  1. Whatever team gets him will get a shell of what he was. Will need to learn a new offense, and learn his new receiving teammates. At the money he’s going to command, especially if it’s a bidding war, not worth it. Not worried if we see him next year, especially with a new team and especially if it’s later in the year when he’s been beaten up good.
  2. Van Halen with DLR was an “in your face” rock band. Guitar heavy, screaming vocals. Van Halen with Sammy was more about musicianship and content. Prefer them with Sammy. Saw Sammy at Fallsview a few years back with his band “The Circle”. Amazing show! Can’t wait to see him in July at Seneca Niagara.
  3. Sorry for your losses. Yes, those who pass on do wait for family to leave, I’ve seen it many times. It may seem unfair, but it’s not. The person wants what is best for the grieving family.
  4. I have been with many patients as they drew their last breaths. Tried hard to make sure they were as comfortable as I could help them be. There are many I will never forget. Being ill and in the hospital tends to bring patient and caregiver closer. You try not to because of the weight it bears, but you can’t help it. Some of them are the course that is expected, others sudden. The sudden ones are not always the worst. It’s the ones you get to know the patient and their families. The ones you get to know on a personal level. That being said, it is different when it’s a family member. My mother passed a few years back. Tried to be stoic and treat it as I would any other patient. Make sure she was comfortable - suctioned drainage, cleaned her mouth, etc. I’ll say it’s interesting how fast you forget what you’ve learned and have trouble processing and handling it when its a family member.
  5. I was surprised to see the cost to repair being $200. Did some checking, and it is that much, maybe more. You can try and repair yourself with the $30 option and if it doesn’t work, no real loss. I have AT&T cell phone insurance coverage that extends to all my electronics. Check to see that you don’t have similar coverage. Worst case is you buy a new iPad. $329 for a brand new 10.2 inch with 32 GB, $429 for 128 GB. How old was it?
  6. Fine. Hope the Bills outplay the ‘Hawks this season.
  7. World league lasted because of its NFL affiliation and being a feeder league. Football is king in this country, don’t believe fans will support a rival league long term unless the XFL signs college or NFL stars. Yes, yesterday was promising, and today should only continue because if that hype. The XFL is funded for at least 3 years. Is the ultimate goal to become the NFL farm system? Don’t believe the NFL has any interest in that.
  8. Believe they are on a 3 year deal. May be wrong. From what I read, they are funded for 3 years. Their costs should contain no big surprises from now until then - player/coach cost and stadium costs should be somewhat set. They just can’t depend on TV, ticket or merchandise revenue.
  9. One would think so. The NFL basically covers their player salaries with TV revenue every year. There is TV revenue and sponsorships. Have to have a fan base to score the sponsors. Ultimately, will fans support year round football? I’ll be honest, love the NFL but don’t mind the off-season. Can get things done on the weekends...
  10. The original question was, will it be around I’m 6 months? I believe yes. 2 years from now? I doubt it. McMahon will do what it takes to play minimum of 2 years. Would want to outdo the AAF. I believe there is more of an appetite for football now, than when XFL-1 was around. Should have a better TV audience than back then. Interesting thing is they don’t get a dime from ESPN or Fox for TV rights so they best have a plan as ticket revenue isn’t going to keep them afloat. edit: Apparently the league is funded for 3 years. Doesn’t mean they won’t pull the plug early.
  11. Yep. Financed by Jim McMahon.
  12. Good coach. Surprised he’s been out of the NFL so long.
  13. 72 years old. Last coached Birmingham Iron in the AAF. Last coached NFL in 2008 - defensive coordinator Chargers
  14. PJ Walker is the dude the Steelers wanted to sign in October to play Lamar Jackson in practice. XFL blocked it because he was on their roster.
  15. Surprisingly seem well coached on both sides of the ball.
  16. Wanted no part blocking on that reverse.
  17. “Pain heals, chicks dig scars and glory lasts forever”
  18. Imagine putting THAT on your resume....
  19. So, a TD with a 3 point extra point and a FG ties the game.
  20. Gardner from Seattle seems to be a decent RB. Tried out for Niners, made it until final cuts. Also played in AAF. Dude ran for 2,266 yards in college at Humboldt State (never heard of) in 2015. https://hsujacks.com/sports/football/roster/ja-quan-gardner/5760
  21. Funny watching Zorn cover his mouth calling plays. Dude, you’re mic’d up.
  22. Been entertaining to watch so far. Having a few ex-bills makes it a bit more fun.
  23. Need to install better short yardage extra-point plays.
  24. Had to replay that. F bomb was awesome!
  25. Impressive amount of fans in team gear. Even saw a few team jerseys. Wonder if they had promotional pricing to get as much n the fans as possible.
