  1. I think you’re overestimating him in College. He had a good soph season but in his junior season he couldn’t tackle anyone and has always been incredibly grabby at Florida. He didn’t excel in man his junior season and was never a good zone corner further showing his weaknesses when he got to the Bills. He was drafted on tools like size and speed and lineage more than his tape. He was the anti Tre White who didn’t have physical traits but great tape and excellent fit.
  2. I figured if he was of interest to Buffalo they would have asked for him in the Diggs trade. I know Day 3 picks are considered whatever but under this regime they have made some really good Day 3 picks
  3. He wants an extension thats the reason why he wants to be traded. I highly doubt someone is going to take him on without paying him.
  4. I've never been high on Elam but Jones is looking for a high paid extension on top of being traded so for that reason I would say no to the deal. Milano can't be cut really until 2026 so we don't need two large LB contracts.
  5. I agree on all of these points. Could someone scoop up Andreessen on a bad team and develop him at the back end of the roster while playing ST's sure I guess. I guess Buffalo can do that as well but Gore isn't getting claimed. Every year there is either a RB or WR that Bills fans love in the preseason and think is going to get claimed and doesn't.
  6. Eli Harold, what a win for Beane there.
  7. Yea that only move I can even recall off the top of my head was the trade for Ryan Bates. I'm sure there is another trade he made where he acquired a guy at cutdown but its very rare someone is coming in.
  8. Because they need another veteran in the room. They won’t feel comfortable playing Andreessen and Ulofoshio in real games, Williams is not proven yet, and Spector is hurt. I’ve said it in numerous other posts that it wouldn’t surprise me if they sign a vet. I can’t project who they will pick up so Morrow fits that role as of now
  9. Out of the names that have surfaced so far, i'd be most interested in Dillon Johnson the RB from Washington who was cut by Carolina for a PS spot. Not advocating for Tommy Sweeney but if they need a 3rd TE there is some familiarity there with him and could see the Bills bringing him in to the PS or 3rd TE spot
  10. If DiNucci makes the team it will be for one day until they can agree on a contract with a different QB.
  11. Yup I got ya I read through the verbiage and admitted I was wrong unlike in years past where there was no 2 IR return spots hence IR ing a young guy before the season to protect losing them
  12. Yea I hear ya. I think you can get around Trubisky or really any of them besides Milano by rostering them and making them inactive and calling up guys from the PS for 2-3 weeks instead of IRing them for an auto 4 weeks. Maybe they cut Ferguson and give him a contract extension by doing it since he’s a FA after the year. Like do me a solid and we’ll do you a solid type thing
  13. So it appears you’re right after looking at the verbiage but I wouldn’t expect MVS to want to do that. Maybe Morris would , I would think Spector they wouldn’t want to do. I also wonder out loud how much if they did IR a Spector or Morris for the year how that affects their years of service and Free Agency purposes. Might not at all but curious is all especially since Morris was undrafted
  14. We don’t even know if Spector is going to be out for the beginning of the season. Morrow would be the backup MLB. If for whatever reason Spector goes to IR I expect them to bring on a vet from another roster
  15. The problem is if you IR a 3rd person it’s for the season. That’s typically why they’ve IRd young guys.
  16. It is 8 but only during the regular season. The Bills can only designate 2 at 53 cutdowns
  17. Spector isn’t getting cut. Core ST who’s a veteran and knows the system . The Bills need the depth with Milano out. I’m not hating on the idea of Andreessen I had him on the roster after the 2nd preseason game but when breaking it down if he makes it he’ll be probably the last guy.
  18. The point was Andreessen isn’t making it over Ulofoshio. If they keep 6 can he make it sure. If someone goes to IR from the LB corps can he make it possible but less likely imo. His best path to be honest is if they decide to keep 9 DL or trade a DB but all 11 DBs are more valuable than keeping Andreessen at this point
  19. Deion Jones was already cut and the posters point was If Spector goes on IR. So my whole post and point still stands
  20. While this is possible and feasible. If Spector goes to IR their depth chart is then Bernard and Williams with two rookies who have never played an NFL game including one of the rookies being undrafted and the other a 5th round pick who was injured during cap. The veteran would be Morrow who also was injured and would be the primary backup. That’s not ideal. If they IR Spector, I would think they are going to sign a veteran LB to the 53 man.
  21. Deion Jones has been awful that is not surprising and I don’t think it’s an indicator that Andreessen is being kept
  22. Yes 6th and 7th Rounders they have cut, Ulofoshio was a 5th round pick. Don't be blinded by the hometown hero hype and look at it from an organizational perspective. Ulofoshio would be claimed, I'm not sure Andreessen would be especially if they offered him a PS spot since hes from Buffalo .
  23. The only way Andreessen is safe is if they decide to keep him as a 6th LB or if they are going to keep him over Ulofoshio which I have a hard time believing since he was a draft pick.
  24. I understand what your saying but I'm not going project waiver claims and trades etc outside of a clear glut of secondary players. It seems we're on the same page I have 24 offensive players and 26 players on defense plus the 3 specialists. I agree with the idea of Ferguson being cut and keeping someone to put on IR but I question who that person is that they want to keep on the 53 who they want to put on season ending IR that they fear would be scooped up by another team. I dont know maybe you have a guy or two in your thought process.
  25. My Last 53 Man Projection QB- Allen, Trubisky (2) Cut: Anthony Brown, Ben Dinucci RB- Cook, Davis, Johnson (3) Cut- Evans(Season IR), Gore Jr FB- Gilliam (1) WR- Shakir, Coleman, Hollins, Samuel, MVS (5) Cut: Isabella, Cain, Byrd, Shorter, Johnson TE: Kincaid, Knox, McKitty (3) Cut: Davidson OL- Dawkins, Edwards, McGovern, Torrence, Brown, Anderson, Van Pran, Grable, VandeMark, Collins (10) Cut: Clayton, Britton, Mike Edwards, Jarvis, Bills, DE- Rousseau, Miller, Epenesa, Smoot, Solomon, Jonathon (6) Cut: Cline, Bothroyd, Toohill DT- Oliver, Jones, Johnson, Carter (4) Cut: Dean, Ankou, Stevenson LB- Bernard, Williams, Spector, Morrow, Ulofoshio (5) Cut: Simon, Jones CB- Douglas, Benford, Elam, Ingram, Johnson, Hardy (6) Cut: Couch, Brown, Lovely SAF- Rapp, Edwards, Hamlin, Bishop, Lewis (5) Cut: Williamson, Burgess, Delaney, Jackson K-Bass P- Martin LS- Ferguson (3) IR with return- Milano, Morris I try to put in the locks first to see where I'm at in the roster and had 50 but the last 3 spots were incredibly hard. I also believe they will go with an initial 11 guys in the secondary but I can't see them maintaining that all season which leads me to believe there is going to be a trade of a Safety at some point. Obviously Rapp and Bishop will not be going so at some point one of Hamlin, Lewis, or Edwards is going to be traded in my opinion. The last spots really came down to positions. The last 3 guys I added were McKitty, Collins, and Jonathon. The Bills are going to add a 3rd TE whether that is putting Morris in the 3rd spot even injured or going Davidson, McKitty. I went with McKitty because he is more of a blocker as well as a pass threat. I then went with Collins because his contract is guaranteed and will be a veteran presence if anything to help school the younger guys around him. That spot will come down to a 10th lineman, or a 6th WR. Just don't see a 6th WR worth keeping at this point who couldn't be stashed on the PS. The other spot came down to keeping a 6th DE(Jonathon) or a 5th DT(Williams) vs a 6th LB(Andreessen). I thought long and hard about this as its risky going with 5 LB's especially with Morrow and Spector hurt and their only backup being Ulofoshio who was also injured and a rookie. I think they keep Andreessen on the PS and call him up for the first couple of games to make sure they are covered there. The Bills have traditionally kept 10 DL so that is why I ended up at Jonathon. They can roster Trubisky and sign a QB to the Practice Squad whether Dinucci or another Veteran and use his callups at the beginning of the season as well.
