  1. My job exposes me to death pretty much every day. Someday I will be immune to it. I hope not. RIP
  2. John, Like the Overdorf stuff. As much as this team has suxed for years, he comes up smelling like roses. Heard on WGR this afternoon (nope, I'm no proud of it) that Overdorf was responsible for Milloy being cut. Overdorf cut him and Milloy went to the coaching staff to tell them and they were flabbergasted. Apparently Overdorf did it to not have to pay Milloy $$ owed, and Ralphie paid him anyway because he was pissed.
  3. 1. I like Henne. 2. Wow, this must be the WORST announcing crew EVER!
  4. John Guy is the next to go for sure. My guess is Modrak won't be fired, he'll leave as a "mutual agreement" type of thing. A scout or two will go, for good measure. Now as players go, don't get too hyped but most of our current roster will stay. Why? You can only afford so many cut's/trades each year. So expect about 5 players to get outright release and replaced with FA, and the next 7 to be replaced via the draft. That's about a 1/4 of our roster this offseason, and total of 1/2 the year after.
  5. Just like every other assistant coach??
  6. Would be kinda classless to have interviews scheduled for DJ's replacement prior to firing him. Some prospects would balk at the job based on that alone, knowing the incumbent is still in place. As for a plan, if this is real that they spoke with Shanny, I call that a plan. I believe he was on the radar prior to DJ's firing and that was motivation to fire DJ and be first in the replacement HC sweepstakes.
  7. Sorry, but if those guys tried to tell me Billacheat is going to a be a Hall of Famer, I still wouldn't trust them. As for Shanny, go get him. Real NFL HC experience. Real SB experience. Good game manager. And if he brought just a few of his old guys with him, namely his old OC line coach and RB coach, all the better. And if memory serves, didn't it take Shanny to make Elway a Super Bowl WINNING QB?
  8. Exactly. No way would I want JJ affiliated with the Bills.
  9. Warner did great things in the AFL and ya see what he did in the NFL. Also, Maddox rejuvenated his career in the XFL and might have played longer if he wasn't injured.
  10. Doesn't Peyton only have a year left on contract??
  11. Exactly. Thing is, if Russ is looking into a true GM, Cowher won't be here. I think the dark horse is Dungy. Kinda been having that feeling for a little while. Only thing is, don't want it to be with Vick.
  12. Nope. Fired DJ to sell tix next season, avoiding a boycott. Maybin a bust? Can't say that yet. Maybe he does play some OLB now DJ bit the dust.
  13. Probably took the company jet to Detroit, on the hook for a cab ride home!!
  14. Less merchandise to unload when they move the team....
  15. The last bunch of years is littered with guys we just missed Big Ben, Willis, Spears (traded pick for Losman), Wolkfork... Also annoying are the guys we missed after our pick. No matter who we pick, I give them a 30% chance of drafting a stud player. Even if they had the #1 overall pick. Even if we pick a stud, DJ couldn't coach 'em anyway. Yep, you know he'll be back next year.
  16. DJ stays remainder of the year. No way Ralphie fires him.
  17. My question. Why were you on his site in the first place???
  18. Why? Because after those 7-9 seasons and us fans filling the seats, why would he change??
  19. Turned it on with under 3 minutes to play and watched BG march down the field. I did say to myself it looked just like the Bills.
  20. I like Quinn. Has a bit of an attitude and a Thurman Thomas type chip on his shoulder (thought he should have been drafted earlier). The Bills should do this? Which Bills? The DJ Bills? No way. DJ and crew can't even get Owens the ball, how do you expect them to mold "raw talent" like Quinn into a NFL QB? Now, if we get an actual NFL quality coach, I'd say why not, although no way you get him for a 4th rounder.
  21. Doesn't matter that he was let go when he was. Who knows how long he would have lasted anyway, and who knows how he would have handled the salary cap mess that was Bruce, Andre and Thurman. FWIW, I have the utmost respect for the man. He is just a fantastic GM.
  22. Personally, I am tired of his choppy, stop and go running style. No fluidity. Stops and allows the tacklers to get to him. Should we trade him? If we can get value (God I hate that term) then yes. Since he is a recent 1st round pick, I would want that in return, and even more. Would we get that? No way. Recent history has shown that elite backs can be had for chump change. And I wouldn't term Lynch as an elite back anyway. I would much rather start Jackson and bring Lynch in as the change of pace, hard yardage guy.
