GIANTS/FALCONS Official MNF Thread

Good lord. Barkley just got absolutely blown up in pass protection by a DB. -
Someone needs to be fired over Mahomes right now.

I find it hard to believe Whaley was given the power to decide whether or not to take a QB in the 1st round when it was widely know he was getting fired after draft. If true, Pegula and McDermott are idiots. -

The fact that we traded the pick to Kansas City for Mahomes could go down as one of the all time blunders for an organization known for blunders. Instead of taking Mahomes and franchising Gilmore, we take a CB and draft a raw QB from Wyoming. We’re going on about our 7th rebuild in the last 20 years. We trade Hall of Famers and good players for pennies on the dollar, regularly let good free agents walk, and can’t develop a QB because the rest of the team stinks. -
Raiders now Shopping Derek Carr (?)
BuffaloRebound replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No decent QB is coming here voluntarily for at least the next 2 years with Allen on roster. We might actually be able to sign good free agent WR’s and TE’s with Carr on board. We have more than enough cap space the next few years. Carr could be cut anytime with no dead money. Cleveland traded pick #65 for Tyrod and paid him $16m. Carr is worth a 2nd rounder and $20m per year. Hopefully Allen works out but he isn’t ready. -

After this year, Carr has 4 years $79m left on his contract with no guarantees. So you can basically cut him whenever you want. If somebody doesn’t give up at least a 2nd rounder for him, Carr must be damaged goods. Keenum and Bradford are making that kind of money. Has Carr fallen that far? -
I’d say it’s the opposite. Eagles showed they are a contender despite Smallwood’s 18 carries for 51 yards and 1 fumble. Bell or McCoy can put them over the hump. I doubt they trade draft picks for a RB if they looked like crap and fell to 2-4. If they want to challenge the Rams in NFC, they’re gonna need an upgrade over Smallwood.

Bojorquez should be cut

If his hang time was relevant, his net average would be worse than his gross average. Since he’s 18th in gross and 16th in net, that means his hang time is basically irrelevant. -
[Vague Title] Trade bait?
BuffaloRebound replied to bills in oregon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’d be shocked if Bills got anything for McCoy. Then again, somebody took on Dareus’s contract, but that kind of money for a RB with that kind of mileage and also a lot of baggage. Would take an injury to somebody like Gurley or Kareem Hunt for a team to even entertain the thought. -
Thursday Night Football: Colts at Pats

Not buying it. Someone is gonna have to take that a-hole out during a game. QB’s are playing longer and that d-bag will lie, cheat, and steal to buy himself a couple more years. -

He has not looked this good. I was a critic but I’ll shut up now. He’s looked great tonight. His arm is back. -

How the hell do guys play WR in NFL that can’t catch. You’d think that’d be a prerequisite. -

That was Bills-like pass rush. -

Luck got his fastball back. His ball has velocity on it tonight. -
We do need a legit backup QB. Peterman can’t be anything other than a #3 QB. A guy like Matt Moore is probably a better and less expensive option though.

It was low class but still hard not to laugh. -

Agreed. As a Bills fan for 35 years, I can handle losing. The painful thing is watching defenses pin their ears back and basically bully our offense while opposing QB’s pick apart our defense. It’s like being married to a boxer who gets their butt kicked every round. Your just hoping the bell rings to finish the round. It’s a lot more fun as a fan when your team is the aggressor regardless of the outcome. -

Jets D gave Taylor no respect as a passer. They were blitzing on almost every play as they had no fear he could beat them with his arm. Once Mayfield started slinging it all over the field Jets D looked lost. Mayfield took away their aggressiveness. -

That was a horrible pass by Darnold. He is really jittery in pocket.
