I spent my summer vacation in Toronto. I went to the hockey HOF in August. I have been a Sabres fanatic for years. But the NHL can bite me. Really. Millionaires arguing with millionaires.

Of course he will. There's always some sucker that will fall in love with Drew's ability to throw deep, completely disregarding his inadequate decision making on the field. Yawn.

Don't worry about me.....I took the day off. All my co-workers can deal with riding public transit home with hoards of drunks and truant high school kids, but not me.

I certainly enjoy his work more than the imfamous Dick Vitale. Raftery is more likely to comment on what is happening ON THE COURT rather than fill the airwaves with babble.

They did. I know someone serving in the army in Iraq, and some of them got to watch the game on an armed services broadcast, and they each were given two cans of Bud Light donated by AB.

Yeah, there are tons of bandwagon riders here in New England. Especially in my office. Last week I had a co-worker tell me they were a big Patriots fan -- but they didn't watch football until the playoffs started because they were bored by the regular season! I wanted to vomit when I heard that. One of these chowderheads was giving me the business about being a big Pats fan, and I asked them to name 5 players from their 1986 AFC champs team. THEY COULDN'T REMEMBER ONE! I asked them if they enjoyed watching Jim Nance and Gino Capelletti back in the day, and they looked at me blankly. (And it wasn't a 20-something kid I was talking to but someone in their 50s.) Oh sure, they've had long-time fans who have been with the team since they had hard times at Fenway, Harvard, or Schaefer Stadium. To those fans, I say congratulations today. But the chowderheads in their freshly minted Corey Dillon jersey who are bragging about the team should take some history lessons and learn to be gracious winners.

I find it extremely ironic that many of the same New Englanders who kvetch and complain about Yankees fans being smug, arrogant, and obnoxious are behaving just as badly today if not worse.

I predict the Eagles are in big trouble if they think they can keep blitzing Brady.

I would be happy never to see the faces of Bob Goodenow and Gery Bettman on my tv screen or in my newspaper ever again. It doesn't matter who you are siding with on this lockout....both of these guys are a couple of @ssclowns who are responsible for shutting down the NHL because they can't agree on how to cut up a big chunk of money. Shame on them all.

I know someone who "lost" her sister to TCOS in California....her sister took her kids and went to live with other "members", and she cut herself and her kids off from her husband and the rest of the family because they were non-believers. TCOS enlists certain celebrities into their membership with the promise they can "cure" their homosexuality......if you know anything about the TCOS I don't have to name any names.

Yeah, BFD about TO....Youngblood came back and played in the same game he broke his leg in...then played in the super bowl a couple weeks later. TO has had 6 weeks to recover.

I hope Time-Warner gets Adelphia because they seem to be the lesser of two evils. My friends who have T-W pay alot, but have ok customer service. Everyone I know who has Comcast is unhappy with their customer service. esp. regarding their internet service.
