I'm pretty sure we literally cant deny a promotion interview. Only laterals can be denied IIRC.

He'll take the interview, as he should. The practice and experience of sitting in as many interviews as possible is invaluable. It's what most short-sighted haters miss about the Rooney rule. The interviews are valuable no matter what.

I believe the Jets will end up with Aaron Glenn, DC of Lions. That is the only type of HC candidate they can seriously attract. A Defensive coach who is getting a bigger opportunity than he probably deserves right now. Either that or Chan Gailey might be available.

They have to wait to get him into the building anyways. Totally agreed there should be a hiring freeze until after the Super Bowl.

That leaves 3 without many other candidates out there, and Brady has strong ties to the Saints.

Take the interview for practice and to drive the price up on the Saints. But dang, I'm reminded that we again have to deal with this crap while trying to make a playoff run. The league needs to fix this and allow coordinators to stay focused until the season is over.

Ownership may have wanted the #1 pick, but not sure how you can make that happen unless you give your Coaching staff an absolute guarantee of their return, which they obviously didnt have. Coaches and Players are going to try to win no matter what. Kraft shouldve fired Mayo last week if that is what he wanted.

Hamlin. It's McD. No way does he start a rookie in the playoffs. Especially a rookie at the Safety position. Heck, I'd assume he would start Hyde over Bishop in the playoffs if it came down to it.

The Bills will still pay him. He took a big pay cut coming into the season. He's a vet/leader the FO wanted for a while and love having on the team. They'll cut him that check even if the stat gets changed. And then hopefully cut him in the Spring.

This is a good and smart plan for the organization, but I'd be surprised if they actually pull that since it would be a major screw-job on the player who was the good soldier, did everything he was asked, and just got you 14 wins. Not sure it's worth the bad karma with the players.

Browns, Jets, and Panthers are complete dumpster-fire organizations. This year just confirms that. Happy for both Baker and Darnold, especially Darnold. Great to see such resiliency nowadays.
