  1. Allen on our 2014 squad and that team might actually go 21-0 But the best of our drought vs any team with Allen would lose to Josh and crew because our drought QBs were just that bad.
  2. Agreed on the summer part. And I mostly agree with your general philosophy. But I think a Super Bowl win would provide most Bills fans with such a relief of pent up pressure that we'd experience the same thing I saw in a lot of my UGA Bulldog fan friends after they won their recent championships - which was an almost complete disconnect the next year. I know I, personally, could use a "year off". And having that win in your pocket makes it easy to cruise through the next season with no pressure and very little care to how it plays out. Coming off a Bills Super Bowl victory, I know I could sit back and watch every game the following season with a "that's fine" attitude no matter what happens. JMO
  3. I took a little google tour around the block and there are PLENTY such options in the area.
  4. Yeah, it was funny how his camp worded it. Thats why I provided the google maps street view of exactly where it happened. Nothing good is happening there after midnight.
  5. Yes. We lived through 20 lousy years with nothing to show for it already. Folks older than me lived through 10-20 lousy years before that as well, again with nothing to show for it. We had great years... with nothing to show for it. At this point, the monkey on our back is a SB win. That is the relief valve for build up of 30-40 lousy seasons. The Jets SB was 60 years ago. Not 5. Worked for the Rams. Buccaneer fans arent hurting. And we'll never be really lousy as long as we have Josh. And even as a McD critic, we'd never go under .500 with him around either. But if that was the monkey paw trade offer, I'll take 5 lousy years if it meant 1 Lombardi. I'd be shocked if most Bills fans dont feel the same way.
  6. 2 SB appearances and already at least 1 Lombardi negates any of that. Give me a Bills SB win and this team can go 2-15 the next 5 years for all I care.
  7. It was already kinda out. The internet had been buzzing this week with rumors and rumblings that something definitely happened and everyone was speculating on the severity. The longer it went, the worse the expectations got. I had seen chatter that he lost his eye completely. I guess this is their way of addressing and downplaying it.
  8. "The mishap happened about 12:20 a.m. July 5, in the 2200 block of Spanos Street, and injured more than one person." https://maps.app.goo.gl/AiY3Z6wFTcgFxuj87 Dude is in the projects behind Lowe's shooting off fireworks after midnight. Not sure there is anyone else to sue but himself.
  9. Yeah, we'll likely follow our daughter, and we have some time considering she's only 6. However, her current top 2 places to live when she gets older are Buffalo (thanks to her cousins) and the planet Mars. Even though I've sworn off winters as well, looks like I have some cold temps in my future either way!
  10. We're far away from that being a real concern. Look at the Eagles spending. Look at how much the cap has been going up YoY with streaming taking hold. Additionally, it doesnt look like Beane/Brady are looking to bring in a #1 WR that commands $30M+/year, nor do we have any young WR that will command as much anytime soon, so that opens 2 more spots at $15M/yr (Cook and McGovern for example). If we need to "skimp" at other spots like TE and not paying Knox $10-15M/yr, or #4 WR and not paying Curtis Samuel $8-10M/yr for his non-contributions, then so be it.
  11. I'm too lazy to look it up right now, but what are the comparable numbers? How many sacks did we have as a team last year? How many sacks did the top 2-3 teams have?
  12. I want to believe... but 8.5 for Bosa seems much higher than my expectations.
  13. I think the obvious point is that they talked to the Dolphins and the Dolphins arent willing to pay his son so they are already off the list, hence the bad-mouthing. To take it a step further, I could also see the Dolphins being so disorganized and dysfunctional that the Samuel camp feels they got treated poorly, lied to, and jerked around.
  14. Same issue as Benford and CBs. There are just too many WRs to name ahead of him.
  15. I'm not sure Benford is even considered the best CB on the TEAM given that Taron Johnson has had recent All-Pro honors, making the 2nd team last year. There are just so many CBs to choose from in this league, and a bunch of others get highlighted more with the amount of man they play.
  16. The problem with all of this is you left out the real source of all toxicity and dysfunction: the owner, Stephen Ross. And even better for Bills fans, nothing will change until the owner changes, and we all know owners dont just sell and walk away. He's riding this out.
  17. I dont think the Dolphins got any picks. Internal promotions dont count. It's if you lose a POC to a GM/HC spot on another team. That's how the 9ers got picks for McDaniel and others. It's a good rule, along with the Rooney rule. Incentivizes expanding the candidate pool outside of the good ol boy nepotism network and opens doors without requiring giving jobs to lesser candidates. We currently have potential possibilities in Terrance Grey and Malik Boyd.
  18. I'm not sure how much his scheme and design work anymore since they outlawed the motion he was using. Agreed he will latch back on as an OC somewhere (probably back to SF) and have success.
  19. Marv levy was a 5'9" bookworm nerd that recited too many poems with too many big words, but players would run through walls for him.
  20. When we know what is coming, we have players/talent that can make plays. The problem is when coaching and scheme are involved it becomes a total crap shoot. Too many players saying "we never saw that on tape" or "we werent ready for that" after the game.
  21. I dont think it's his "looks". There have been plenty of "twerpy" coaches that players love and respect. But it's more his demeanor. That cool guy/joking/"for the memes" schtick only works when you are winning. The second adversity hits, it falls apart. And there is lots of adversity in the NFL for every team. Yeah, Flores had an owner and GM who were actively tanking as opposed to going all-in with McDaniel. Yet the records are the same...
  22. I'm wondering if the "Mike McDaniel is a pushover, Chris Grier, the GM, has no backbone" is because they hyped up Jr's agent with how much they'd love to have him but then low-balled Samuel's camp and told them they cant offer more because the owner doesnt want to spend. Which would be due to Ross knowing he's going to fire both of them at the end of the season and doesnt want them locking in any expensive long-term deals.
  23. “They’re sensitive, there’s no leadership in the org. Mike McDaniel is a pushover, Chris Grier, the GM, has no backbone. They’re running this team like a Little League team.” Tough to disagree! Now, I believe this most likely stems from the Dolphins either indicating they arent interested in signing Jr., or that their offer was incredibly lower than what the Samuel camp was expecting. But always good to hear such things about Division rivals.
  24. I'm obviously being a bit hyperbolic. I get the need. I just dont see it as big of a deal as so many other posters/fans who want to overly criticize him on it, since we can work around it in others ways.
