Pha and Pgh? I can't say I've ever seen those abbreviations before. Come on Pierre, the common abbreviation for Pittsburgh could not be any more obvious.

And how do the games played work out for the canadian division since it will have one less team? If they play everyone 9 times instead, that would be 54 games. Since everything is played within the division, that doesn't impact the playoffs at all. But are they ok with having less games on tv like that? I'd prefer to leave the schedule balanced within the division, but I'm sure $$$$ will have them adding in the extra 2 games.

The Mandalorian Season 2 - official trailer [ed title]

I thought her lightsabers looked like fluorescent light bulb tubes. -
Directv sent me an email yesterday to let me know that center ice package was about to renew on my account. It's priced at the same number as last year. What a slap in the face. I thought maybe it was just an automated process, but no. If it was, that would have kicked in over a month ago. So I'd love to know who flipped the attempted robbery switch within that company.

They need to kill a couple people in the main cast. It's getting a little too bloated right now. I really don't know who I expect it to be though, maybe June because things never seem to work out well for the medics. And by the way, I can't be the only one who thought "are they seriously going to bring Madison back" when Alicia mentioned going to the stadium.

Are you going to watch Saved by the Bell reboot?
shrader replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in Off the Wall
This implies that Screech ever actually got work outside of this show. I'm not sure "celebrity" boxing counts. -
I had absolutely no clue what was done to that first one. Pretty much like you said, it was just random green stuff. I do have to say that I'm a bit sick of them playing out this ambiguity angle with Strand over and over.

What is the worst ketchup foul you’ve ever witnessed?

You beat me to it. This was my immediate thought. -
Ahhh, right. I just assume it was a random ranger sent to kill him. None of them have any character development at this point, so it'll be left at that, no reveal needed.

Bob Barker's name keeps coming to mind when I think of any long running iconic game show hosts. There's a show that was never the same. But fortunately we didn't lose him and he was able to retire.
-
I'm not sure who you're talking about. Unless they plan on introducing a new character and then later reveal that s/he was the savior, I really don't see any great options. I'd guess the sister at this point, but you pretty much nailed the reason why that one doesn't work all that well. Plus they just did a nuclear fallout story last year. They need to branch out a little more. My one guess for the season as a whole is that they're going to end the half season with the reveal that Morgan's girlfriend is dead, pushing him even further back towards his insanity days. He's going to absolutely massacre Ginny.

I'll give them time to screw it up. I don't trust the writers on this show. So right now we have two main mysteries out there: 1) who saved Morgan and 2) what the key opens. I expect something very cheesy for at least one of those.

Morgan found his balls... that and still no trucker twins
-
I guess that would work, but I really wish they’d retire the show.

I bet Sherry’s with this new group

Trebek and Sean Connery in the same week. I wonder if SNL can throw together a tribute celebrity jeopardy.

I really hope that Walkers is a British offshoot of Frito Lay because if not, they blatantly ripped off the Lay's logo. Edit: Google tells me that they are.

Since they haven't been mentioned yet, I usually go for the salt and vinegar. It doesn't matter too much which brand it is, but it's usually the lesser known local ones that work out best. They have this specific kind in the kitchen area of my office that is incredibly good. But since I haven't been to that place in ages, I don't remember the name.

yeah, that show had a big time jump just to line up with Morgan showing up. Then the main show went and jumped way past them. Given the helicopter stuff, they obviously want to tie it in. I guess that will only line up with the Rick movies and never the main show. Rick’s probably still in the same timeframe as Fear.

It’s been better than the last two seasons anyway. I think it’s because we haven’t seen the trucker twins yet. And the new show got me thinking yesterday. How did Morgan, Dwight, and Sherry go about crossing the Mississippi? I’m also wondering how all the timelines match up. Fear definitely hasn’t had anything to match the 7 or so year jump on the main show.

It's not new thread worthy, but since this is a hockey thread, I'll post it here. Travis Roy died yesterday. The name may not ring a bell but you probably remember the story. Roy broke his neck seconds into his first shift as a freshman at BU. It was almost exactly 25 years ago. As a BU graduate, an athletic department employee, and a many year season ticket holder, I'd have to say he was probably the most beloved person around that building.

Not that it matters at this point, but the arbitrator can pick any number in between the two offers. I'd be curious to see if an NHL arbitrator has ever set the contract at either side's asking point. I'm guessing no. But anyway, specifically with Olofsson, I'd have a hard time picturing the arbitration go towards his number seeing as how he doesn't even have a full season of NHL hockey under his belt. People get it mixed up with baseball too much, where the arbitrator picks either the team's number or the player's.

I flew through the first two seasons of The Boys over the last couple weeks. Now that's a fun show. As a side note, I love that they ran with the aquaman is lame jokes. -
I have to say, it's really funny seeing this thread immediately followed up by "Golly - what could possibly go wrong?" on the list of OTW threads.

I thought it wrapped up a little too easily, but the new show stumbling into a wolf den was a unique situation for these shows.
