  1. Ozy, You don't know how much I'm enjoying this game and the twitter "scouts" eating crow who don't know coaching when they see it!
  2. Doesn't look like the Bills practice tempo has hurt the players...
  3. So him being able to talk to them during... 1) The combine 2) Pro Days 3) Visits to the Bills Facility, where he can put them through paces as well Aren't enough? Just these three days huh? Gotcha.
  4. You do realize the other defensive coaches have them in the rooms AND they're filming every aspect of this for themselves and the rest of the NFL - and I'm not talking about the NFL Network footage, I'm talking about how every team uses the lifts to tape every aspect of their practices?
  5. And the Bears run the oft-maligned Tampa 2 in bad weather...
  6. While they are two separate offenses, both feature the midline and midline veer, which were what Oregon was using to option the 3 tech. The problem was the QB making horrendous reads on it and Fairley being a big ole angry man.
  7. If you look at most coaching staffs, there is a strong incestuous relationship between the coaches. Because the hire/fire rate is as bad as it is, many will just surround themselves with people they know. Moreso in an environment where the coach has a specific focus. There are some exceptions, such as the Steelers with Tomlin. For a great example, take a look at the Eagles and Packers coaches and how well they know A) Andy Reid or B) Mike Holmgren.
  8. Bengals coach North Team. It goes by (if mem serves) worst record with a team that A) has a staff and B) wants to coach it. If you go on http://www.seniorbowl.com/oldrosters.asp you can read their pressers after every draft to see how many staffs use this as a tool while coaching the kids and "smelling their breath" as buddy says.

  10. If he can bring Hue Jackson, most definitely!
  11. I think for the batted balls, the biggest issue for Fitz (especially for the wr / te screens) is the end man, typically the tackle, on those quick passes has to either cut the defender to keep their hands down or widen them out to give him a window to throw into. For Fitz's end of the bargain, he has to either get out of the pocket for those throws or just time em a second quicker. That's just my humble opinion, so take it as you will!
  12. I remember those posts. And all he's done since his departure to Washington is get lauded for being a still solid MLB as well as a great mentor to Orakpo and the younger defenders. I miss Fletch.
  13. As a friend pointed out to me, though he deserves the suspension, Steelers vs Ravens is uber hyped for Sun night. Would they really suspend him for that after hitting "the bills?"
  14. And Moats got hurt at some point toward the end of the 4th, so he was gimpy the rest of the game. Game of inches to be sure.
  15. If Boise State played Ohio State's schedule, their SOS jumps from 68 to 59. As long as the big boys don't want Boise or TCU at their dance, they will constantly have to do everything half-again better than them.
  16. They are also doing urine analysis to see if he was impaired by something other than alcohol. Since he failed his field sobriety test, that was a justifiable next step. SCRATCH THAT. According to the Bucs (via Adam Schefter on Twitter) they've said Williams volunteered for the urine test to prove he was innocent. He was pulled over for driving 12 mph over the speed limit.
  17. As the game goes on, notice the complementary routes that Roscoe and Lee are running - whenever one is going underneath, the other goes a little deeper and opposite (Lee's slant, Roscoe's score)
  18. Good Rumblings Post on Maybin I read this a few minutes ago and felt it may add a little to the debate...
  19. 4 games for failing two drug tests in a year essentially.
  20. Spiller started up middle off right guard, ducked away from raheem brock in backfield, went up the middle running by db and then ran for left sideline, ducking back toward middle of field for 31 yard td.
  21. If you don't get one, odds are if you show up and wait at the gate, ushers will have extras as well. I'm in the same boat friday and that's been the usual situation @ night practice...
  22. Apparently Albert is the only person to have been timed for this. Everyone else did it as part of the offseason conditioning. So really, despite losing 35 pounds on his own and showing up in solid shape, he's being "humiliated" Link
  23. Seems like they wanted to set him up to fail to "show" him.
