  1. Interesting. Just looked up Zach Evans profile. Adding him to the names to look out for.
  2. He might be the pick. The folks I trust on this board are not high on him. In general, I am for upgrading the oline, so naturally I hope it works out well if that is how the draft unfolds. My critique of Campbell's mock involves the various choices as a whole. I can see DT early, but not back-to-back. This is a draft with superior TE talent and the Bills have had a few in for visits, so I think it disappointing he has no TEs or WRs among our selections.
  3. Have you looked at Campbell's most recent mock? Don't like it. O'Cyrus Torrence G, Gervon Dexter DT, Zacch Pickens DT, Tre'Vius Hodges-Tomlinson CB, Ryan Hayes OT, Ivan Pace, Jr LB Torrence is not a fit for Kromer and Campbell admits Torrence is a sloppy body type, then two DTs and a CB. No WR or TE, not one offensive weapon.
  4. You trying to trigger folks? No defensive picks is metaphysically impossible with Beane and Co. Don't think Bergeron makes it to 59. Mingo might go in the second. None of them are bad picks in isolation.
  5. I broached the subject. Apparently no one is interested.
  6. I love Bergeron, but not so much at 27.
  7. That seems a credible point regarding dump-offs and short slot routes. But then I think if you have two rbs on the field a lot, you might want to run the ball and I'm back to thinking they need a better oline. Really, whatever base formation they decide on they need to spend some early draft resources up front. If not in the first, there are second and third round folks (Bergeron, Mauch, Avila, Schmitz, Duncan, and Steen just off the top of my head) that ought to be considered. Pretty sure you agree on the oline if I recall past posts correctly.
  8. You can't draft positions. This is lazy. Name names or you forfeit the meaningless game. Campbell might be there at 59. I probably wouldn't take him then. I'm not worried about LB. If I were, I'd take Trenton Simpson ahead of him.
  9. I think they would trade up for Addison, though probably not at the price it would take to get to #20.
  10. If I am reading the conventional trade value chart correctly, if the Bills wanted to get to #20, 27, 91, and 137 is a slight overpay. Assuming the Seahawks were even interested, I'm not sure Beane would be willing to pay that price given he only has six picks. I rather doubt it, though there is at least one player still on the board I think they would trade up to acquire.
  11. I think it would have to involve a qb, maybe Hendon Hooker?
  12. Sort of available is often just as bad as not available.
  13. Aside from the vulgar commode comparison, it also suggests an old style collar. All you need is a tie. Not a great look, but I don't think it justifies nostalgia for the red helmets. (I prefer nostalgia for the standing buffalo.)
  14. That would be interesting. However, it seems to me if you are going that direction, you better have a solid oline and I'm dubious we qualify yet even if one is optimistic about the FA signings at guard. (I've been imagining 12 personnel with a player like Washington aiding the oline with his superior blocking.)
  15. Probably. The NHL relies much more on revenue from the playoffs and the Sabres have missed for a record twelve straight years. Folks are skeptical about optimism about the team, but they really do have a terrific young core with a stacked group of prospects. They need to bring in a few solid veteran D and maybe a veteran goalie to pair with Levi, but playoffs should happen next year. They are poised to be good for a long stretch, so the financials will improve as the fans return.
  16. He'll now bring up the onerous inheritance tax, though there are high priced lawyers to negotiate how to accommodate that hurdle. As well, if there is a change in the administration in 2024, the punitive inheritance tax will probably be greatly reduced.
  17. That fella is one of the astute ones.
  18. Good chance he goes in the second now.
  19. The discussion strayed from the initial subject. You are free to pass over material you find uninteresting.
  20. Maybe they'll trade him to us
  21. @BADOLBILZ is going to write you an angry, condescending letter. Or rather, he's just going to laugh at you, but I think in this case it's a good pick. Give the Texans' fans something worth watching.
  22. Musgrave can't keep his feet. If they don't go with one of the top four, Tucker Kraft or Schoonmaker are midround TEs worth looking at. Kraft may go earlier, I guess. I think Kincaid should be thought of as a multi-purpose weapon, so I don't confine him to ordinary TE paradigms. If they do the 27 to 34 switch with AZ to pick up Hopkins, I am thinking about Josh Downs at 34. That would be a dynamic Wr room. I'm not discounting the injury to Josh. I talked about it a lot some months back. It likely did severely limit playcalling, but I still think Dorsey went through growing pains and that he has to do better.
  23. All this speculation about 12 personnel is just another term for the 2 TE set.
  24. Quite a few visits with TE on the Bills 30. I don't think that means they are just looking for a better backup to Knox. I expect at minimum increased use of 12 personnel in the RZ. You think the mid-season lull was fixed by remembering Knox. That is certainly a start. What wasn't fixed: the bad oline, the poor results with slot receiver necessitating picking Beasely up off the scrap heap, Davis dropping too many crucial passes possibly necessitating bringing in Brown off the scrap heap, sporadic use of the run game without integrating it into a coherent offensive attack, a seeming inability to use the pass catching abilities of Cook and Hines, etc. So, in sum, I am not comfortable simply running it back. Dorsey will have to show significant growth as OC for me and I personally surmise more use of 12 personnel would be a sound development. Aside from adding another better than average TE, I wouldn't mind Josh Downs. He's going to be a superlative slot. Downs and Hopkins would be a home run, but then they still need to bring in more oline help because it is madness to count on Spencer Brown to be an anchor or even moderately competent, though naturally I hope he has a terrific bounce back year.
