Not to mention, can you imagine Josh with Hill and Waddle?

So in your mind, "redo of his contract" means no guaranteed money? Oh, OK. And no matter what you (chose to) believe, McBeane refuse to redo his contract. And thus Brown said no deal. The deal was offered prior to the 2019 draft, when the Bills picked 9th overall. Diggs was acquired the following year for the 22nd (far more palatable) overall pick. It's possible the Bills offered the 2020 pick instead of the 2019 one, but again no confirmation that they offered a 1st.

It will be interesting to see who gets to keep/use the name "Democrat" between the progressives and moderates.

UPDATE: ISRAEL v IRAN - Ceasefire reached?
Doc replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
We disagree about this part but we'll see. -
No link needed. Brown was looking for guaranteed money and that's why he was causing problems in Pgh. McBeane only would trade for him (never saw that they were willing to trade the 9th overall though) if he played under his existing contract, which meant no guaranteed money. It was a smart move on their part and avoided paying anything for a guy who was spent by then.

UPDATE: ISRAEL v IRAN - Ceasefire reached?

I think they've seen what Israel can and is willing to do. They're even calling on SA and Qatar to get Israel to stop bombing them. -
Murdering them. LOL!

UPDATE: ISRAEL v IRAN - Ceasefire reached?

If you saw the interview with Netanyahu among other things (saying Iran was behind the 2 assassination attempts on Trump), he made it sound like Israel either has bunker busters or another way to accomplish it. -
Just an idea...

Minnesota lawmaker assassinated another shot.

Yup. Just like I don't accept "Trump made me break into the Capitol." You know that "personal responsibility" thing Thurmal was talking about... How much do you want to bet? Yes, very odd they'd release the "hit list" but not the manifesto. Is this guy trans or something? -

Look, I'm not the one who blamed someone for a plane falling off aircraft carrier, as if Hegseth was the one towing it out of the hangar ( ) . But if we're doing the blame game, yeah, I'd blame Austin for the billions of dollars of equipment left behind and the 13 dead soldiers in Afghanistan because of the horrible exit plan. And what's your problem with Hegseth's performance so far? That some underlings added an American reporter onto a group chat (and were dismissed)? The mission conducted was a success. Recruiting is up. Is this just complaining to complain? And you believe Hegseth's wife is in meetings. I heard a report that Iran would stop bombing Israel if Israel stopped. I was floored. I think Iran never expected in a million years for Israel to bomb them. But FAFO. -

That's...hilarious. Even if Hegseth were responsible for that (hint: he's not), you want to compare lost military equipment? I don't think so... And don't make me laugh with the "adult conversation" talk and then call Hegseth "Whiskey Pete." You're making a bigger clown out of yourself. More than when you claim you used to be a Republican until Trump. -

Always showing who the true racists are... Anyway, until Hegseth goes AWOL for a week or gets 13 soldiers killed, I'll say that being a general doesn't make you immune from being incompetent. -

I saw a lot of victims of their own decision making the past decade or so. I was told you can't victim shame. At least be consistent. And "personal responsibility"? Like not killing yourself and seeking help instead? -

Maybe we can get Lloyd "AWOL" Austin back... -

I'm not trivializing anything. I always hate to hear about people committing suicide, but I've never accepted "he/she caused me to do it." And I'm not lionizing anyone either. Lots of people breached restricted areas that day and no one else was shot, much less dead. But she was a victim, was she not? -

Sorry but committing suicide shows deep-seated mental illness. And you guys had no problem blaming Ashli Babbitt. -

Cops are trained to be shot at. If getting beaten in a mob is enough to cause them to commit suicide... And there is no way Trump will pardon the shooter. That's just dumbassery. -
If Tre doesn't have it, they could cut him and put him on the PS as a mentor, a la Micah Hyde last year. He'd still get $2.2M plus PS salary and a game check from call-ups.

AB was a nobody after leaving the Steelers. They got the best years out of him. Yeah, "redo the remaining years" meant guaranteed money. Like the Raiders gave him and as a result only had to give up a 3rd and a 5th round pick. And the Raiders were a worse team than the Bills, having come off a 4-12 season so it's not like he spurned the Bills and agreed to sign with the Raiders because they were a good/better team.
-
Right. Brown was so stable in Pgh and afterwards... And he refused because they wouldn't give him guaranteed money and could cut him without repercussions. He agreed to go to Oakland because they did give him guaranteed money.
