  1. LETS GOOOOOO!!! Great to have our FUTURE HALL OF FAMER leading the charge!
  2. I cant buy it. No way an NFL ref went over to an individual player and APOLOGIZED or took ANY accountability at all for a bad/missed call, let alone in the middle of a game. If/when that ever happens, it's a discussion with the head coach. If a ref is talking directly to a player, it's about keeping the player's behavior in check. I think all the niceties you point out were just the Ref's way of keeping his admonishment buddy-buddy. Much like the moment in The Office after Michael kicks everyone out of the office and tells Stanley "You dont respect me, fine. I accept that. But listen to me. You can't talk to me that way in this office, you just can't. I am your boss."
  3. Watching (former Cowboys HC) Jimmy Johnson on Fox and ( former Cowboys HC)Jason Garrett on NBC talk about (former Cowboys DC) Dan Quinn winning with the Commanders and (former Cowboys OC) Kellen Moore winning with the Eagles must've drove Jerry CRAZY last night. You love to see it.
  4. Lot of chatter about Tomlin possibly being done in Pittsburgh and Dallas being his landing spot...
  5. Terry Pegula is the perfect case study on Sports Team Ownership. With the Sabres - He fancied himself a "hockey guy" who knows hockey. He bought the team as a hockey fan in order to be an active participant in the sport. He wanted to contribute to the decision making. With the Bills - He was thrust into buying the team and quickly realized he didnt know anything about football or the NFL, and was in over his head. So he hired real football guys and got out of their way. One team is a pathetic joke and basement dweller. One team is now a top-5 organization with a legit shot at the championship every year.
  6. Yeah, mid-00s is 20 years ago. A big knock on the Cowboys this year was how out-dated and predictable their Offense was. Relies too much on players executing perfectly, and doesnt help them or scheme anyone open. Much like Dorsey's. No thanks.
  7. Does the first game even tell us anything when this was our sideline:
  8. Please go to New Orleans so they can leave Joe Brady alone.
  9. You joke, but I can almost guarantee it was much closer to that than any kind of apology.
  10. Step normally around him. Not big stepping right over him. He absolutely meant to start taunting him as he got up. And that is ok. But also no ticky-tack holding calls against us, and no flagging Dion for blatantly illegally pulling/carrying the RB. I'm fine with the refs allowing contact as long as they are letting the guys play through everything else.
  11. There were a bunch of bad ones. There was one I specifically remember where Ty Johnson got a short yardage 1st down and they spotted it a full yard back. They were all over the place with spots yesterday. Ehh, the refs need to stop it from getting too chippy. What Mack did was illegal and worth a flag. I dont mind him doing it or getting the flag, we need to have more of that attitude on the field. But it is a penalty by the book and will get called, especially in a game where tempers are already flaring.
  12. I can see that chest pat being a "I have a job to do and you cant talk to us refs like that or else I'll have to throw a flag" More of a friendly "Dont make me call a penalty on you"
  13. Definitely was NOT an apology. Eff the Refs. Although I do appreciate them keeping the flags in their pockets for the most part yesterday. As long as they are going to let contact go on both sides then I dont mind.
  14. 3/$24M, if we're lucky A far cry from the $3M/yr I was talking at the beginning of the thread. But he's proven he's a big time playmaker and valuable to Josh. I think his best days are still ahead of him too. He's getting stronger while not losing any speed. He's 25 now, under contract next year. A 3 year extension would keep him through his prime.
  15. Yeah man, and I'm not even complaining (that much lol). McD had me frustrated at times today, but good win. On to the Ravens.
  16. Sure, it wasnt a problem. This time.
  17. 3. Being asleep at the wheel for the fake punt when the whole world knows Payton loves doing that stuff is another one. 4. And luckily Coach Upright stepped in and made a big stop at the end of the 1st half after our Defense went into some weird prevent(?) D that let the Broncos and rookie QB march right down the field in their 2min drill, in like 5 plays.
  18. Time Outs should be almost always saved for Offense and ball control/clock management. If you are taking a defensive time out it's because you are surprised in a mistake you shouldnt have made in the first place. This isnt just a "criticism of McD" as much as a general rule of thumb.
  19. Pretty much what I expected when I predicted a 33-17 Bills win. A dominant win thanks to Josh and our talent. And the usual playoff coaching woes but not enough of them to completely negate the players. We'll continue to be a second half team. Which is good I guess since that is when the game ends...
  20. Bummer. This is the first offseason move any of our bumbling divisional rivals has made in the past 3-4 years that is actually a step in the right direction. He is the anti-McDermott, in a good way for football. Luckily, we still greatly out match them talent-wise so Josh should be able to cover for us. For now.
  21. 2 articles in a row! Looks like Bills PR has been working overtime on this topic this year. But really, the only thing that will change a lot of perceptions and mindsets is simply winning. We all know he's a great guy. That's not what the chatter is about. Dont botch it on coaching decisions in the playoffs, and win a Super Bowl, and then the legacy writes itself.
  22. Dont even carry a QB. Just ask whoever they are playing if they can use their QB as full time QB.
  23. Good. I want a pissed off, fueled up Allen for the playoffs. And then when they snub him on the MVP, he'll go nuclear on whoever we face in the Super Bowl. Only MVP that matters is Super Bowl MVP
