  1. I've got you under my skin I've got you deep in the heart of me So deep in my heart that you're really a part of me I've got you under my skin I'd tried so not to give in I said to myself, "This affair never will go so well" But why should I try to resist when baby, I know so well I've got you under my skin
  2. May God bless your dad, you, and your entire family and may he provide solace in this time of stress.
  3. Every receiver on this team would play better if Josh had more blocking.
  4. You think and often post as a draftnik which is great and even much appreciated. The thing is, selections like McKelvin and Whitner would get you fired in the NFL. Do tell me, what difference does it make if a player is "good" when you are losing football games? As a GM or head coach trying of course to win football games, the only real goal should be to bring in players who will win you said football games. Between McKelvin and Whitner, how many games did they in fact win for us? Now, think of players such as Josh, Bruce, Kelly and Andre. These players were/are winners. Again, inept management (Levy/Jauron for instance) said no to drafting great players to draft the likes of Whitner/McKelvin (yes I know that Levy didn't draft McKelvin) and use huge amounts of cap space to do so. We can dance around with semantics if you choose to do so but in terms of winning football games (the ultimate goal), the above mentioned players were busts, as were most of the players mentioned in this thread.
  5. Surf's up Aboard a tidal wave Come about hard and join the young and often spring you gave I heard the word Wonderful thing A children's song
  6. When I decide who I think is a bust, I take into consideration who we passed on in order to select a player. When the Bills drafted Leodis McKelvin, they passed on 2 great offensive linemen (that were desperately needed) who were selected immediately after our blunder of a pick. McKelvin wasn't that bad of a player. He would have been a fairly good 4th round pick. Donte Whitner wasn't a horrible player either, but he cost the Bills more than 36 million dollars in pure cap cost (quite a hit in 2006) and again, we passed up on several better players and many offers to trade down. I would classify both players as busts, but of course this is jmo.
  7. OK, I'll say it.........Rob Johnson I saw him play once when he was in college, and I caught an NFL game he was in before we traded for him. I was impressed by his size, accuracy, arm strength, and ability to run. RJ had everything.....except a head for the game. Even after it was apparent that he would never amount to much (to be kind), I was waiting in the back of my mind for RJ to step up one day and to watch his tremendous skillset take over. Obviously this never happened. The scouts seemed to know about RJ before we did. Iirc, he was the 1st pick of round 4. One would think that a QB with his talent would be selected FAR earlier. RJ made me rate QBs in a different way today. Let's see how Anthony Richardson fares in the NFL. He has all the talent in the world but does he have a feel for the game? I know I wouldn't touch him if I were a GM.

  15. Q) What has 8 legs and does NOT molest kids? Ans.) The Jackson 4.
  16. Ya think? When we took RB Magahee in round 1 he was all but crippled. We had to wait more than a full season for him to play, and this behind an OL that sucked. Eric Steinbach was sitting there waiting for the Bills to draft. He of course wound up being a great LG for many years and was able to fill in at LT in a pinch. This is something that I would expect from McDermott, the true power in the Bills management. In the same circumstance McDermott would also certainly pass on the blocker but would go for a defensive back before a running back given the rule changes. The Bills neglect of the OL is nothing new. It is a decades old curse. Sounds like a great way to build an NFL team. 🙄
  17. Jason Peters was an undrafted free agent. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_Peters
  18. I see the same possibility with Aaron Rodgers. Sportscasters are touting the Jets as super bowl contenders but I can't see it. Rodgers is old (for football), very rich, and seems to have other things on his mind besides football. I for one expect him to get injured and sit out much of the season. Keep in mind I have no factual basis to make this prediction LOL. Call it a strong hunch.
  19. Well I never kept a dollar past sunset It always burned a hole in my pants Never made a school mama happy Never blew a second chance, oh no I need a love to keep me happy I need a love to keep me happy Baby, baby keep me happy Baby, baby keep me happy
  20. Actually he is far more suited to play LT because of his agility. RTs are generally the big bruiser types. Jonah will never resemble Orlando Pace or other monster LTs but he is a good player and as I said, agile. I do agree however that he would be a fine LG.
  21. So needless to say I'm odds and ends But I'll be stumbling away Slowly learning that life is okay Say after me It's no better to be safe than sorry Take on me (take on me) Take me on (take on me) I'll be gone In a day or two
  22. You don't own me Don't try to change me in any way You don't own me Don't tie me down 'cause I'd never stay I don't tell you what to say I don't tell you what to do So just let me be myself That's all I ask of you
  23. Yes, 31 NFL Teams should look to us with admiration and even jealousy for the wonderful offensive lines we have been fielding for decades. Nothing short of continuous greatness. I mean after all, look at all of those premium draft picks we have invested in it.
