presidency. If it doesn't, then good, but that would be surprising.
  19. As it always is. D's opposing R's = principled opposition. R's opposing D's = obstructionism. Just is the way it's always called. Will be interesting to see what happens when Trump proposes items the D's typically support but the R's typically oppose. Still hopeful (though not tremendously) that this presidency sees Congress take back some of their authority.
  20. Well stated.
