Working on the honey-do list so I get a peaceful football Sunday -
Thats excellent. Earlier this season I doubted his schemes but have been proven wrong. This past weekend's Defense was schemed to perfection. Jackson was basically operating in a 2x2 box which is clearly not his strength. The commitment to stopping the run and Jackson's scrambles, the composure of the players and the adherence to the plan won us that game. Kudos to Frazier.

The issue most analysts have is that they cannot put the Bills in any kind of box. This team really finds different ways to win. The D morphs into whatever it needs to, in order to take away the other teams strength (easy to say, difficult to do) and the O also doesnt have an ego and does what is needed. Having said that, its Allen and Diggs that really keep the other team honest. I have said it and will say it again - the Bills are winning like Belichick and Brady used to win: play disciplined football, minimize mistakes on O, dont lose your composure or cool in the most tense times (Colts and Ravens games), let the other team make key in-game mistakes and play the tough teams close. When Taron Johnson intercepted Jackson, the thought that came to mind (after I had screamed non stop for 5 minutes) is - hey that reminds me of Butler's interception of Wilson in Superbowl 49. Much as I think the Bills will lose to the Chiefs, I wont be surprised if the game is really close or if the Bills sneakily pull it off at the very end.

Visiting my daughter to help her with wedding planning. Returning 2 hours before the game. But that's tomorrow. I have no idea what to do for the rest of today -
‘Did You Know’ thread about the Bills

I did not know that he played for the Jests. But he was one of the worst picks during the drought. Close to McGahee in terms of FO stupidity -
Key to beating the Ravens- beating the blitz

Spy implies that he needs to keep up with Jackson if the latter breaks contain. Thats a daunting proposition and if the spy misses, it will set up LJ for a big gain due to the disproportionate number of hats. Instead, limiting LJ will be about gap control and containment. -
Ages of the QB's still in the playoffs

sum of the age of the 3 oldies = 122 Sum of ages of 5 younguns= 124 -
Funny you say that because after the game I was thinking (without shame) that "that game looked similar to a lot of games the Pats** used to win in the playoffs. Even when getting seemingly dominated, keep your cool, minimize mistakes, make critical plays on offense, great in-game coaching and pull off the close games"

We were certainly not playing complementary football in the first half (at least). A 25+ yard differential in field position was hurting really badly on both sides of the ball. The #of plays delta correlated with this. If it wasn't for that phenomenal drive prior to the end of the half (read: the Allen-Davis show), this game would have been unsalvageable in the second half.
